I've seen quite a few yachts with remotes like this for owner/operators, but never on a yacht over 60'. He's obviously done that 100 times because he came in like a boss.

Are used a wireless remote on the three different vessels over the period of 10-12 years. The technology improved substantially over that period of time. It made talking so much easier. Highly recommended.

There are now wireless systems available for larger vessels, also for mechanical throttles (not many left). Yacht Controller was the best system I came across.

Amazing! Great vid, thanks. He was so relaxed and in control! Every yacht should have a remote, very small controller, I'd love to see a photo of it.

Seriously, that’s the smallest Yacht remote control I’ve seen this year. One was the size of a military Predator Drone mobile controller with a support strap around the operators neck. Then there’s Nero’s controller which looks the size of a key fob! 🤣👍

Great until you lose signal or battery.
Very trusting putting that type of vessel into wireless vontrol

Just make sure you don't turn around and forget to swap the controller around!

Got to love electronics until they break. Makes this so easy.

I've seen at 1:46 "VALUE: $7.990.000 million" (???) it seems like a lot of money (to me). I think the "million" is superfluous. And ... They have to be tacky to sail with the underwater lights on docking during the day.

I would be even more impressed if he did it kneeling down using a paddle.

Wireless? Yea, but the controls are wired, no cable physical connection to the engines, rudders etc. So, cool, but hardly a stretch. IMO just something else to break. I'll be impressed when it's done automatically by GPS and cameras', sensors.

maybe another 10 years that might happen 😊😊

There are already systems available that utilize cameras that will automatically dock a boat. A gps based system would never work since docks and boats docked as shown in the video do not have permanent precise gps locations.
