South Africa has a GDP that is 3.3 times bigger than Kenya. GDP per capita is the same as these countries have a relatively similar population. As a Kenyan, we need the challenge. We f@@@ked up our economy from 1978 to 2002 under Daniel Arap Moi, who mismanaged our economy and ruined every institution possible. It was like what the ANC is doing now. Just completely sending South Africa backwards with failing institutions and bad governance. It hurts me to see load shedding in South Africa and South African Airlines failing. I know South Africa can do better. As for Kenya, we need to tighten up our game. We must grow up to 10% annually if we plan on getting anywhere close to South Africa. We must end corruption, elect better leaders and dream bigger. "Yes We Can" Thanks for the video!!

@@nyakoejob4470 Kenyans have adopted the Ancient Greek culture of over analyzing and over interpreting. When Thika Super Highway was being built there was mass opposition against it. It was considered a “Kikuyu Project”. When they built the Nairobi Expressway the opposition to the project was so bad that folks were demonstrating at Uhuru Park against an exit being built there. so the famous Nairobi Expressway went through Nairobi but never had an exit in Nairobi , until Kenyans complained about the same thing they were protesting about before the expressway was built, so the Government added an exit on Haile Selassie. Same thing with the SGR. Constant opposition. “The Railway to No where” bla bla bla. Ruto I came up with a plan to lower inflation through subsidized fertilizer and we had people on the streets carrying cooking pots on their heads blocking traffic. Today basic staples are much lower than they were a year ago when they folks were demonstrating, because of increased agricultural output due to subsidized fertilizer. Ruto now wants to build millions of homes for Kenyans and you can see the uproar. “Who Told You We need homes?’ as many politicians in the opposition say. That is Kenya 🇰🇪 A vibrant democracy, where all opinions including the misguided ones are heard. We need to up our game. 5% to 6% growth is too slow a growth rate to transform Kenya 🇰🇪 to become an industrialized country by 2030. We need to increase growth by 10% and above. This is what the development plans have projected. Two new key 🔑 projects can help us achieve this growth. 1. We must build a Nuclear Power Plant in Kwale that will meet our future power needs and that of industry. 2. I wrote to Mr. Allan Kiliavuka (CEO at KQ) and encouraged him to continue engaging the Government. We need a Sovereign Bond specifically targeted for KQ in the tune of $10 -$15 billion that will allow KQ to restructure its legacy debt, expand its fleet by 100 -120 aircraft, build and manage Greenfield (a proposed super modern terminal at JKIA that will have the capacity for 40 million passengers annually) and once we bring 40 million travelers to Nairobi, we should not put them then on Ubers. That will only create massive traffic. Greenfield will need a Grand Central Subway Station to dispatch modern high speed mass transit passenger trains across Nairobi Metro Area linking towns such as Athi River, Machakos, Thika, Muranga, Kiambu , Limuru as well as Ngong Town. Allow KQ to own and operate these three projects ( The airline, Greenfield and the Subway) that will greatly enhance her balance sheet and give Kenya 🇰🇪 the economic transformation we need. All these projects I have mentioned including the Nuclear ☢️ Power plant can be paid for through a Sovereign Bond. The Capital Markets are open after two years of being closed due to high interest rates. Raising $15 billion will be a piece of cake. Kenya floated Eurobond 4 last month. We only need $2 billion and it was over subscribed to the tune of $9 billion. We need to do this now, as I cannot predict whether these capital markets will be favorable in the future. Big and Bold is where Kenya 🇰🇪 needs to go. All the best.

Even if we were to compare where the poor from both countries live SA is miles ahead, and mind you we don't have white places in SA its either you are wealthy, rich, middle class or poor we have people of all races in all those categories. FYI South Africa has higher number of black middle class after USA and Brazil, don't be ignorant get infomed.

Man....I'm a South Africa and lived in Kenya 4 years, South Africa is very dangerous place everywhere don't be fooled by beauty. Kenya is very safe, you were just in the wrong place at night. The problem in South Africa you can die for R10, in Kenya they can rob you but not kill you.
