I built it on a s10 chassis. 283 engine ,5 speed ,can get over 30 mpg, 94 buick riviera grill, home made 3rd brake light/roof vent, hardtop, cowl induction. Cheapest car I have driven. Yes, I like it.
I I like the front and rear fascia treatments. It is like a Fiat / Cobra/ Tiger/ Vette , and the removable hard-top is a nice touch! had a 74 Fiat 124 Spyder...what a fun car. It had a fantastic exhaust note and header type manifold on it. Then I later had a Chev Monza with a 350 and 4 speed...it was a fun little torque monster- now combine the two! Love it.
Did you have to cut the firewall to make room? Is that the stock location of the seats? My 74 has a backseat area that isn't really usable as a back seat. I was wondering if you did away with the back seat and moved everything backwards?
I had a 1971 124 SC. I did some work on it including installing beautifully manufactured Abarthe exhaust. Overall your “fiat” is really fine. Maybe a slightly lower exhaust note.
Love it man. You've totally made it your own, why be constrained to keeping it authentic? I just bought a 79 pinnafarina spider that I'm starting to get into. Wanting to do a replica of the fiat abarth mid seventies rally car, but with a twist. Nice job squeezing the v8 in there!
I'm starting to do this with a 1974 Alfa Romeo. The only engine swaps I see online are 4.3 V6 swaps, so even with the little ford 302 I might have to cut a hole in the firewall. We'll see. I'm hoping for this to be one of those cars that's on the verge of frightening to drive, haha.
Hey if they have GM V6 swap you could probably make a Grand National / Buick T-Type 3.8 Turbo V6 work! They can be found or built. Would be wicked fast with a GNX spec engine / trans and rear end - you could use all the GM designed controls for it. A stock GNX motor in a small car like that could be 10 sec car...lol!
Nice I know what it took to get to where your at on this build. I to used S10 parts for many areas on my build. Like the rear end . Brad with " Fiat 124 Spider V8 302 "
Hey I have a 1976 fiat spider that has been sitting for 32 years. barn find! that I am restoring, but also considering a full engine swap. I was curious what trans was used and how the motor to this is mounted in,also what cooling system? just trying to consider my options. great build

Been planning how to build one myself ! First one I seen with a frame swap. 👍
I would paint it your favorite color....beautiful car!
Did want to ask about the hardtop ? A fiat top ? And the year of your car!
Need feedback. Good-bad. suggestions, etc. Thanks.

Good luck, hope it turns out the way you want, scary 😁.

Nice Fiat Spider. What car are the front turn signals from?
backup lights from 65 mustang
turn signal, running lights are reworked 65 mustang repro backup lights.
How much more or less invested to get where you are at?
around $7,000, Built the car entirely myself over two years ,so that would add another 5 - 10 k. For a complete car build , that is really cheap.
impressive engineering but the bonnet ruins the look.
In Deutschland braucht er ein Elektro Motor😂😂😂nix v8
