we have these at work. when they get dull, that's when they slip off of the surface your are deburring, and you'll end up gouging your hand. we've had several people end up going for stitches because of these. granted, they work well when the blade is SHARP, but be warned when they get dull.

this tool is actualy very handy for other stuff like heads and blocks after resurfacing to get the little metal tabs you sometimes end up with sticking out in the water passages i know its not important or probably even needed to be done but its kinda nice

If you use this tool be careful when the safety tip brakes off it will cut deep and fast in your arm hands or whatever you hit when it brakes

Great for flat stock and the I.D. of cylinders. I wish there was an equally easy to use tool for the O.D. Yes, I know I can use a grinder, file, sandpaper or other abrasive device.

How to buff out sharp edges from a 925 silver bracelet, is there such thing as a buff cloth?, it’s scratching my wrist the edges are rough. It doesn’t need to be buffed pretty as no one sees the under gallery of the silver part on my wrist. Thank you!

Would this tool work for smoothing out the rough edges of silverware that accidentally went down the garbage disposal?

Try a flat file to slowly smooth it out.. Deburring tool not good for your application.
