EP 1 Exploring Srinagar | Shikara ride in Dal lake | Wazwan | Nishat Garden | Kashmir Tourism

Srinagar is the largest city of Jammu & Kashmir, Most of the sightseeing locations around kashmir can be accessed from Srinagar. Many tourists travel to different destinations which are at 50 to 80 km distance and come back to Srinagar by night.

In this video, how we explore Srinagar, We started our day from delhi, boarded flight for srinagar, after reaching srinagar, we spent the half our day in srinagar.
This video was shot on 17th April 2023, below are the activities we did throughout the day.
Heemal Hotel - We stayed at Heemal hotel Rs 4000 plus taxes for double occupancy, this hotel is located close to Dal lake.
Shikara Ride in Dal Lake - We took shikara for Rs 770 for an hour.
Kong Posh - JKTDC - We had wazwan - multi course meal of kashmiri cuisine. This restaurant is run by JKTDC, in a House boat structure, near Jhelum river. Food at this restaurant was average, i realised this later when i explored food at other restaurants of Srinagar.
Nishat Garden - It is terraced mughal garden, which has about 12 terrace, very well maintained garden with fountains, flowers, scenic view of Dal lake.

We were in kashmir just 15 days back, stayed in houseboat, visited all these gardens, Nishat, Mughal etc...shikhara ride , floating market, khoob shopping in Meena bazaar, visited char chinar island, had kahwa there n char chinar island is famous for some beautiful Hindi old songs like....Rajesh Khanna n Asha Parekh hit song "achcha tho hum chalte hain"....

Kashmir is really heaven on earth...I was there last month, never get bored of the views its amazing it was my third time only issue I faced this time was the cost which was 10 times higher then 3 years back...its getting too expensive...i got at least 3-4 tourist saying they started looting the tourist..guys you have to bargain a lot ...should visit once in lifetime but beware of the price...we went to ladakh after that...suddenly the things are extreme cheap as compare to Kashmir...

It is amazing experience to stay in Houseboat. I have visited with family in the year 2019 and stayed in Houseboat. Our mobility was never restricted. Boat provided by every houseboat owners and can freely go anywhere. We visited nearby localisation upto 11 pm night and returned easily to houseboat.

Kashmir is so fascinating for all (either Indians or foreigners), everyone wants to visit Kashmir at least once in a lifetime and I am not an exception, I am waiting for the day when I shall visit Kashmir. The Zero Bridge is an old wooden arch bridge located in the city of Srinagar in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It crosses the Jhelum river in a roughly North-South direction connecting Sonwar in the north to Rajbagh in the South.Officially it is said to have been named Zero Bridge since traditionally the Amira Kadal bridge was regarded as the first bridge on the Jhelum as it entered Srinagar and the Zero bridge preceded this 'first' bridge.

Reminded of young days I have spent in their. Just nostalgic. Used to of Dal lake almost every summer evening. Try to go to Dachigam National park and u may need to book ur entry in advance. Also, when u r going to Somamarg, try to visit Mata Kheer Bhawani temple as it is almost on that way with a small diversion.
