This music goes great along the lonely stretches through southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky through the Ohio river. Something ancient and indescribable
I understand. Right now I'm listening to this at a hotel in West Virginia, in the process of moving from Ohio to Virginia. Earlier today I stopped at the world's only Mothman museum.

Iacguard Causeway always makes me feel a profound sadness, a longing for something I'll never get back - the kind that leaves a huge lump in your throat. One of their most emotional tracks for me.
I was skiing, with my BoC playlist on. As Causeway started the sun came out for the first time in what felt like all winter. I cried. I don't even know why. I looped it and skied for another hour. So powerful. I can't even describe it
This is really great. So much of Boards of Canada can be short sketches. Putting them together is the way. This is properly industrial - I had expected from the name that it would be the soothing, go-to-sleep sort of stuff. Happy to be wrong.
I've clicked through so many videos, through so many incredible, weird ambient landscapes... I feel like I'm going on a train trip, seeing a succession of crazy, never-before-seen scenes from history, important, weird musics through the window as I pass... there's so much to explore. So many places to alight and dwell in the ambiences that are on offer. This stop, in particular, is brilliant 🤓
I'm getting towards the end of this mix now... There are some REALLY great choices from the BoC pool that you've chosen for this mix! Very nice job, thank you for re-uploading!
Oh man, finally got uploaded again! I was wondering what the half-asleep mix sounded like, since it was taken down for a while. I've been listening to BOC for a couple years at this point, and gotta say this mix is also pretty good :)
@@deathtoblankmist Sure, though this isn’t really meant to be a "sleep mix". I have a specific meaning in mind for what "Half Asleep" means compared to "Half Awake", one that’s reflective of the general mood of the tracklist.
excellent picks. couldn't have thought of a better track to end with than farewell fire. tears from the compound eye would've been good in this mix too i feel like :)
I listened to a sleep mix of boards of Canada made by naked flame. when I woke up to telepath in the middle of the night, I was left with a weird feeling.
listening to this while staring directly into the solar eclipse
RIP @Dillpicklesalad's eyes
Did you get to see hexagon sun?
Don't stare 😮 the eclipse is shy
atta boy…live your best life !
that's the way to do it my man

OHIO? WHAT THE SKIBIDI??
sounds great in the literal warzone too

@@jeremymr if I ever get out that way I hope I meet BOC people

I'm so sorry for nitpicking, but it's "Semena Mertvykh", not "Mertvykn"
Also, "Jacquard Causeway"
Also, "Diving Station"
@@Somedude48 I also made an error here - I typed it as “Mertyykh”, not “Mertvykh” - thankfully it’s hard to spot
What a random surprise. I've been playing The Half Awake Mix a lot lately
Chinook sounds like a twist on the synth intro to the Cure's Forest.
woah, I like both of those songs but I've never made the connection

over 11 years now since Tomorrow's Harvest. BOC, give us what we need
That intro transition was awesome, this is a true S tier boc mix
First I was like, "meh, another BOC remix".
And now I'm gobsmacked...
Awesome job, mate!
Exactly! And the half awake mix is as equally impressive. Possibly my two favorite fan made BOC mixes

'Soylent Night' into 'Nothing is real' is money. Two of my fav BoC tracks. Great mix Gabriel O.
Music is Math reversed is so great. Glad I recognize that.

I like you. I want to buy a ticket now.
This is great for editing photos in a small room at night. Been listening to the other mix as well and loving them both.
Great mix of tunes. I love them. I have been following Boards of Canada forever.
masterpiece to masterpiece : the wizards of sound and emotion

Yoooo!! I just discovered the Half Awake mix a couple months ago and it's one of my faves. Now so is this one!
let me wear something more casual, from awakemix suit to asleepmix suit.
I initially thought this was a fake account that reuploaded your Half Awake Mix and ignored it for a few days. Great mix, thank you. Glad I listened!
One man's half awake is another man's half asleep...
The long awaited sequel
I've been playing the half awake mix too
It's back!
This mix is so good
You did it! Really good stuff in here man, perfect for Halloween :)
love how seamless the transitions are in these. thanks for the mix and welcome back!
So many good boc tunes, hard to choose :)
I love this so much.... the transitions are so well done

Me too! Always enjoyed the half-awake mix, and that dead link for the half-asleep mix always made me a bit sad. BoC rocks!
YES. this is so good, i'm so glad you made another one. keep it up!
thank you, i feel more motivated thanks to your mix
To me, this list would benefit from including "Slow This Bird Down" somewhere. It’s the one track I think about when I hear the words "half asleep"

YES i loved the half awake mix so much

Heard other mix first and thought I'd missed the boat on this one. Glad to be wrong and this is good stuff. 👏🏼

Nice mix bro
Sooo great!!
Listening to this while doin' some art.
Photos, texts, collecting new ideas.
There's truly nothing better.
refreshhhhing
7:10 isn't this that crazy live version? Peels session isn't it?
let's go
17:50 kick back to suicideboys
Now all you need to make is a fully awake mix and a deep sleep mix, and the cycle will be complete.
Nope, these two together are a complete project
@@gabriel.o. That's too bad. I really like the selections of music, and what you do with the transitions through the songs is great.
Is this Radiohead on Methylphenidate?
What is Audio Track B08 from?
Isn't "Circle" from Hooper Bay a fake (not actually made by BoC?)
Were did you acquire this ?
