Without Tyson most Wilkes County residents wouldn’t be able to afford to go to the race. I’m a proud team member of Tyson in Wilkesboro, NC. Most every major corp has left Wilkes County but Tyson has remained. Great video Eric.
Wilkesboro is my hometown, I remember working at Tyson when it was Holly Farms. So happy to see the track back, I live in Virginia now, wish I could have been there!
I truly appreciate this. As someone who grew up 20 min from the track and couldn't be there in person, this makes me feel like I didn't miss a thing. Great work, as always!
Aside from my deep personal connection to this track, this was by far the best time I've ever had at a NASCAR race. Hopefully they fix the cars or race format for this year because every race there so far minus the Cup guys has been great.
It seems nobody's talking about the fact that the back half of the field that brings a good portion of late race cautions was not on the track. Also cut the lap cars in half which is always touch and go for the leader.
Thanks for the video, Eric! I was there for every event all week and can say, the overall experience was worth every dime!! I live twenty minutes from the track and have been involved with the revival effort the last 12 months or so. I do hope everyone had a good time and that there is enough community support in the future. Sorry I missed you during your visit and meet and greet.
I can't believe that the most astonishing thing to me about this is the concession prices! I went to an NHL game in Seattle where the "beer of the day" was $10, and all the rest were $16+! Considering the high ticket price of this event, I'm surprised they didn't extend the gouging to the snacks and drinks.
@Eric Estepp. I grew up going to that track with my dad. I cannot express what I am feeling that it is back. Just hope NASCAR continues bringing it back. It should have at least one date. I am just heartbroken I was not able to attend but I am glad you were able to get to a track I grew up going to as a kid. I am just sorry the racing was terrible.
Another great episode Eric! That looked amazing and it looked like you were having blast @ North Wilkesboro Speedway. With Kyle Larson winning BOTH the Craftsman Truck Series race as a fill-in for Alex Bowman driving a Spire Motorsports truck , the Allstar race shows that he's a once in a generation driver who can win in anything he drives. Can't wait to see him @ The Indianapolis 500 in 2024
You definitely can't compare crowds in seats from a big track like Texas or Charlotte to a small track like North Wilksboro at all! They should include the fan experience! Of course you can put more seats at a big track but look what that did to NASCAR!
My buddy and I sat in the same section but I was row 19! I am surprised we never saw you. I thought it was a great experience, although the cup racing left a lot to be desired.
Did you only go for Sunday? You missed several days of great events. You are right about "Row negative 1", I had seats across from the crossover gate by the flagstand, not good. Spent time on the slope under the spotter stand or up in AA or BB under the TV cameras for a better view. Other than some fresh paint and lights, new metal Junior Johnson grandstand in Turn 3 (the original one in '96 was wood), the SAFER barriers, and an annoying DJ, it felt about the same. You forgot to mention the "American Titties" at the Dierks Bentley concert!
Wonder if all the people criticising GM for taking a federal bailout are also upset that $17 million in federal money went to pay for a billionaire to make more money?
For you I'm sure it was "welcome to", as I doubt you are old enough to have gone there when it was open. That IS the original ticket office by the way, and Tyson has a plant in town. Ever wonder why it smells like fried chicken there? At least you picked a good event to go to, even if you don't know much.
Kyle Larson's win is self demonstration of his raw monster talent

Truly brought tears to my eyes. NWB belongs back on the Nascar schedule, especially Cup.
Truck Win, Xfinity Win and Cup Win in basically the same week 💪 he is the MAN!!!!!
Nascar always comes full circle
Good job Eric. Now if we can somehow get Rockingham back up and running.
Glad the weather worked out.

No way! Did NASCAR race at North Wilkesboro? I didn't know, considering it's only been mentioned 500,000 times by 100,000 channels in the past week!
11:52 Look how the man and lady standing next to each other with their shades on looking at you. 😂
This was better than the race. I have some vintage original Winston Cup things from early/mid 80's. I am glad N Wilksboro is back though.
Another great job, Eric. I enjoyed watching that.

Love these vlog track experience videos! Gives someone like me a perspective of what it's like
11:49 that is the kinda nervous laugh of "please don't, we won't be surprised if you do try a short track plate race though"
Kyle larson is one of the greatest drivers we've ever seen congrats and can't wait to see the playoffs this year.
For old Nascar fan like myself who remembers the last right there. Brings a tear to my eye and a smile on my face to see cars there again.
Benny Parsons’s wife Terry was a big big part of getting North Wilkesboro speedway re-open but you never mention her
She put in like 15 years of work and was part of the late models running NWS in 2010-2012

See this is why dale Jr should be the nascar spokesperson or president he gets what the fans want to see old and new ones
Ive got a Winston shirt from 1991 with Hendrics tag. I dont fit in it. Yet
I saw you at the truck race!!

I was at the All Star Race this weekend. I was in the Junior Johnson grandstands.
Looked like a fun environment. All the racing over the weekend, with the exception of cup, was phenomenal.
I came from Portland Oregon and sat just to your right over in Turn 2 section NN and had a blast!!!
Amazing view of the racetrack and lots of other nice stuff at North Wilkesboro! 👍
Bruh Eric we got the same hat!😂
My buddy and I sat in the same section but I was row 19! I am surprised we never saw you. I thought it was a great experience, although the cup racing left a lot to be desired.
Yay! Another vlog!
Great video Eric!
Ohhh the video we’ve all been waiting for!
Keep bringing them I miss theses long ones
The open has been the race to watch on this weekend for like the last 5 years.
I was very happy to meet one of my favorite TH-camrs here
Really have loved this series you’ve put together. The regular content is great but this detour has been awesome to watch. Thanks E!
Thanks for all the videos lately of your trip! This wraps it up perfectly!
I was there, Came down from New Hampshire and I have watched you since I was 5 and you walked by me 3 times!!!! And I missed you, I’m an idiot
Nice vid Eric .. True Nascar fans love tracks like that, Every body is family there.
Alex Bowman is back.
Sweet
thanks for the tour !
I’ve never seen an in person perspective of a race I have watched. It is strange and I love it 😂
Awesome seats
Another great video! Thanks for the tour! So jealous you got to be there 🤪
Come to the Winston Cup Museum and top off the night at Bowman Gray Stadium.
This is Awesome Eric!!!! Thanks so much for doing this! I wanted to be there but couldn't go!
I can’t think of any other motorsport series that has gone this far to bring an abandoned race track back from the dead.
Great coverage!
You’ve done an outstanding job with your reporting’
McDowell lived for that moment. A C list driver in a C list moment

Can you please do more videos like this when you go to the racetracks really do enjoy these type of videos
I record them, then check in day after to see who won. Haven’t watched but one race this year
Did they not let people bring their own small coolers this weekend or is it more of a if ya know ya know kind of deal?
Enjoyed!!! 🏁🏁
Hope you can visit Hendrick Motorsports and the Hall of Fame and do videos when your there be great
The ending 😂
Loving the moonshine and motorsports series! Is this the final stop?
What about bowman coming back for the 600!?!?!?
Wish I could have been there

Alex bowman is back
They didn’t sell the original North Wilkesboro hot dogs. I guess most of the ladies that fixed the chili and slaw are no longer with us.
I wonder if NASCAR could redesign more the race tracks to make it more Fun?!
Hey Eric are you going to be at the coke 600
Are you going to the Chicago Street course
Where can I buy the America and Titties shirt
Wonder if all the people criticising GM for taking a federal bailout are also upset that $17 million in federal money went to pay for a billionaire to make more money?
I saw you there

Eric. How tall are you. You seem to tower over everything
Are you going to the 600 this week??
It was ridiculous! That so called race was Boring as hell and didn't deserve the hype!
no one is talking about the only employee that they had here what happend to him
I was next to you in section HH
Wow
6 mins ago this was posted
Should have ended the video with Larson burn out
The nostalgia factor was high but the quality of the race was low.
Track is cool, but the race sucked!
This "ALL STAR" race was one of the most boring races in recent memory
Is NASCAR trying to be the cure for insomnia 🤔
Looked like every short track race from the 80s and 90s which everybody says they want back
You mean the taxpayers brought it back
first
Kyle l. Better thank you can't win if you don't cheater😅
Big nascar fan from the UK , thank you for this , almost like being there
Good job 👍
