Alec is beating himself up because he feels like he should have known that Valentine wasn't Valentine. And he is beating himself up because Magnus is hurting and he can't stand that. Yes Valentine/Magnus told Alce that he was actually Magnus. I understand why Alec was reluctant to believe him. He watched what Valentines lies did to his brother and clary. And when Alec realized that Valentine was indeed Magnus that crushed him so much. 💔😥😭
I know. In the books, he also said that he was in love with Clary and said that in old days, brothers would marry their sisters to keep the royalty line strong. But even when jace and clary were "brother and sister" I still shipped it
So glad Alec didn't just blindly trust Sebastian the way the rest of them did! After all they've been thru you'd think Clary and rest of them would be more careful about trusting new people so easily after Hodge, after Iris lied to them, Valentine lied, even Victor Aldertree. They should stop trusting random folk that just show up and know too much.
I'd never tell anyone what to ship but their actually siblings, that's disgusting! I still shipped clace in the books when I thought they have were siblings but someone spoiled me so I knew they weren't really but whatever, the fact ppl would ship Clary/Jonathan when their siblings really bothers tbh like why??? He tried to rape her in the books!!

I love clalec as a brotp but Alec is gay and married to magnus, they would've never happened, they never did in the books sne never would have on the show, I love their relationship but I'd never ship them romantically because he's gau, married & completely in love with magnus.
