I have a Fitbit Sense and the face came off in August 2021, 10 months later the replacement did the same thing. I never get it wet, I do sleep with it on for sleep tracking and such. Fitbit said they will give me 35% off on a third watch, will not replace it. I have owned many watches from this company but I will never own another one again!! Starting my search for a new fitness tracker!
Thank you for this very informative video! I will go with the fitbit Sense, as the way it is more detailed for sleep and exercise is exactly what I am looking for.
The Apple Watch is a notifications watch that does fitness on the side. I’ve worn one for the last couple of years and I love it. Especially while working in the office. But I just started on a new fitness journey and I don’t need the notifications as much because I work at home due to the pandemic so I picked up the Sense for $200 on Black Friday. If you want fitness specs and data that motivates you to hit your goals the Sense wins hands down.
I’m using Fitbit more than 7 years now and every year I had to change them as they die all the time!! I’ve decided to try Apple Watch now! I hope they are not the same!!!!
I have always had the Fitbit with the fitness pal app and always enjoyed. Looking at the iwatch 6 and I really feel that the Fitbit sense has more to offer me but the downside is definitely the music...
I switched from Fitbit after using them from the beginning. Two reasons, I am older now and wanted fall detection and the ability for the watch to call for help. I live in an icy climate in the winter. Also, Google bought Fitbit and I am concerned about privacy, not that I am doing anything that couldn’t be exposed. Once that I found out that Facebook was tracking me to my financial site I freaked about privacy!
If the apple watch could compete with battery life I'd absolutely switch. I have an iPhone and iPad and love them but I sleep tracking is important to me and I can't deal with having to charge it every 12 hours.
I was seriously considering the Sense even though I have an iPhone. I love my Fitbit Alta but but now it won’t hold a sync with my phone. I’m 23 and was diagnosed with Class (Stage) 1 heart failure in March 2019. Last month, I learned that the right side of my heart has enlarged. I purchased the Apple Watch Series 6 for this reason, to keep track of my heart. I thought that the Apple Watch wasn’t going to be as accurate as what my cardiologists did. Should I start using the Series 6 again and am I overreacting? I’d love to know if anyone else here was in similar situations like me.
I think with your special circumstances, you might need a more precise medical monitor than an Apple watch. Apple themselves warn people that the Apple watch cannot replace a real medical monitor. I hope you will have a speedy recovery soon 🙏
It’s plenty accurate enough for longitudinal data, which could be enough to save your life. The Apple Watch also has the SOS feature that will call an ambulance to your location if you fall and/or have an unusual pulse. If your doctors are recommending it, they’re probably doing so from experience. Good luck on your journey back to good health.
Oh my god. Take care man. That is really young to have heart issues. I heard a lot great things about Apple Watch s6 optical heart rate that it is crazy accurate for intense HIIT workout which a lot could not keep up with including fitness watches. However that is not really your use case so I think it is best to look for real medical equipments too.

the Fitbit ionic monitored sleep SpO2 & sleep patterns, but one has to be a sleep for 3 hours. Does the Sense device require a minimum time range to capture the same data? i am senior man & all men have prostate issues, causing numerous trips to the bathroom over night. Even with medication to address the issue, i may go the trip to bathroom every 2 hours.
I have a Fitbit myself and whenever I wake up and do something, it essentially cancels my sleep and it won’t count it. It will only count when I fall asleep the second time

I really don't want to charge my watch every night, so I got the fitbit sense! It is really cool, BUT for heart rate tracking during high intensity workout the sensors kinda suck on sweaty skin... which is a downside given the fact it is a fitness watch... it shows a heartrate of 160 - 170 bpm as heartrate of 120 bpm. Not good! I hope fitbit is working on this problem!
Hello can somebody please answer me a very important question??? So I have watched the video and after careful consideration I have one last question before I decide if I should buy the Apple Watch or the Fitbit sense. The question is: If two witches watch two watches, which witch would watch which watch??
I dumped my Apple watch after I switched from Sense to Apple. The Sense is the best exercise and fitness watch. The Apple has all the stuff my Iphone has. In order to get the best battery life on the Apple I had to turn off a lot of the features including using black and white. By then I said why have an Apple I can't fully use.
Exactly. I ditched my Watch SE for a Fitbit charge 6 for the same reasons as yours. I never liked how the smart watches kinda tried to be an iPhone replacement and the I never loved the short battery life
Great review. The differences and similarities are explained perfectly. Good to have two products which are not exactly same and each has its own unique features. I have been a Fitbit user since the first one came but have always been curious of Apple watch too. There are many cool features in Apple watch too. I currently own a Versa 2 and the battery life is superb. Hope apple improves the battery life but with the minute improvements they make with every iteration, I hope they don't take too long to match battery life of a Fitbit.
Considering you use Versa 2, is it worth buying Versa 3. Every review I see, feel negatives out-way the positives + many features are hidden due to premium membership thing.
The FitBit may provide a lot more sleep data, but I'm not sure how high-quality it is. For example, it regularly records my Dad as being deeply asleep when he's actually watching TV, and as being awake when my Mum can confirm he's actually asleep. The issues aren't as egregious for me, but I still don't trust the data, and feel Apple are being more honest about what can reliably be measured.
I have apple watch series 6, and have the oxygen app working all day and night, watch face = info, oxygen top right, with the breath app in the middle to keep the oxygen app working. Hope it works for you
Hi Lexy, I had considered the Fitbit in the past but I finally decided on the Apple Watch. It will be here (Anaheim) by Friday. I appreciate your review, the comparisons, and the feature descriptions. Good video, thanks :-)
I got a Sense last week only because I I could get it using Flybuy points and it cost me next to nothing. It is a big step up over the ionic which I had previously. Build quality is also a big improvement as my previous 4 fitbits fell apart over a relatively short timeframe. I was considering the series 6 as I use IOS exclusively. I may try one next time depending on how long the Sense lasts. I don’t so far see much value in the paid subscription but will use it for the free 6 month period. Cheers.
how long the previous fitbit's feel apart? 2 years? on average how much did you pay for fitness tracker or smart watch? I am looking for a replacement for fitbit charge 3 fitness as that one failed and now with the update I cannot see the screen outdoors
Question specific to these two smart watches, which one is best for apps specific to golf app. Looking for golf course layout, yardage to the pin and score tracking?
This is really helpful. Not sure which one I prefer yet. I like the sleep info on the Fitbit, but then I also like what Apple does... hmmm. I'll have to think...
I know who thought not storing music on the device was a good idea, people buying it for fitness tracking. I have a Sense and I prefer it not store music because that storage will take up space that is very limited. And your video confirms getting the Sense was a better option, my main feature was sleep tracking and I agree it is much better on Fitbit. Apple focuses on music as they can leverage their related services to make users potentially spend more. Especially since I got it $100 less due to pricing error at the store. Thank you for the info, there was a few features I was not aware of!
The apple watch is miles better lol, btw I found a really good budget smartwatch at watchplaystore, just google them, dual core cpu and a really good screen plus it's on budget :D
was really wanting to buy the fit bit for sleep tracking. but not if its locked behind a pay wall what alternative are there for a good sleep tracking watch?
Great video! I feel Fitbit does a much better job of displaying your data in neat graphs, but I prefer a more accurate heart rate reading from the Apple Watch.
1 day battery life is a deal breaker on the Apple Watch. It means you'll put it on charge before bed probably, so it won't monitor sleep... The Fitbit OS could do with enhancement though. Ideally with full Android function like Apple Watch does with iPhone
Another influence has to be how Fitbit wouldn't acknowledge glass crack issues. I had 2. One they replaced, the other they refused but I hadn't worn the watch! Won't touch them now.
I don’t see the need for an Apple Watch. I’m already chained to the hip with my iPhone. I like that fit bit even gives you recipes and so on in the premium setup. I LOVE the idea of more detailed sleep analysis. I mean, I pretty much already know how LONG I was asleep - I need to evaluate the addt’l data a Fitbit would provide.
My "best of both worlds" solution for the past 11 months was to wear the Apple watch SE on my left wrist and the Fitbit on my right wrist. If I decide to wear only one of them, then I guess I would choose the Apple.

Been waiting for a good review between these two smart devices. Thank you! By the way, that transition from Zoom meeting to workout clothes was hilarious. 😂
Can I leave my phone at home will I still get notifications/calls ???
Thank you for this very informative video! I will go with the fitbit Sense, as the way it is more detailed for sleep and exercise is exactly what I am looking for.
The Apple Watch is a notifications watch that does fitness on the side. I’ve worn one for the last couple of years and I love it. Especially while working in the office. But I just started on a new fitness journey and I don’t need the notifications as much because I work at home due to the pandemic so I picked up the Sense for $200 on Black Friday. If you want fitness specs and data that motivates you to hit your goals the Sense wins hands down.
👌👌👌👍👍✌️✌️❤️well put
I’m using Fitbit more than 7 years now and every year I had to change them as they die all the time!! I’ve decided to try Apple Watch now! I hope they are not the same!!!!
Fitbits only last for 1 year?
I have always had the Fitbit with the fitness pal app and always enjoyed. Looking at the iwatch 6 and I really feel that the Fitbit sense has more to offer me but the downside is definitely the music...
Can I leave my phone at home and just use the watch? Will I still get notifications???? Does it have a sim card slot????
@@dnegel9546 only the Apple Watch has cell service available
@@coopercrockett1636 what... That seriously sucks.. what's the point of those watches.
Can’t afford either of them. Came here for lexy ❤️
If the apple watch could compete with battery life I'd absolutely switch. I have an iPhone and iPad and love them but I sleep tracking is important to me and I can't deal with having to charge it every 12 hours.
Is it safe to say that those Fitbit Sense issues with lagging and slowness will be fixed by Fibit at some point?
I was seriously considering the Sense even though I have an iPhone. I love my Fitbit Alta but but now it won’t hold a sync with my phone. I don’t have time to keep installing, uninstalling to get it to work again. For this reason I don’t want to put a lot of money into their watch. They’re not known for customer support.😔
Fitbit would sell well if only they revamp their OS!
Ikr
Years ago Fitbit bought Pebble, who's OS & UI was far superior. Fitbit threw it all away, and did nothing with it.
google bought them we might see either a google watch or a beefed up Fitbit.
@@3Peter3 All that's going to change is google is going to integrate their services into the existing platform, and use that collect more data. Innovation or creating a better product isn't google's mo anymore.
@@kristfur Yeah I can see them creating the Android watch OS/fit-bit integration. google has become very scary collecting data, will probably stop using their products.
I had Vitbit Versa Basic for 4 years but it‘s going to be out of service soon! I mean Battery life reduces constantly without use . I decided to buy a new Smartwatch and i couldn’t choose Fitbit or Applewatch! So! After this video i think Fitbit is better for me . I must say, i’m super satisfied with my Fitbit in these 4 years . I would like to have a smartwatch that i can receive Calls and answer on my watch, but it’s not necessary! So i will buy Fitbit again. Thank you very much for the Review. It helped a lot!
2:42 Make sure the exercise autodetect is turned off.
Bruh dont rely on just a watch
i have heartfailure disease after an heart attack, i have an ICD in board my body for in-case-of scenarios , but am wearing an ASUS ZenWatch for keeping track almost 24/7 ( i use 2 of them for bridging charging batteries times ) of my Cardiograms, Blood Pressure samples [mgH/, Oxygen-in-Blood [%], HeartBeatRate per minute [HB/m] with PulseMeter
the Fitbit ionic monitored sleep SpO2 & sleep patterns, but one has to be a sleep for 3 hours. Does the Sense device require a minimum time range to capture the same data? i am senior man & all men have prostate issues, causing numerous trips to the bathroom over night. Even with medication to address the issue, i may go the trip to bathroom every 2 hours.
Have you bought a Fitbit yet
I have a Fitbit myself and whenever I wake up and do something, it essentially cancels my sleep and it won’t count it. It will only count when I fall asleep the second time
Hi I thought about buying an Apple Watch with some money I’ve been saving but now that I look at it Fitbit is the one I bought and it had phone calls
I absolutely love my blue apple watch series 6 it has 32gb if storage and it works flawlessly with my iphone 12 pro max I have Tons of music on my watch alone it's the best
We both rock this boat I upgraded from Samsung to iPhone 12 Pro Max and got a series 6 last week I am only concerned about the battery life that’s why I’m here reading reviews
2:45 damn, where did you get the quick wardrobe change app from?
I’m getting my Fitbit Sense, on Thursday!! So excited!!!
I never liked how the smart watches kinda tried to be an iPhone replacement and the I never loved the short battery life
May I ask, are you using the 40mm or 44mm Apple Watch in this video comparison? Much, Mahalo.
40mm!
Great review as always!! Love your videos!
Lexi to the review again. This gonna be amazing..!!!!
Android: Fitbit
iOS: Apple Watch
I bought the Apple Watch and it’s really good and doing fantastic
I have apple watch series 6, and have the oxygen app working all day and night, watch face = info, oxygen top right, with the breath app in the middle to keep the oxygen app working. Hope it works for you
Hi Lexy, I had considered the Fitbit in the past but I finally decided on the Apple Watch. It will be here (Anaheim) by Friday. I appreciate your review, the comparisons, and the feature descriptions. Good video, thanks :-)
????????? You pay for the watch and still have to pay a 10$ premium a MONTH to properly use it?
That's actually insane.
It's not insane, it just makes no sens... Ooooooohh !!!
You have to pay the cellular carrier not Apple.
@@toby2636 I was talking about the Fitbit “pro“ Service.
Fitbit works perfectly fine without the premium account. So no you don’t need it to properly use the watch.
@@Espere I think you know you can still use the watch with out the premium service.
What size Apple Watch is this?
Do you think these watches would also work if worn on the under side of the arm rather than the top side? Thanks.
Aside from taking off the watch to charge which watch can I wear in the shower and swimming?
Very. Informative comparison. Speaker is excellent. Not to fast.
How’s the heart rate on the sense. Seen so many things online about it being very inaccurate
Nice review for Apple Watch 6 and fitbit Lexy !!!
I'm getting neither of these. I'm getting the Fitbit Versa 3
I know you won’t reply. But how is it?
@@Gjtrhbt Oh, it's an amazing watch, It hasn't broken or anything. I usually reply to comments if I have time.
How’s the hr on the sense? Is it still very inaccurate?
all hail the fitbit sense... I love FITBIT!

trash watch can't even track heart rate properly
Nope
They tied I have a versa 3 Fitbit though but after it stops working I will get a apple watch series 6 or newer
Didn't Google buy Fitbit? I will buy a Fitbit when they integrate with Google Fit, Google Maps, Google Pay, YT Music, etc.
As far as I know the EU is really against it, which is (one of?) the reason(s) why it is not yet a confirmed purchase
@Chelle ohhh whaaaaa? Well that explains why Fitbit is offering a $10/mo membership for more details. Ugh!
I mean my Apple Watch has yt music for some reason not flexing just saying
Honestly, what makes it so hard for Apple to develop a proper sleep tracker that automatically tracks your sleep just like fitbit
The apple watch is miles better lol, btw I found a really good budget smartwatch at watchplaystore, just google them, dual core cpu and a really good screen plus it's on budget :D
so fitbit will not show me blood oxygen saturation on demand per day?
Can anyone tell me what you can’t use on the Fitbit versa 3 if you don’t have premium
I've never had a smart watch. Can you browse web on these things?? No right?
Lexy, is a Sense 2 review coming up? thanks
I would go for the aw because I telly love the ecosystem and it does have the blood oxegyn sensor
was really wanting to buy the fit bit for sleep tracking. but not if its locked behind a pay wall
what alternative are there for a good sleep tracking watch?
Sleep tracking does not require Fitbit premium
Great video! I feel Fitbit does a much better job of displaying your data in neat graphs, but I prefer a more accurate heart rate reading from the Apple Watch.
To go cellular or not?
1 day battery life is a deal breaker on the Apple Watch. It means you'll put it on charge before bed probably, so it won't monitor sleep... The Fitbit OS could do with enhancement though. Ideally with full Android function like Apple Watch does with iPhone
Iv never had a Apple Watch only Fitbit looking into the apple 6 thank u
Can you call and receive calls on wrist with fitbit sense - speaking through the fitbit sense as with samsung galaxy watch?
Nice sound this time. I like your new mic. Good comparation.
Another influence has to be how Fitbit wouldn't acknowledge glass crack issues. I had 2. One they replaced, the other they refused but I hadn't worn the watch! Won't touch them now.
I picked a Series 6 and it’s pretty good, it kinda just works.
Thank you! What a fantastic review-I really appreciate the final thoughts on who would be better off with each model.
How to to edit my Apple Watch if the calories of the fitness is wrong how do I make correction
Getting stressed while taking a stress test is pointless 😂
I don’t see the need for an Apple Watch. I’m already chained to the hip with my iPhone. I like that fit bit even gives you recipes and so on in the premium setup. I LOVE the idea of more detailed sleep analysis. I mean, I pretty much already know how LONG I was asleep - I need to evaluate the addt’l data a Fitbit would provide.
My "best of both worlds" solution for the past 11 months was to wear the Apple watch SE on my left wrist and the Fitbit on my right wrist. If I decide to wear only one of them, then I guess I would choose the Apple.
tell me you are rich without telling me you are rich
I honestly think that the Watch is a lot better even though it only works with the iPhone. You can do a lot with them
can you do a review with samsung galaxy watch 3 vs Apple watch 6
it's obvious: Apple watch is better
@RpM_Evan lies, its not way better. I like the galaxy watch better
@@itremendous YOU might like the galaxy watch better bcuz ofc it looks better but in terms of things that make a SMARTWatch smart , Apple Watch leaves galaxy watch 3 in the dust
@@eobardthawne19 I have had the Apple Watch. The only thing it has is on the Galaxy Watch is more apps- that are not really useful. The Galaxy Watch 3 does everything the Apple Watch can. Thats like saying siri is smarter than Alexa or Google Assistant.

@@jackdominiak445 Yes ikr
@Namir Deshmukh well yes

When the first Apple Watch released, haters were bashing on it with all kind of comments. Well couple of years later it has proven that the Apple Watch is the best selling smartwatch and also the best smartwatch ever. Samsung, Huawei, Moto, and others tried to do the same thing but they all failed to beat Apple. The only exception is the Apple watch is only good for iPhone users, android users won't take advantage of it. Also, the price of the Apple watch is also higher than most smart watches out there.
You get what you pay for my friend, I first tried a cheap $50 keep fit watch by some Chineese manufacturer (never again) can't afford cheap!, then I splashed out on series 3 which scuffed and scratched easily, then a stainless steel series 4 (not a scratch or scuff in 2 years) never looked back since Cellular for $5 a month is a god send and all my playlists are stored directly on it 32gb available I believe....battery is an easy day and a half, and the only reason I'll upgrade is if they come out with a camera for face time....until 4 years ago I was very anti apple, believed in all that freedom and openness, until I realised it was all hype and got an iPhone 7, still got it, however like the idea of night photos & videos, so waiting for my iPhone 12 Pro to arrive and I still sold the 7 for $150 😁. Apple & Android is like Night and day!
@@jackdominiak445 at the end of the day it's all up to you, don't listen to media tell you this and that. Apple know how to optimize their products from airpods to apple watcb, iPhone to iPad. They control their own OS, that's why most android user will never get the experiece of that. I'm upgrading to the pro max, still have to wait until the 6th of November but well it's worth it. People always have doubt and judgement against Apple when it comes to price and what it can offer. If it's aint break and why fix it right? That's why the iPad, iPhone, Apple watch, and airpods are the best selling products in their own categories.
@@LuanNguyen-np5ii You're absolutely spot on! Must admit was a little upset about the better camera's in the Max, even thought about waiting for the 13 pro, the MAX is just simply too big for me, even the Pro is bigger than I would like, in an ideal world I would like a mini to have the Max camera set up, but I'm a realist and know that is unlikely to happen, because of the lack of space. Ultimately I'm not a Pro photographer, so even the Pro has more than I need, I went for the Pro because it looks the business and this year is much better value for money than the 12. Enjoy you Max when you get it....
The early apple watches were terrible and overpriced though, that's why they were disliked. The last couple have been really good.
@@Chooibah Rubbish, my partners son has still got Apple Watch 2 and it works great, obviously not as good as 3,4, 5 & 6, just like the iPhone's 6 to 11 aren't as good as the 12.....doesn't mean they were rubbish, I've still got my 7 and only upgraded to a 12 Pro because I like night photo's, but the iPhone 7 still works great and someone is paying me $150 for it, when I get my 12 Pro in 10 days 😁 Apple all round is just streets ahead!
I prefer Fitbit Sense. Thanks a lot for your great review, Lexy!
