    I've had my 2004 Gallardo (an e-gear car), also in Giallo Midas color for a year now. Had 18k miles when purchased in January 2023 and I've put 3k miles on it since. Just performed my first oil change, which wasn't too hard at all, but with Amsoil, Lambo filter and new air filters (still had original paper element filters), it was over $400. Only issue with the car is the inner skeleton for the rear bumper holding the rear grills in, which as was mentioned all of them will break down in time, regardless of where they're driven. A new skeleton is $600 which I will need one day. But knock on wood, I've had ZERO problems with this car, which originated in CA, then Texas and finally, Florida. I will be replacing the clutch likely before 30K miles, which I intend to do myself. Even with that, the clutch alone will be $3K. So in my case, maintenance has been relatively cheap!

    1500 for an oil change is absurd...it's just oil. Do it yourself

      Its youtube. Its entertainment. You have to take these guys with a grain of salt
      Half the time they borrow other people's cars to do these videos
      There is no way this guy paid $1,500 for an oil change.
      He paid $500 tops.

    I feel your pain! I got my Ferrari F430 and 2 weeks in the accumulator and F1 line failed. Kept jumping into neutral. $7200 parts and labor. Ferrari wanted $1200 per line, 5 lines. I found out Maserati used the same lines all 5 where $1280 shipped. Owning these cars is crazy.

      I’m looking into getting either a Lamborghini LP560 or Ferarri 430 so I’m doing as much research as I can before pulling the trigger. Do you happen to know the amount for an oil change at dealership for the 430? I’d like to keep a history trail for its services, but I know it could mean over $1k for oil on the 430 as well.

      Those lines don't just break. Typically during the last clutch service, they weren't properly strapped. Same happened to mine due to the top strap not being connected allowing the line to wear on the CV joint. I bought a new EV line for $138 overnighted and spent a day replacing, refilling the F1 system and bleeding. Done deal. Sold the car with 138K miles with no future issues.

    Just got my 2008 Gallardo SuperLegerra sheepey twin turbo 800hp monster june 30, 2023. 1 of 46 produced in US. Yeah, well aware it's gonna be spendy. Love the Mopars but the Lambo rocks, especially when you pop the hood. What a gorgeous engine. The story of year one reminds me of the first time I bought a v12 XJS convertible with 11,000 miles on it and it came with a stack of repair receipts from the two years the previous owner had it, adding up to almost $10k. I thought he must have really been a sucker.. two years later I had just over 20k miles on it and had a new stack of repair bills that added up to almost $10k, and that was with me doing most of the labor myself! Eventually I sold it for a Merc 500SL so I could predict what was going to happen when I turned the key to start it, and because the SL didn't feel like the front end was going to lift off the ground over 125mph! 😀

    You can do most of the stuff yourself. There is instructions online to fix the e-gear. Buy a user ac kit for about 150 and you can pretty much test any leaks and repairs. You can change your oil yourself. Tatar would reduce your yearly cost 50 percent. Invest in a lift with be a good idea as well. Great video beautiful lambo. I hope to get one in three years.

    Brad- great video; I’m a long time subscriber and enjoy your content especially the collabs with Josh. Quick question regarding Josh’s unfortunate accident with his McLaren: Wouldn’t his car insurance premiums increase (dramatically?) after this recent claim? Even though it was a single car accident he will still receive an insurance settlement/payout with the car being totaled. And Josh being under 25 I can only imagine if he purchases another super car his insurance premiums would increase, no?? I respect and would appreciate your thoughts/feedback. Thanks

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course his insurance will go up. But it was already higher due to his age to account for the risk. But since he has no tickets, no other at fault accidents and the highway patrol did not ticket him or find him at fault. Also no other cars were involved in the accident and no one was injured which is where the insurance company gets hit the worse. It will still go up modestly. In the end, he can afford it and he has good insurance so they’ll likely make him whole. Had he hit someone and had there been injuries and had the cops found him at fault and ticketed him, he would’ve likely been cancelled. But that wasn’t the case.

    Nice Ride, that one….I still prefer the Charger, because it’s the most practical, real down to earth family Muscle Car with power to please different tastes. It is so usable and versatile that it makes a lot of sense. The Lambo looks like a Great Race Car, which undoubtedly it is, just way too Sport for me . Like the Corvette, Camaro and even the New Mustangs, sometimes, I love to see and hear them, and even ride them, sure. But to OWN….My things are more in the line of GTO, SS, Chevy Nova, Barracuda, Chevelle, and of Course, Challengers (Shaker) and Charger. I could consider a Foxbody Mustang, too. But for me, The Charger is King, Daytona or Widebody Scatpack. 😎⚓️

    How did Josh crash

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lots of speculation out there. And even Josh is perplexed at how that car could break lose so easily. One thought is that, yes, he was going fast, but that he’s used to his front engine Vette and Mercedes, and with the mclaren engine/ weight in the rear that he hit some liquid or debris on that on-ramp and the rear swung out on him. The Mclaren wasn’t all wheel drive either like my Lambo so what people new to those find out the hard way is that you can’t hit a curve the same as a front engine car or an awd car unless you’re prepared to drift a bit. But that’s all just a guess from some of our friends with Mclarens. I know he’s getting beaten up in his comments from people wanting to put it all on his age and speed, but either way, he will have a new level of respect for the mid/rear engine rear wheel drive cars moving forward and we’re all just glad he and Ethan were ok.

    • @DoAyBarrelRoll
      @DoAyBarrelRoll 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Supercars are build for performance and the trade off sometimes is reliability. Parts are not mass produced and haven't gone through as many revisions as a normal car so reliability can be an issue at times (although there are many examples of built-proof exotics like the Huracan). These cars are meant to push the limits of both speed and mechanical engineering so hiccups are bound to happen and parts improve overtime through revisions. So no these cars aren't junk but rather an example of the amazing engineering that went into making such machines. In my opinion they are works of art on wheels
