Lost Ruins of Arnak is a beautiful and extremely competitive game and one of my new favourites.
I really love playing this game. I love the rhythm, the mechanics, the theme, and how not two games are ever the same.
I also find that it lasts just the right time and hits that sweet spot between complexity and ease of learning. It’s easy to learn and quick to play.
It is a great game that feels like a race to the finish between all players from the get-go to see how far you’ll get into the lost temple. That makes it a lot of fun.
Tabletop games are really fun but learning the complicated directions and rules can be a challenge. Lavinia and Peter explain the rules quickly and easily so you get to play faster while giving you all the tips you need to get better.

Nice video. I do have an editing tip for you; if you edit your voice audio. Fill the no audio gaps with room tone. Room tone is the ambient sound of a quiet room. The mic always picks up slight sound. Use this room tone to bridge your voice edit. Because here you don’t do it (example 2:01) that zero sound is noticeable. That’s why we record room tone. Listening becomes instantly much more natural instead of jarring. Take it from a filmmaker :-) in film after shooting a scene. The boom operator often records 1 minute of roomtone. Just for that purpose. Helps the edit a lot. Keep up the great work

@@GamesMadeEasyVery much enjoyed Colt Express. We were able to jump right in without much reference to the manual. There was a big sale on the colt express items and was able to get the whole collection for about $70. Got the core, three expansions and all the Bandits packs.

Thank you. I bought this game because of the great job you did explaining it thoroughly. Will be attempting a solo -lay through this week when I crack it open. I’d love to see a video for Port Royal (Big Box edition) as well as Ark Nova, and Beyond the Sun. :)

We tried to play this but never made it past setup. Something we all couldn’t figure out is how you would accomplish anything with realistically only five one time actions. Seems like there is no way to make it even up the research ladder because of how many spaces there are and having to move the magnifying glass one turn then the book a second.
Any help on this would be great!

The first round or two are shorter than the rest, but as you buy more cards, discover sites, etc your options open up and end up doing quite a lot of things in one round. The track gives you things as you go up, it's important to match what you are receiving with what you need to do, the order in which you do certain things is sometimes important. I hope this helps, maybe play it a few times, to get the flow.
@@GamesMadeEasy thank you! I guess what I’m trying to understand is the one action per turn list. How do I make it up the ladder that has 10 turns worth of actions if I only have 5 turns?
aah, I understand where the confusion may be. You have 5 rounds, but within those 5 rounds you can do as many turns as you want, you do 1 action at a time. If everyone has passed, you continue taking actions until you have passed. Is it clearer?
I guess I will just have to play it out, but ONE main action seems soooo limited to get anything done! Maybe it's like Everdell where it starts to spin up and get going once your first couple turn decisions start clicking?
The first round is short but once you get the engine going, there's a lot of things to do.
