Lancer was never meant to be the best as stock. Lancer has HUGE tuning capabilities and the Evo is in another league with the Bigger displacement and power numbers. This is a paradise for tuners.

Ah, the Lancer. FYI: The Lancer was killed two years ago. The final generation is only on sale in China and Taiwan. Mitsubishi will probably bring it back, but as a crossover. That is what they do. They used to have a sports car called the Eclipse, but that stopped selling in 2005. Then they told everyone they were bringing it back, but the new car was a crossover SUV. Now maybe they will do the same to the Lancer. Let's hope Nissan makes them do something different.
These people at Mitsubishi should be flogged for blasphemy, using the names for legendary sedans for some hardly mediocre monocoque crossovers. No wonder they are on the table right now.

Bro last it was instant hit in its segment but sadly they didn't updated it from last 10 years that's why now it is outdated in it's segment,Hopefully Mitsubishi will launch its new generation like they have launched in China and Taiwan (Grand Lancer),might be next generation of Lancer will be Crossover and hopefully it will make its way to India

It's not this generation. It's an older generation Lancer which was sold worldwide. It's not an Indian variant. It was the model on which Evo VIII was based and this one's the one on which the Evo X is based.
Agree. I still have old red lancer petrol, Vento 1.6tdi, Maruthi SX4. And nothing, i mean nothing beats Lancer handling and precision especially at ghat roads. Even that arrow like look from side profile with spoiler on back is timeless classic sporty look.

Lancer evo was the real gem an iconic masterpiece of timeless marvellous engineering outstanding tuning capabilities especially the 4G63T and 4B11T was great too AWD track monster can give super cars a run for its money

Even i have driven LHD vehicle in Dubai...after driving for like 10 mins, it felt totally normal...and it was easy because there are no Stupid drivers/riders like India in Dubai, so u don't have to lookout for our vehicle touching someone else vehicle...everyone follows rules over there...!
