Un freekin beliveable bro i did what you said and it worked like a dream ....i cut some brand new exhaust pipe...( of course that i didnt want to mess up)...and my cuts came out perfect...thanx again.
I get a piece of heavy duty angle & Cut two 90 degree straight cuts about 3/4 the way through it (so it is still joined near the angled point). I use two hacksaw blades at the same time in the hacksaw to do this (it makes the cut wider). Then I put the cut angle in a vice with the point down and lay the tube in it. I then go back to one blade in the hacksaw and use the two pre-made cuts in the angle to make super straight cuts in the tube. works perfectly every time & you can use it zillions of times.

Use sawzall, keep the guard on straight the the cut shall do the same
I cut into it too and the cut was off by 1mm. So maybe this tip isn't so great after all
Must agree it is still to hard to do. If the hose clamp was a bit thicker it would be better.
Maybe this could work out well if you lubricate the tube, so that the clamp can align itself
