    Used to drive pushback tugs as well - great job done here; the trick is to steer the tail where you want it, not the nose gear. once you straighten out if the tail is over the centerline, the nose gear will take care of itself.

    You’d think they’d spell check the slogan before plastering it on a plane?

    what does "no tow" mean there?

    • @dougaltolan3017
      @dougaltolan3017 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm guessing that's a jacknife limit warning.
      The towbar must stay out of the red.

      You can push the aircraft back from that connection point, but you cannot pull it.

    • @evanschachle8549
      @evanschachle8549 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It means if the gear has turned into or past that point there could be damage to the internal workings of the gear. You would end up changing or rebuilding a nose landing gear and it’s a lot of $€£¥.

      Turning limit of the nose gear. Has nothing to do with pushing or pulling.

    They always mention how low the engines are...seeing it from the ground...wow, they are almost touching!

      Actually this aircraft is about to depart, it was loaded with passenger and cargo, make the struts compressed and it seems like closer to the ground.

    What would be the consequences of that cable going under the plane front wheels ? Communication system down.... I don't understand why the guy even lets it licking the tyre...

    • @mytmousemalibu
      @mytmousemalibu ปีที่แล้ว

      It would pull the cable down, possibly damaging the plug and his headset cord. Not a real big deal but you don't want to damage the aircraft. Its just a ground communications system, its not going to bother the radio system function. They can mute that system and pull circuit breakers if needed.

    Why’d it say NO TOW?

    • @mytmousemalibu
      @mytmousemalibu ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats the turning limit of the nose gear. If the towbar goes past that point it will damage the gear. Some aircraft have disconnect features that allow for tighter turning, even 360° on some. But for flight operations the gear is connected and you must obey turning limits. Usually its red lines on the gear and or gear doors.
