i bought the limitless for the side by battery trays alone.I still had to sacrifice one side because of the length of the 4070 motor.I use velcro to hold my esc's down but i just dont like the way they hold it still comes off.What would you suggest to hold down the xlx2.
Hey Josh, I have watched alot of your videos and recently decided to try some speed runs with my limitless. I just came from a spektrum 160 amp ESC and 1250kv motor, geared 1:1 and got my 1st triple digit run. I bought an XLX2 and a 1721 2400kv motor. It looks like I'm going to have to do the motor reverse like u have done. Also like you...I own a V1. I can't find any info on it anywhere. Everything is about V2. Can you please let me know of any parts or anything I will need before doing the motor mount turn? Thanks for the content and hope to see some new videos soon.

DUDE i need your advice on something!! I have a RADIOLINK 6G and xlx2-1100kv in my 1/5 Kraton but…. I’ve asked EXOCAGED and many other Chanel’s about why my esc/motor won’t just coast and roll when I left off the throttle without glitching or jerking bcs it wants to copy the throttle response too closely. If the truck is rolling at 20mph in neutral and I tap the throttle just a tiny bit, it’ll jerk and slow down dramatically until the motor is spinning at the suggested rpm via throttle input.. I’m not using my aux and it’s not assigned to anything so it’s not drag brake or crawl mode. EXOCAGED said its the xlx2 firmware bcs all of his xlx2 do that too…, man I NEVER heard of that being normal and there’s noooo content that talks about this. I’ll stop talking so you can see what I’m about, the video is my newest upload. Please man if you know what’s going on help me out since we both have the same exact components!! Thanks bro please help me out💪💪🏅

I have almost the same setup our gearing is the same I’m running 9700 SMCs and my suspension is setup a little different if the weather hold up I will do some test in tuning before I push it I’m also building a hobao VT at the same time something I can bash during the winter I took the system out of my V2 infraction and my V2 infraction will be my winter build great video! But I do miss the gin & juice 😂
@@GoKaioken I’m running the stock body I have a slight bulge at my left rear, but you really have to be looking very hard to see it and I have to position the OSE connector in that right spot
@@GoKaioken on the main body toward the front body clip there are two fake carbon fiber vents cut out the one that’s on the side where your ESC is located so your ESC gets air even though castle said this big boy should not need any extra air good luck maybe one day we will run with TH-cam big boy speed runner lol 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️

Hey I got a question for you when you switched the motor to the other side did you switch the differentials in the front and rear to the other side or just reverse motor direction?
Great vid! I know you have a new set up now though. Im setting up the xlx 2 now. I was thinking low power and no punch control. Did you benefit from high power at all?

Installation and fitment the same. I think I would have to gear even taller due to it having more torque but less peak RPM. We’ll have to see how the 1100 does as I gear up.
Awesome setup brother.👍 Damn the spur is millimeters away from the esc! One solution in the future would be to swap the 3.30 Limitless gears to the Infraction V2 diff gears which are 2.80 so you can go faster and not have such massive gears. You are close to 150 anyways though so maybe not necessary. I'm going to put them in my V1 Infraction when I can find some. Your Limitless is going to fly! Are you running it soon?
Yeah if the temps stay up I may run it tomorrow or Saturday. The current 39t spur is the max I would ever put in. I will be reducing the spur as I build up PBs so clearance should improve :)
@@GoKaioken Nice. And remember you can always switch to the 2.80 ratio Infraction V2 front and rear diff gears if you need more gearing later. My Infraction V1 with stock body did 114 and my Felony did a clean 114 and another run it did 119Mph with a crash. I have the Jag 1/7 GT body for both but I'm just trying to see how far I can push the stock body...lol. I have a Limitless also I will run later. I also have my 122Mph Slash 4x4 and I'm almost done my Typhon GT build. I wish I had more time to actually run them rather than time to work on them...lol. Winter is coming fast here and I may only get 1 or 2 days to run this year. My Slash I'm hoping to run this Sunday. I have a TP 4050 motor with 3200kv and 29/34 gears. SO far my best on 34/34 and 2200kv motor is 122Mph. I may be over motored and overgeared now. Even before 34/34 may have been too much.
That’s awesome that you got your slash to those speeds! I had a 2wd bandit/slash build that I got to 95mph. I’ll definitely look into the gears on the infraction for sure!

I got my Tamiya TT02 1/10 touring car to 97Mph...hahaha. i couldn't get it to 100mph...I was so close! If I had a tail wind that might have just got me there. It's on my channel too. Orange GT body on it.

If you don’t need to move it often, thick double sided sticky mounting tape.

That not normal at all, re-calibrate the transmitter and if it’s still an issue, contact Castle customer support.

Try to swap position servo and ESC to balance the weight
You could solve the battery chassis problem with a cabinet liner. Thin layer of cushioning is better than nothing!

You can get by with 5200 but it’s on the lower side. The SMC 6400 are really good.

Are you running a different body or did you lift the stock body? I tried putting my 9700s in there and I didn’t like how they fit.

Hmm..... I think it would be pointless. The XLX2 is a high performing ESC that is best paired with a high performing motor.

Oh dang! I hope Castle helped you out! Mine is okay but I’ve only been able to run it a couple times before the weather got too cold.
