Sandy, I think the cat figurine that you weren't sure what it was made of & couldn't figure out the signature, was done by "Shapes of Clay by Stan". the signature was Stan and they were made of Mt St Helen's ash. Very common to see his stuff out where I live (western WA), but can't say I've seen a cat.

When I started reselling online 3 years ago, one of my first purchases was some Fenton cranberry coin dot glasses found on sale at Shawnee Antique Mall. They sold quickly and gave me the boost I needed. And, at A Fabulous Find in Mission, I found two Glassybaby drinkers at $3 each ... same story. If you are still in the area, I suggest W.D. Pickers which is north on I-29 ... I was very impressed with the amount of vintage and antiques I saw there.
