In card making, we call this stack, cut & shuffle. I will certainly be “whacking” some card fronts instead of cutting them neatly!! I needed a quick card idea to meet my goals for the month. Love love love how they turned out! Our weather just keeps going lower and lower. I feel for the Florida football players coming to town as the temps and windchill will be dangerous for the game on Sunday. We had snow earlier in the week, but now it’s just frozen piles. My Pomeranian just walks across the snow. Her dad shoveled her a path which uses to get to the back of the yard where she goes rogue! Stay warm!!
This is so cool! You could use inks gold along the edges and it would look like kitsugi!

One thing I loved about this technique, it takes away the sometimes difficult decision of what scrap to use, where. Each of these looked so cool. The inking gave it a marbeling effect. ❤
Going gluten free has helped me a ton too, Gayle! I knew it bothered my stomach, but I didn't realize how much more pain I was in, how much it was impacting my sleep and my skin and my mood. Some Italian restaurants have gluten free pasta, so you might be able to get your go-to with gluten free pasta instead of the angel hair it normally comes with.
I was so intrigued by the video title, but, my friend, this was the WORST video for me to watch today. I'm away from home, watching on my tablet, with only fussy cutting to keep me occupied. All I want to do is stack and whack up a storm. 🥺 LOVED this so much. I have to do this, asap. Thanks for sharing! Hi Gayle ☀️. Thanks so much for the shout out 💕. Quilting stack & whack does not go quite as fast as the paper version. We have to cut pieces with a rotary cutter. We have to have straight edges so we can sew them back together. I must say I like the paper tag version a lot! Just as unique as the fabric ones.
Love Anne Kenlon's channel and watched her video a week or so ago. Tried quilting 20 years ago and stack and whack was the name of the quilt. 😁 Nice video, thanks

Good morning Gayle!! What a unique idea for collaging. Easy peasy and not having to think about it. Love this!! So cold here I couldn't work in my shed yesterday. Heater only got it up to 38 degrees in there!! 😂 But I was able to get a stack of fabric and lace clusters made while watching TV. Going to hand stitch them today. This arctic weather can go away anytime now!! 🤣 Have an awesome Saturday...💜

Good morning my dear friend, we got another ton of snow last night and it continues to snow now. The temperature has been dropping and it’s really cold out. I’m so grateful that I do not need to be anywhere over the next few days, I can stay in my warm house. I enjoyed this video and the interesting tags. Great idea.

Very fun idea and as a process improvement retired professional who is passion about paper crafts I would suggest inking all of the edges around the pattern paper before you paperclip them together. They are loose enough and you literally can go around and ink all four edges while you hold them in one hand loosely… Hope that makes sense. After you make your first “whack” do the same thing on the two edges that are held by a paperclip and continue to do all the edges before you lay them out on top of your tags. You end up with a minimum time investment inking edges🎉. Oh gosh, and if you really want to live dangerously, just go ahead and put the glue on the tag and then add all five pieces… Versus taking the time to glue each piece of the tag. Trust me it all works out they take a little practice. Have fun.
I have to admit, this is very fun looking!! This could also be adapted to making journal cards as well, couldn't it? Thanks for telling us about this procedure. It always pays to watch your videos, Gayle!! 😄

You had krusteaz honey cornbread with chili and I had krusteaz honey cornbread with homemade vegetable soup. Yum! Not as cold here in SC but homemade always warms the heart and soul. Love the tags will have to try with my next journal. Hugs.

This project is fun. I’ve made two Stack & Whack quilts over 20 years ago. It’s cold, sunny but the wind is blowing the snow everywhere. We had gotten some more snow overnight and it’s negative temps for the next several days for highs. Have a blessed day!

Love the wack & stack idea
How fun! I’m about to start a journal for a male friend and have been stressing about what to do. He’s a very “buttoned up,” coordinated kinda guy. The coordinated papers of a 6x8 paper pad will work great for his taste. And the torn pieces will introduce him to the controlled chaos of collage, without messing up his brain too much😂. Perfect! I thought that sounded familiar! I did greeting cards that way, then embossed them with a beautiful embossing folder. Gorgeous!! Thanks for showing how great the tags came out!! The inking of the pieces really makes them stand out!
Where you used the lighter color, I used gold patterned paper. Stunning!!

This is a cool idea! Never heard of this technique but I’m not a quilter. It’s really cool. I had Jeff watch some since he enjoys doing collages with me. He thought he would enjoy it😊. Kiran was in here and watched when I ask Jeff to watch and he said to be sure to tell you he watched too and likes your art. He ask if he could make you some art and would I send it to you and I said of course, Gayle would love that😊. Love and hugs to you❤️. It’s suppose to be -22 in the morning, brrr!

Hi and hugs to you. 🥰 I had never heard of this until I saw Anne do it and now you’re doing it so I think I’m going to maybe have to try it. I’m probably going to come back and watch the rest later. I need to take my amended tax return to the post office because I screwed up my taxes and they came after me. My tax preparation software that I use doesn’t support an amended return, probably because it’s free, so I had to do it the old-fashioned way by mailing it. I should’ve known when I filed my taxes last year when I had to pay way less than I normally have to pay that I did something wrong, oh well, this brings it back to what I normally have to pay. 💰 💰

I love this 💡 idea. I am in a card swap for February and was looking for a new idea. BINGO 🎉 I have several pretty spring papers. Each card must include a flower so my spring papers will work perfectly for this. 😊❤

Good morning Gayle. These are so cool! After your video yesterday I went over to Anne's channel and subscribed. I enjoyed her video and looking forward to seeing more. I did tell her you sent me. The Reacher show is really good but the books by Lee Child are so much better and there are many available. I started reading the books before the show came on Amazon.
