10:30 Bring Kryx's Legacy to the Key (Side with Crimson Fleet)
This is the Gameplay Walkthrough of STARFIELD (2023). This Step-by-Step Guide will show you what happens if you Bring Kryx's Legacy to UC Vigilance and what happens if you Bring Kryx's Legacy to the Key.
Mission: Eye of the Storm
Objective: Bring Kryx's Legacy to UC Vigilance (or the Key)
What happens if you side with the Crimson Fleet?
If you decide to side with the Crimson Fleet, you’re going to have to kill Commander Ikande and then take over the Vigilance, the huge UC ship that you’ve been reporting back to. You’ll also have to kill many of the NPCs that you’ve spoken to in the UC. Strangely, for whatever reason, this mass murder of the UC won’t give you any bounty in the UC territories, so you don’t have to worry about that. Your companions however can react negatively to picking this option. For completing this quest, you’ll be given 250,000 credits.
What happens if you side with the United Colonies?
If you choose the United Colonies during The Eye of the Storm mission in Starfield, you’ll basically have to destroy the Crimson Fleet.
You’ll have the option to either kill or imprison the leader, Delgado, and the fleet will be taken over by the UC, with all of the vendors and NPCs in The Key removed. You’ll have to complete a mission where you kill most of the Crimson Fleet, including the NPCs that you’ve spoken to during your time in the preceding missions. Here you can also pick up several of the unique weapons and clothing items that are exclusive to these NPCs. For completing this quest, you’ll be given 250,000 credits.

Can we just talk about how these side quests are pretty much better than the main quests
Yeah they’re fucking way longer!
@@Madxmanix not to mention the choices you make in side quests actually feel like you’re making a choice, more twist and turns, I also love the feeling of having a “side” while you play, such as if you choose to side with the UC they send their ships with you to fight not just you on your own. They seem more thought out and more exciting for some reason. Would love to have more faction based quest that involve you actually using a team up system. More factions would be nice as well, this isn’t just a wasteland, this is more than 20 systems of planets so its very possible.
@@rileysexton3043right i spend an hour if Rokov should stay or out of the crimson
Bethesda has a bit of a reputation of doing that.
I was locked in to this mission lol. When it ended I was like damn what am I supposed to to now, then I remembered I wasn't even halfway through the main story 🤣🤣🤣 Bethesda definitely gets their flowers from me for this quest line. (I was team sysdef btw)
fleet called me rook just one too many times
Fleet jumped me with three-to-one or five-to-one odds one too many times.
When you’ve played the other quests in the game you start to realize just how ungodly corrupt and evil the UC really is. (The scheming admiral for instance) like yeah let’s keep around the guy who was supposed to be executed for war crimes. I sided with the Crimson fleet but got the Commander to stop the self destruct sequence and spared their lives because I still liked them even if the rest of the UC is awful.
Interesting. Siding with the UC, I convinced Delgato to surrender and not blow up The Key. Bssically the end story in both cases is the same. As I progress further, I'm going closer to being mainly Freestar.
The ending had me stressed fighting all those ships and dying over and over😂
I couldn't even count
Sameee dude
The space battle was absolute dogshit. I survived for 30 sec max. And my teammates dont do shit...
For real man.
I had to quicksave each enemy i killed to make sure i didnt have to start over from the ship battle
This was a very difficult decision becasue you spend time with the fleet but then again they constantly treat you like crap soo…
Na verdade a Naeva fala bem de voce para os outros comandantes, ela so tem aquele jeito de durona. E depois dessa missão todos os comandantes respeitam muito voce, alem de ganhar um quarto na chave
Fuck the Fleet. They may have good vendors but Navea and Delgado alone are way more grating than the entire Ryujin exec board
Yeah I was planning on turning on the Crimson Fleet until the UC arrested me and kicked me out. Killed WAYYYYY to many people for his liking 😂
They did it to me too and Sarah was the one who got caught and opened fire 😭
morally you sound more like a pirate so it makes sense. If on the side of "Justice" working undercover for the "police" then yeah, every innocent person you kill obviously is frowned upon.
@@michaelblue4619 potato, potatoh. Lol
This happen to as well I attack commander ikande now I can't get off the planet how do I leave lol
@@FleeceJohnson1337they both give 250k so
I wish there was a way to choose neither and take all the money
Agreed I thought there was a third option
it’s encrypted money goofball they said that in the dialogue
@@perky_poppin if you have uc native trait, theres a dialogue options that mentions that there are other people who can break the encryption which gave me hope that you can take it for yourself.
@@perky_poppinYou must have forgot about the part where gelbank money is encrypted as well. Or the woman that was able to beat the encryption and embedded her own to clean the currency. This could have been an option. But the devs obviously didn’t put this in
@@perky_poppin I know that. Doesn’t mean the developers couldn’t put a third option in there.
SYSDEF told me they were taking me to prison… and I was like “the fuck you are” then I killed everyone on the whole fucking ship
imo , there should be way more differences between the outcomes.
For example
- if we were to side with CF , we should be awarded with WAY more credits, because.. you know, pirates
- if we got kicked out by sysdef , there should be an option to remind the commander that he did this to himself , and give us an option to the right thing at the end
I think I’ll end up with the fleet, I would hate to not be able to return to the Key , the UC had nothing
After Naeave brought me on her ship I killed the whole crimson fleet but now I realized I need to finish Delgado missions
🤣🤣
If you side with The Fleet Ikande just sounds disappointed in you, but if you side with SysDef Delgado really sounds like he feels betrayed, somewhat hurt
Good, he treated us like shit, rook this rook that. Fuck the pirates😂
Yeah buddy was super hurt lol
Naeva missing is the wildcard.....I bet she'll be apart of some DLC...no matter who you pick....
Who should we help?
I seriously wanted Lt Toft to be romanceable
UC all the way... cleaning the Red filth from the verse was glorious 🙌
Naeva is STILL out there..... remember that lol
Delgado and Navea can talk big about Fleet family and shit but these guys actually did find a little orphan stranded on the wilderness side of a planet and decided to trick and rob her shit (Sona).
Same here
… am I the only one here who didn’t get arrested by the UC SysDef in order to start this questline?
Shoot a civilian in the face run away talk to a cop and start the story line lol I did it by accident. I just don’t know which side to go with as I’m at the end of the story line. Also I don’t have any upgrades to my ship.
@@_camy_ I just went to Commander Tuala after completing The Old Neighborhood and started Grunt Work, completed it, then started this questline. I don’t know why your guys’ first instinct is to kill civilians.
@@brawler5760 Me too. So far i have seen a lot of videos saying that you can only get these sidequest if you get arrested. But i only talked to commander tuala at the beggining of thr game
I got caught with contraband
@TheOficialJared I was ganna say the sane thing too lol
Love how he skips over the only difficult part of this quest
Okay i rejected the UC when i got arrested because i thought i was getting set up. But im doing a good play through this time around. So can i still hand this over to the UC after meeting the crimson fleet or not?
I played it cool with SysDef all up until the end because they threatened prison or go along with this mission.
Same, i snitched and chose crimson bros at the end 😂
How did you escape alive? Isnt your ship destroyed as soon as you UnDock?
@@SW-fk3rb not that I recall, you disarmed the self destruct command?
In my first universe they captured me and forced me to choose sides (Skyrim/Oblivion style Todd's prisoner fetish) i was able to scape but you beed to have decent shields and as soon you leave the lv 100 capital ship power the grav and jump from the menu while dodging shots, but if you have a decent beam weapons you can destroy several ships before jumping
I feel much better jin Crmson fleet ending than the UC ending.
'
4k range weapons are broken strong in the game ray/beam weapons that have 4k range aka(3500+) are your best friends for taking on the fleet as if they were nothing just put attention when a ship is in range youll deal massive dmg even before they have a chance to shoot back there are even exploits using these in combination with the booster skill
For anyone wondering the correct choice from a gameplay perspective is to side with the Fleet. You get a companion out of it. You should know who if you played it. He might be the only one other than Adoring Fan who will do bad stuff with you.
i just completed this mission, i didn’t get a companion am i doing smth wrong?
@@complacentnonsense3460mathius
@@complacentnonsense3460if you nuked his chances of joining the Fleet in the first mission, he won't join you, obviously.
@Warchoon oh damn NM I was planning to do this but now you said that I'll probably do side with the fleet in NG+
Lmfaoo u prolly right
can you visit commander ikande after you arrest him with the crimson fleet? i want the key to the captains locker.
I think you can he's in a cell on the key I think
Is it possible to capture/own the vigilance if you stop the self destruct?
You capture it and can go back to it but you never own it personally
both factions annoyed tf outta me i wish there was a third to take it all for myself
I sided with Crimson Fleet since Ikande yell at me everytime things get violent
I sided with the UC. My character is basically "choatic good" in D&D terms. The Crimson Fleet preyed on & murdered innocent families.
Also they plan to return the creds to the Freestar Collective and anything that improves UC/Freestar relation is good for me
Is the a way not to have to kill everyone on the key though?
My question is, the Burden of Proof mission set, what happens to delivering the last one found on the Legacy? Can you still deliver it to Toft? Or does that mission get removed?
before you do the eyes of storm mission..make sure you give all other proof evidence, then you get what u want by doing the burden of proof..tho i read someone saying the more the evidence given to Toft..the more harder the defend of system if you side with CF..
Will joining the crimson fleet affect if I’m able to go in Atlantis and tha sort of stuff?
no they don’t care
Serious help needed! I have two saves, one for each decision of siding with UC or Fleet. This is my FIRST play through. Which side do i go? My character is pretty straight but i enjoy the pirates and would like Mattias ? (The bearded pirate) On the crew . BUT i feel that i will miss a lot in the game if everywhere i go the fleet pirates do not fight etc etc. Decisions decisions ?
I honestly saved this faction quest as the final one. Honestly even with my character being a good guy, I'd side with the Crimson Fleet. The Key is a good hub and Matthais is literally the only evil companion in the game and he grew on me. The Vigilance is not even half as good as The Key. Saving this for last will also not interfere with other questlines. I'd also like to add that the Crimson Fleet Mission Board is way better than the UC Def Board. It is the only board where you can be evil with. Voiding the UC Def board isn't that big of a punishment when we already have the Bounty Boards to hunt Pirates and The Freestar Collective Rangers have a Board too.
Why go against the one faction that lets you do you, especially when the other side kidnapped and blackmailed you.
Because the other side never kidnapped or blackmailed me, and my character hates pirates of any kind.
I don't think you know what blackmail means
Idk for me I joined the sysdef in a different way without blackmail and the ppl at the crimson fleet are so unlikeable so I plan to side with the uc
I don’t think half of you realize this quest gets force started by being caught stealing.
@@XUM4N And it sounds like you don’t realize that you can just start it by talking to Commander Tuala after finishing The Old Neighborhood and finishing Grunt Work
when i went to sysdef during the eye of the storm mission i was taken off the job and arrested and told never to return to the ship for a civilian murder on Neon which i honestly did not do so i chose the fleet because i no longer had a choice
I had the same thing happen right after the Generdyne mission, because I shot a trash robot. I reloaded then everything was fine even with the false evidence of murder.
If I choose Delgado side, can I still kill pirates in empty outposts inside planets or if I did it I need to pay to crimson fleet because of the rule "CREDITS OR BLOOD"?
I just hopped off for the time being. That space battle wore me out. The Frontier is a very sluggish ship, and at level 14 or 15 with basically no ship skill upgrades...yeesh. I found a strat though. Not entirely consistent. And kind of stupid. I didn't allocate any power to shields, I put it all on engine and weapons. I'd go right for the batteries, then zoom off away from the combat, let my boost recharge, then pick a ship and make a pass, repair if needed, recharge and repeat.
Just get mantis
Just take the Razorleaf, it’s a straight upgrade from the Frontier.
I upgraded frontier on mars
@brawler5760 nah I've just been upgrading my Frontier
I (finally!!!) took on this mission at about level 110(!?!), I'm one of those persons who just 'adventures' and doesn't worry about the Main Questline... I loved this story (took UC side) but, yeah, you should get WAY-Y-Y more credits; that ship easily had in the hundreds of millions or more!! The great thing is, Bethesda's multiple endings give a chance for a resurrection of The Fleet, or at least Delgado's escape; Starfield needs a lot more of Delgado!!
I honestly saved this faction quest as the final one. Honestly even with my character being a good guy, I'd side with the Crimson Fleet. The Key is a good hub and Matthais is literally the only evil companion in the game and he grew on me. The Vigilance is not even half as good as The Key. It is the only board where you can be evil with. Voiding the UC Def board isn't that big of a punishment when we already have the Bounty Boards to hunt Pirates and The Freestar Collective Rangers have a Board too. I got kicked out of UC Def for fighting back on Neon. My stealth was bad lmao
I’m stuck at “look for evidence” because I’m not getting any more missions form either side and idk what to do
If I side with the fleet is everything just going to be easy? No one to fight anymore?
Sort of but there are still spacers / ecliptic/ va ruun
Do CF ships still spawn in the Kryx System after you side with Sysdef?
Gulp… that sure didn’t feel great . It was a great side quest but I hated having to betray one side after have worked with them
I just made a save before making the choice and did both endings
There should be a launch it into a sun and nobody gets it option.
Man I think this part is glitch because it’s like the ship I got can’t stand a hit
You need shield
Wonder if you can take the UC Vigilance for yourself🤔
That's what I'm trying to find out
Can u ?
Hahah I tried today but it’s a whole lot of bodies in there especially with difficulty on hard
@@KinghtsOfMoonShine naw u can't sorry bro
Nope spoiler
The fleet takes it over
They arrested me so i killed everyone on the uc vigilance
Dammit!! I’m level 9 and got thrown into this after stealing some ammo in Neon and dunno what to do 🤦🏻♀️
Don't do the mission
Nothing. Just go somewhere else and come back later.
I got thrown there because the moment I arrived on New Atlantis I hit the spaceship repairman over the head with an axe for no reason but to be a goofy goober
Do we get to kill Naeva or find were she is at ?
I’m stuck on the legacy my ship blows up every time I undock from the lighting and I have no ship parts
If I do the uc missions with the Zeno morphs will it effect this mission?
Terrormorphs bro?...😂
No, it's practically the correct way to get this missions, if you don't wanna get arrested and lose standing with the UC then finish the xenomorph missions and they will eventually send you to commander Ikade...also I don't understand the love for the pirates in the comments here lol, it's basically the open season option from nuka world.
Y’all have any tips for beating the last ship battle against the crimson fleet I have the razor leaf ship from the mantis quest but I can not bet past it
I barely stood a chance with an ecliptic claymore and it's a class C. You could try upgrading your ship but it will still be very difficult. I was able to cheese it by hiding near the key station and letting my auto turrets pick off stragglers that flew past. Stock up on repair parts too.
One thing I did was to constantly hit and run. Destroy a ship, run. Destroy a ship, run. Sometimes stragglers follow you, which makes them easy to pick off.
Upgrade with long range weapons and ship parts, I waited till I was level 30 to start this quests so I was flying the Mantis class C destroyer with a bunch of weapons and all the good stuff from the vanguard so it was really easy even on hard difficulty....other wise go to the game setting and lower the difficulty to very easy cuz If your ship isn't strong enough it will die to the energy turrets you have to kill and the lots of ships during the final push.
I wish there was an option to keep all the credits for yourself.
At first, I was fully on with helping UC but after my war crimes on Neon cuz Sam got spotted they locked me like a other pawn after all the help I gave them so I killed the shhht outta the sisdef
Might b a lot more fun to b a pirate but in the end. So many of them to kill if u side with the UC
Was hoping they'd atleast stop calling us "Rook".
I’ll never join the crimson fleet. Naev is too damn annoying! You literally bring the fleet back to life and she’s still too busy patting herself on the back to give any respect.
where is the UC vigilance ? i cant find it around Phobos in the SOL system
I heard after finishing the quest they will stay on Key for while check there (KRYX system)
What happens if you don't chose either side at the end? What if you keep the galbank transfer modules? 😬😬😬
If i side with the fleet, (which i’d prefer) can i still have access to the UC side quests?
That’s what I wanna know
Yes the don't care you'll only be losing the sysdef mission board but you'll have the fleets mission board.
I’m still struggling to decide who i should side with
Lemme put it this way, you can be a cringe snitch, or a giga based bona-fide Jack-A-Bones.
@@dutchvanderlinde248 you get a ton of money if you betray delgado but i spared him and shinya idk abt naeva but i had to kill matis and jaz i wish i saved before choosing tho ill try to be with them on my next playthrough
Initially I was gonna side with crimson fleet buut. Look, I literally did everything for that rag tag group and all along the whole way, was talked to like shit and still called a rook up to the end. Screw that, I got so much satisfaction wiping them all out. Me comes first, not the fleet, and who's the rook now?

Of course UC SysDef. Crimson fleet is just a bunch of maniacs, pirates and some sort of shit from all the settled systems
I got fired so I had to side with the pirates
How much for either side?
The quest reward is always 250k and whatever reward is associated with each side
I have come to realize most of y’all are space psychos instead of space psycho killers
I mean I guess that’s what happens when you allow players to join the bad guy factions.
Interesting , Thank You . I just have to get off the ship
I have a problem. I have the Kryx Legacy and I am presented with only ONE choice, return to the Key and give it to Delgado. Sorry not going to do that. I have no option to give it to SysDef. (Ok, so UC tried to arrest me and send me to prision for killing too many civilians) I am presently neutral toward UC and Crimson Fleet, with no bounty on me. There should be a third option. No one knows what happened on the Legacy. I could lie and say the Legacy was already destroyed when I got there. That leaves me to decrypt the Legacy data file and keep all the loot for myself. But as it is, Eye of the Storm quest ends uncompleted, as there is no way to resolve this.
Me too. Came in to the final ship battle, killed a couple of crimson ships and the uc was still after me. No way to side with them, only option is rejoin the fleet. So I jumped out into another mission and am trying to see what happens if I just run around with all the cash...lol
Idk what to do lol if you betray the crimson fleet you kill jazz i guess? And maybe naeva comes back later as a boss? Like whats the downside of betraying uc?
They kicked me out cause i dropped my controller and killed a guy so now I’m just gonna betray crimson fleet and keep the money for myself
You can't keep the money it's locked in a hard drive
Also there is no downside except no honor I guess. You become a criminal rather than have minimal is the best way to put it. The fleet is a much better option but if you want to play the honorable type go sysdef
Dose siding with the crimson fleet affect your standing with the free star collective if you haven’t interacted with them yet?
no, but once in the fleet you stay in the fleet

I sided with scribe haylen.....I mean Lt Toft on my first playthrough.
I sided with the fleet I wanted money instead of justice which is how I play Bethesda games also the outfits are badass
You get more money by siding with the UC and turning in all the evidence against the Fleet plus an Epic pistol
Will no longer be playing this game due to the amount of bugs in this quest. Lost 12hrs or game time to the bugs in this side quest. I have just wanted to be done with this quest line to enjoy the game and I can’t even do that now. Can’t believe this hasn’t been addressed yet seeing the amount of other people who have had the same issues.
Am i the only one here who sided with SysDef? I cant find a single person in this comment section who did.
No u r not
Here
Today I went back and did this quest again after going through the unity 6 times and leveling up my melee, boxing, and neurostrikes. I sided with sysdef as I always do and proceeded to wipe my ass with the crimson chins using only a wakashi, with the exception of Delgado, I saved him to the end so he could watch me massacre everyone and then pushed his face in with my fists for 10 minutes straight. To sum it up no you’re not alone a lot of people hate the crimson tampons especially bc of Naeva.

I managed to do it after I found out that I was able to leave the mission at a specific time and I went to purchase few ship parts. I have shields, I was using the razorleaf with the best shields that I could install on that. Fighting at long range helped quite a bit.

The quest reward is the same for both factions, but if you side with the Fleet, the Key will still be there for you to offload any kind of contraband easily and install shielded cargo. It's not the only place to do that (Red Mile is another choice), but it's an easier one to get, as the Key has several vendors located in one place with separate pool of cash, and no scans on approach.

No offense, but if you lack restraint and can't play stealth, YOU WILL end up with the CF by force. I was not going to prison and losing all the cool shit I found and looted. So I had to kill them all except for Ikande and his No. 2. I thought it was a good cinematic end. And it worked out best. The UC don't have a hub world where you can upgrade your ship or sell/buy shit.

You do to get an evil companion from this quest line, don’t you remember?
Meh, I despised both sides. Only got stuck in that damned quest line because on my NG+ beginning for some reason UC made me a criminal and kept blowing up my shiny new Guardian ship when I tried to land in Atlantis for the Sarah artifacts stash. Bastards ALL Of them. And in the end all the crap you got and credits doesn't matter because you lose it all going into Unity to level up your star born powers. MAYBE if you have a herdling mentality you do the quest line after you're leveled to max NG++++ but I'm not a people person and their isn't a herd, real or virtual I want to join personally.

I love how whenever you try to leave the Legacy your ship just blows up, and you can't repair it or jump anywhere fuck this mission
I'll never be a sysdef snitch. Fleet before friends, fleet before family, fleet before yourself!
How did you complete the final space battle?! I’m lvl 20 with a razor leaf I chose to side with the pirates
I completed it with the starter ship wit no mods, you have to make evasive movements around the station
I destroyed everything with RazorLeaf. The only thing I changed was the engine to Class C and swap the shields and weapons. Now it’s unrecognizable today lol.
it's been a few days so idk if you've done it yet, but there's a blind spot behind the vigilance's engines where it's weapons can't shoot you. I had like 30 repair kits so it was still doable, but definitely easier that way
Bro that shit was hard asf hahaha all I did was divert power away from the engine to where I only had 1-2 bars and the rest of the power I put it toward the weapons, then lock on to the closest pirate ship I think this causes the AI to stop shooting your ship to much
The only thing that sucks is I competed this whole mission but missed evidence now I still have the burden of evidence mission and I’m not to sure how I’m going to go back and search for all the evidence I may have missed
