Great reaction 😊 this song was my introduction to Ren just less than a week ago. I had to watch several times to grasp everything he was saying. I have listened to a lot of his original music and covers. The second song I listened to was Sick Boi. I have listened to countless reactions and I see a lot of people in the comments that I saw on the first reaction I watched following along like I have kind of cheering him on but I also see many new people in every new reaction I see. It’s been so cool to see the effect this has had on so many people 😊

I loved high intensely you watched this and absorbed this awesomely presented video. Ren says its genre is barcore, which is a great description I have also found a few reactors that refer to this and similar styles are Punk Rap - which I also like. Thanks for giving me another great reaction to mentally add to my obsessive viewing of this by a variety of reactors. There’s a moment just before the Devil possesses Ren for his monologue, in which the two phrases get jumbled up and Ren looks down confused at his guitar. That is deep, deep genius.
ok so Ren has an autoimmunity sickness called limes disease and it is extremely painful. it something you can live with but it can also kill. he is super talented and can sing, rap, play guitar etc etc. there is a series of songs he has that follows this, jenny and sams song, and one other deals with mental health issues, physical and enotional trauma look into watching those other 2 as well.

I’ve watched maybe 30 reactions from HI REN. Yours was the first (and only so far) one that played it through in one take without pausing every 30 seconds. It was refreshing to watch the progression of facial expressions as the video continued on. Ren is a captivating artist and his videos were made in one takes. Hi Josh, as mainly a listener to great female vocalists like Angelina, Haley, Diana and some more I stumbled across Hi Ren four weeks ago, only a few days after it came out and initiated, among others, the first music reactions to this (I had first encountered the original video, it had been repeatedly proposed to me by TH-cam, and the thumbnail and title had me click it) - I was blown away, never had heard such a thing before and it was damn solid in every respect, so I started checking out more, and more and more, the guy is an amazing genius... I have been thinking about why not only me but actually quite a few Angelina fans I know are mesmerized by Ren. They are so very different, yet they have some things in common... both are top tier artists in their respective domains, which for Angelina are soulful female (jazzy) vocals and song arrangement and interpretation, basic instrumental skills but enough to accompany herself, beginnings of songwriting are very promising... Ren is a great lyricist and rapper, a great singer and guitar player (watch his Bob Marley cover!) and a profound songwriter. What they both share is an outstanding ability to tell a story and convey emotions, different stories and emotions though, but on the same level of artistry and universality... I love both Angelina and Ren because both are putting out REAL ART... artistic reality... I'd be back for more of both, with Ren some must do's are the new Sick Boi, but also the trilogy The Tales of Jenny, Screetch and Violet (in that order, best all at once, there's a link to a video combining all three tales on his channel, go and sub...) and Money Game parts i & ii, also Chalk Outlines w/ Chinchilla... but also things he did with his band The Big Push or his bro Sam... I like your calming voice and sincerity, so I just subscribed! Seems like everything Ren has done or been a part of is truly next level. I really love ‘The Hunger’ - he raps, but just like everything else he does, it’s not just rapping. He is unbelievably talented and seems to have an endless flow of creativity! I’ve seen some clips of him playing piano and whoa - it’s stunning. On top of all that, the guy does his best to personally respond to all the people who react to his songs! What??? In just two weeks, Ren has really impacted my life in the best way. What a gift he is!! You should check out his work with Sam Tompkins and also The Big Push. All of those guys are really talented!

just looked up the definition of bardcore: not Ren. Either they've got it wrong, or Ren needs reclassification. bardcore: a micogenre that consists of medieval-style remakes of popular songs, popularized in 2020.
It's hard to call any of Ren's music conventional. It fits neater into its intended genres, definitely. But it is always uncompromising and lacking the manicured, overly polished layers which disguise a lesser talent with record label backing. I like your calming voice and sincerity, so I just subscribed! Seems like everything Ren has done or been a part of is truly next level. I really love ‘The Hunger’ - he raps, but just like everything else he does, it’s not just rapping. He is unbelievably talented and seems to have an endless flow of creativity! I’ve seen some clips of him playing piano and whoa - it’s stunning. On top of all that, the guy does his best to personally respond to all the people who react to his songs! What???
In just two weeks, Ren has really impacted my life in the best way. What a gift he is!!
You should check out his work with Sam Tompkins and also The Big Push. All of those guys are really talented!

just looked up the definition of bardcore: not Ren. Either they've got it wrong, or Ren needs reclassification.
bardcore: a micogenre that consists of medieval-style remakes of popular songs, popularized in 2020.

It's hard to call any of Ren's music conventional. It fits neater into its intended genres, definitely. But it is always uncompromising and lacking the manicured, overly polished layers which disguise a lesser talent with record label backing.
