is nobody gonna talk about how eric has the coolest dad ever? his dad goes to a nascar race with his son & helping out with his youtube video. the man deserves some credit.
I hope all the folks complaining about the race being cut short watch this video to see how hard it was raining and the thousands of fans pouring out the exits before it was officially declared over. Thank you Eric for your dedication to the channel recording your day at the track to make a great video.
@@dirtracejunkies5957 Boo hoo hoo. Winners keep on winning and whiners always make up reasons to whine. At the championship deciding race last year, NASCAR made Elliott start dead last, while the other 3 contenders all started right at the front of the grid on a track that is historically very hard to pass. Is that how you do the "poster boy" favors? Why would they put him at a significant disadvantage in the title race, then help him win a regular season race? Get your crying towel ready, he's going to dominate and win today at Sonoma.
@@dirtracejunkies5957 My point was if he's NASCAR's Golden Boy, getting special treatment, his car would NEVER fail an inspection whether it was legal or not. The fact that it did, at such a critical moment, proves the #9 team has to earn their success fair and square.
@@dirtracejunkies5957 "Get your crying towel ready" is pretty mild. I wouldn't hesitate to say it to your face if we ever met. Way to immediately resort to childish name-calling. You must think it makes you look super classy.
Was awesome meeting you! Also got to meet Darian and Jaret, along with some personal friends of mine, Benjamin Fanning and Meme-Lord What In Carnation. All in all, had a blast.
I hope to see you in NASHVILLE on Father's day! It's my gift to myself for dads day. You seem like an awesome person to be at an event around. Youre show has been a huge part of my experience with Nascars "bestbseason ever " .i found show in december. As a Hendrick motorsports fan this years been great.
As a road coarse fanatic, the tarp on the bridge is less for sponsorship and more to make sure they reduce gapers standing on the bridge and creating a traffic jam.
I like what Jeff Gluck was saying there. I hope we come back to Austin next year. It would be nuts to see some of the cars roaring their engines and doing burnouts on Dirty Sixth downtown as a promotion.
Eric, I really enjoy your channel. I am an Indycar diehard, but your journalistic talent pulls me in. You absolutely crush the Indycar TH-camrs. Keep it coming.
I was in Turn 1. $70 for general admission to still see the entire caracul, 19 and 20, pit stops, and watch them race up to and through turn 1 and down to 2 is probably be best value you can get in all of NASCAR. Please bring COTA back!
Overall, awesome experience you had at COTA! Lots of cool stuff to take pictures and the merchandise section is probably the best part of going to a racetrack because I can buy lots of cool diecast along with some hats or clothes! The racing has been pretty good even though it was pretty rainy.
Living in Houston makes me feel left out on having friends that follow NASCAR. I always go to the races by myself and it looks like you guys had a ton of fun. Looks like I'm going to have to try to find some friends to try to go!
8:15 they have one of those kiddie nascar merry-go-rounds at my local fair and the amount of times I've debated riding it despite being a teenager is far too many to count😅
I was at turn 15, definitely very wet but super fun. I went to the one at TMS in October when it rained, then it rained here so I'm really praying that it DOES NOT rain at the all stars in a few weeks lol.
Great presentation of the fan experience, Eric! You sat in the right place to see the most passing, into turn 12. I don't like the slow, flat turns 13 and 14. I keep wishing they would redesign COTA to just put a fast chicane before the quad-apex 15, 16, 17, and 18 and eliminate those slow and boring tire grinders. But now, everybody be honest: When the race cars come by on the pace lap, how many of you say to yourselves "I could beat those guys."
You are doing a great job with your channel Eric, There's times where I disagree with your perspective but I overall enjoy your videos and think you do great work sir, Looks like your having fun getting to attend some races
Is that your dad with you? If so that's an awesome experience i never got to see a race live with my dad before he passed away. Im sure you already know but cherish those moments bud!! Loved the vlog btw
Eric... I was there over at the start and finish line. Yes a good call to end the race. I really was looking for you. I would like to meet you. A comment from you would b awesome.. Keep up the great work. Ed in Austin
Visibility looked good enough to run the final 14 laps while they were spread out or at least waited until the pit cycle was finished... oh wait I forgot nascar has never waited for everyone to pit before throughing a caution before my bad
1:31 _“You can’t bring umbrellas in...”_
*It is at this moment before vast unfortunate moist experience occurs.*
Like bruh it kinda stupid to not bring umbrellas when you know the weather today it will be raining.
It's these kind of stupid rules that makes me question these tracks lol
@@baconhairunique6787 temperature will be raining....
@@MyNameIsJC_ I fixed it
I was really annoyed with how picky the venue was with what you can and cannot bring.

We all are just happy to finally feel tall once again.
I don't have to watch these to feel tall
Yes

Everytime James Davidson came into turn 12, we all cheered him on like he was winning! Godspeed James Davidson, you were turn 12’s winner Sunday!
As well in turn 15. We all cheered for him
I was here. This is 100% true.
2:05 I like Jesus' whip. He's just flexing at this point.
that took me a sec but good one lol
watching eric talk to cardboard cutout of drivers has made my life complete
0:03-0:05 When Eric tries to become the Joker.
9:25 best spotter stand
Sat in turn 1, one of the best parts of the race for me was under caution when Ricky Stenhouse was giving us a show by launching his car off the curb.
Was awesome meeting you! Also got to meet Darian and Jaret, along with some personal friends of mine, Benjamin Fanning and Meme-Lord What In Carnation. All in all, had a blast.

Martin Truex Jr. and Cole Custer’s horrific crash
IT’S COME!
THIS SERIES IS BACK YAY
Thanks for sharing your experience. that was pretty cool. If nascar comes back I hope to go. Plus, good on you for spending time with your father!
Rain or shine looks like a ball!!! I tell my friend's there's NOTHING LIKE A NASCAR weekend!!!
My Wet and Wild Experience. Woah Eric 😳

0:00 epic start
Love the views! Wish FS1 had some of those shots during the race
I was at this race live!
In turn 15, so, I just missed Truex's wreck
Thanks for sharing going to the race! I enjoyed this video! Love out of the grove!
2:10 I always thought Jesus was a Honda guy, but now we see why he doesn't speak of his own Accord.

I been waiting for days for this
So have I!
All of us have!
I remember when each HMS driver had multiple merch haulers each
I watched this race in turn 1 stands
8:08
I wonder if NASCAR will eventually race in those. Lol
I love these nascar vlogs, makes me feel like I am at a Nascar event again
The laugh at the beginning 😂
Last NASCAR race I went to almost every driver it seemed like had their own hauler. That was 2008 at Talladega though. I'm sure alot has changed
These race vlogs are the best
Outstanding - your BEST video by far! Great job on showing what it’s like at a NASCAR event.
i love the bill/Chase Elliott champions shirt
I went too! Awesome experience!

Even though it get called early that was an awesome race and NASCAR needs to come back to this place. I want to go to COTA for F1.
So beautiful to see smiling faces unmuzzled
I sat in turn one and was there all weekend.....Kyle larson got jacked had the best car all day.
Thankyou for the video! I won tickets to turn 12 and have had mixed feelings about not being in the grandstands. I'm looking forward to turn 12 now.
Eric, glad you got to sit near the Nascar Dippin' Sauce Tunnel turn.
I am lucky to have gone to a Cup race. I went to Pocono in 2013 and 2014.
This was exciting to watch as a fan .the whole weekend was great to watch.
Congrats to all the winners

I was at the Cup race!
Same lola
Awesome !
Looks like you had a lot of fun filming this, thanks for the thorough tour!
It was Cashless when I went to Darlington 3 weeks ago
AMAZING ERIC THIS IS CRAZY
There’s just something about seeing the cars in person going that fast.
The sound of the cars downshifting into the braking zone is music to my ears.
I saw a lot of this on tv. I woke up just in time to see it.
Looks like a great place. Very cool on TV! Damn that ☔️ though…bummer.
Great vlog!! I really enjoyed it!

Very good day for Kyle Busch, surprised to see that in a road course/rain race
I hope you were cheering for James Davidson when he went by
Hey you know the Bristol All Star race was amazing. I was there buddy!
Eric, for a no rain road course experience, come out to Northern California and a Sonoma race.
I was camping there near turn 9! What a coincidence.
For me the tower is huge and the red lines look like hot wheels to me I have a great childhood of hot wheels 😅😊
That thing that you said "Holy Toledo", my home city has one of those and I may ride it
I missed this vids!!

I bought that Suarez shirt! Super sweet!
I was there too and I hate it since it was so wet
I saw myself in the background 😂
I would love to attend a NASCAR road race in person, very cool video, Tall Groovy Boi!
At Kansas this year, the parking lots were also muddy
We took the shuttle to the Turn 1 general admission area. She didn't want to walk.
Well now we know what racing Stock Cars on a Tilkedrome is like
that truck on water is jesus
See you next year NASCAR at COTA \m/
That's the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series, usually tour with IMSA which is owned by NASCAR.
If I ever make my way down to COTA, I now know where I'm getting seats.
I went to the Darlington throwback race and their purchases were cashless as well

Nice Eric, felt like I was there with you and your Dad.😀
My Mom said that she might take me at Texas Motor Speedway for the All-Star race.
I was in the general admission in turn one I was muddy cold wet all of the above
I was there at the main grand stands
looks like fun
Eric: Says something about rain
His dad: Yeah
I wish my dad was not dying so that I could do stuff like this with him
