- Chandigarh has a lot of things to do for people of all age groups, there is a lot of food to explore in Chandigarh along with nice gardens that you can visit and plan a 2 day stay there.
Chandigarh is a Union Territory (UT) & a joint capital of Haryana & Punjab. In this video, we explored the Tourist places of Chandigarh.

Chandigarh was developed in fifties and since it is capital of Haryana and Punjab you will see the mix of these states in this city.
Sukhna Lake - We started our day in Chandigarh from the Sukhna Lake. A beautiful place for peaceful walking, jogging, watching migratory birds, sun-soaking, and beautiful views, in addition, enjoy boating, and rowing in one place.
Open Hand Monument - We visited the “Open Hand Monument”. It is a symbolic structure designed by the architect Le Corbusier.
It is the symbol of the Government of Chandigarh and symbolises "the hand to give and the hand to take, peace and prosperity
Breakfast - We had our breakfast at “Brother’s Kulcha Hub” Chandigarh Sec 9c. We had Aloo - Methi Kulcha with Chole. It was so crispy & tasty overall we enjoyed our breakfast here.
Breakfast Cost - Aloo - Methi Kulcha - Rs 90
Rose Garden - Then we visited the “Rose Garden” Chandigarh. It is Asia’s largest Rose Garden spread over 30 acers & has 50000 plants representing more than 800 Varieties of Roses.
In the month of February, the Rose Festival is also held here.
Panjab University - Then we visited Panjab University, Chandigarh & spend some time here.
Rock Garden - The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden. It is also known as Nek Chand Saini's Rock Garden.
Nek Chand Saini Ji started building this garden secretly in his spare time. This Garden is completely built from industrial, home waste, and discarded items.
Overall we enjoyed this “Rock garden”.
Rock Garden Tickets - Rs 30 Per Person
Lunch - We had our Lunch at the “Pal Dhabha” in Sec 28 D Chandigarh. We had “Makke ki Roti” & “Sarson Saag” with Lassi in the Lunch.
Lunch Cost - Makki ki Roti - Rs 50
Sarson ka Saag - Rs 270
Lassi - Rs 60
Chandigarh Sec 17 Market - After this, we reached at the Heart of the city - Sec 17 Market, Chandigarh. It is a beautiful market with several big brand stores, international outlets, and eateries.
Neelam Theatre - Then we visited the 70 years old theatre of Chandigarh - “Neelam Theatre”
Indian Coffee House - Then we had Coffee at the more than 50-year-old “Indian Coffee House”.
Coffee - Rs 57
Phulkari Shop - After this, we visited the “Phulkari Shop” in the market & checked some options here.
Indian Air Force Heritage Center - Then we visited the “Indian Air Force Heritage Center”. We were not able to shoot there because videography was not allowed.
Here we learn about the History of the Indian Air Force.
Entry Tickets - Rs 50
Garg Chaat - In the Evening we had “Bhalla Papdi Chaat” & Gol gappe at the “Garg Chaat”.
We enjoyed the taste of Chaat here.

I have lived in Chandigarh in late 80s and early 90s and this city still brings tears of happiness in my eyes.

Your visit has opened my eyes to a whole new side of this city. Thank you for exploring and showcasing Chandigarh as it is, with all its beauty and charm. You've shown me parts of this city that I never took the time to appreciate. It's incredible how much we can miss, even in a place we’ve called home for decades.

शालीमार गार्डन कश्मीर, पहले ही लग रहा था और अपने भी बताया,में जब रोक गार्डन गया था बहुत टाईम हो गया नेक चंद जी वह अपनी ऑफिस में बैठते थे लोगो को मिलते भी थे, पर में गया तब वह वहां मौजूद नहीं थे। तो मिलने का मौका ना मिला👍🏻

Since my growing years and school and college times was lived in this beautiful city.
Now living in another city after retirement but can’t forget the quality life had in city beautiful.
