Being a Crystal Radio enthusiast as well as ham radio and CB operator, I wind alot of coils by hand needed for Inductors, and recently ive been snooping around for a better way, I think i have found it,now to find a crummy old sewing machine motor, off to the five and dime store!!! Awesome video thanks for sharing!🤠👍
great stuff! I am going to do the same kind of a machine. Checked the arduino-based machines and that's lots of work. No time for this. I just need a few coils to be made for a magnetic bearing, doing a high precision 3d printer here. Semi-automatic approach is the best of two worlds, and if you do it with the idea of being upgraded later then it is the ideal solution.
So once you got the first layer why did you start from the left end at same density ? I thought it’s better to take the wire to the right and start coiling again .. for an electromagnet it might be more efficient isn’t it ?
Nice coil winder, think I will be building one for myself, think I've figured a way to move the wire left and right with an auto feed, also adjustable for different thicknesses of wire.
Make it Arduino based. Then you'll get perfect windings. I have done it. I even made 40k rounds high voltage transformer with it with thick plastic insulation between each layer.
Você o projeto da parte mecânica para me enviar ?Estou com dificuldades para desenvolver ,quero fazer uma bobinadeira para enrolar bobina de maquina de solda .
are you interested in bulding one for us . i can let you know details if your interested . we started to build one but just dont have the time as we have numorous projects going on , let me know .
Excellent video very nice setup like to build coil 4 inch diameter with 18G wire 9 to 11 ohm for a levitation project I have build 12 coil for local school, is it possible to receive parts list so I can build one to, Ve6but at shaw.ca Best regards Tosif

Amazing results by hand feeding left to right.Nice neat results.
Sorry How you made it to avoid overlap in same layer... I didnt see any mechanism which moves the wires left or right..

What drives the side to side reel motion?
These wider designs are very interesting. I will use the left to right slider idea.
Well thought out, thank you for your time.

Fantastic production my friend conglatulation for The vídeo!
where do you get big bobbins at?
Super satisfying to watch!
Is there any electric produced from the coil winding process? Do motor coils use or produce more electricy when they get warm?
Very Helpful video!
Like this. Where do you get the blank spools? Have a look at my Solenoid Engine - Motor.
To what end? Solenoids? Electromagnets?
Very nicely done!
Well, what would you do if you have to wind coil with wire 0.1 millimeters of diameter?
Thanks for sharing, nice work. Can you tell me where you sourced the o-ring type belt for sewing machine motor?
Very valuable information. Thanks for uploading but better if the camerawork was more steady. Avoids motion sickness.
am looking for a small machine to put a coil on U shape core what do you think ?
Thats a really nice machine :) What material is the wheel holder made of? (The white plastic)
BACK' OUT MAN!!!!
sir what is the type of mechanism and name of that part which is holding the vice .very simple but effective device.superb.

Nice machine !! What are the coils used for ??
Ingenious thinking on your machine development. You should get a patent! Where do you find your transformer bobbins and laminations?
Make it Arduino based. Then you'll get perfect windings. I have done it. I even made 40k rounds high voltage transformer with it with thick plastic insulation between each layer.

what would you charge to wind me about 16 coils
17awg 2.75" diameter and 1.75" long air core no bobbin?
Do you have part drawings you would like to share?
...now that is NEAT!
Could you not have used a very cheap hall effect sensor and small magnet to count the turns rather than the very annoying mechanical button...
It is like our machine

very nice
Thanks!
Your pulling the wire from the reel in the wrong manner.
Good
Good
Estaría sensacional que un Arduino controlará el enrrollador
Would be very interesting except your tendency to swing the camera off the subject too quickly ruins the learning experience.
wainding Wair splayar cantect
traverse bay hand? are you kidding me?
Can you wind a coil for my e-cig mod? ;)

it'd be nice to get one of these and a mega large spool of vv fine gauge copper wire and start a speaker company...
