That's right! We've got a special guest today, and I tried to brainwash him with the power of the CFMOTO 800NK! Did it work? Will he love the bike? Does anything even matter anymore? No one's reading this anyway. I stare deeply and endlessly into an unpitying void, and see nothing but the void staring back into me.

I have a CFmoto 650 Adventura. I was very skeptical of buying a Chinese bike. The price was already very competitive, but since it wasn't selling, my local dealer discounted it. I got it for under $5k. Now I'm glad I bought it. It is a really good bike for short money.

Hey Spite I saw you just got that HF work table and if you want to make your life easier and safer when working solo spend the money and get a stand similar to a Conder wheel chock and bolt it to the table and you will be able to roll your bikes on that table and not have to struggle with strapping them in you will do yourself a huge favor. There is even a Harbor Freight version you could fiddle and tweak with to make it work as well but this is the Condor that is on my Hf bike table and I honestly never strap it down unless I am doing some tail or rear end work and using the center stand or a jack. Love the video's and keep up the great work!

I gave you a hard time about the video when you compared it to a 790, finally, I checked them out at the dealership, well for me, it was impossible to pay 500$ more for less, here in Romania they had a winter sale for the NK 800 Advanced version, better than the one you have with a touchscreen display, apple car play, and many extras was 6791$ 2023 model, I just couldn't pass that, there is nothing closer to this in that price range, here a used MT 07 is like 5k, I m waiting for the bike to arrive next week. My buddy got an IBEX 800 for 8.5k at the same winter special deal. I was thinking if anyone else on TH-cam thinks the NK its a steel at 8K well at 6.7K it should be a no-brainer.

My CFMoto is a very solid build, I think as good as any bike I've owned. The most chitzy bike I've owned was a Honda CTX700. Everything on that bike was plastic, and I broke something on it every time I removed a panel to work on it. By the time I traded it in the panels were all not matching one another because no tabs to keep them aligned. It's also the only bike that's ever left me stranded, it just refused to start one day. Half an hour later I tried again and it just started. No explanation. It did that to me twice.

I owned a 2016 CFMoto 650nk for ~4 years from 2018 to 2022. I was doing all my gymkhana training and daily commute with it. I'd say it's a good bike in general but the brakes and suspensions were very bad, no major quality issues say oil leaks or failure but engine lights and all kinds of errors go on and on. I have been fixing things like water pump failures, ECU errors, coolant leaks, O2 sensor faults, oil leaks caused by low-quality CFMoto oil filters, etc. I would say it's a cheap bike that is very good to practice and to learn but probably not for most riders in the US since the manual costs for repairs are so high and the consequence of a failed bike on the highway is also very high. They are indeed very aggressive on equipment and pricing for sure even back in 2016 so I'd say give it a few years until the issues emerge before you purchase their new models. Not to mention that they are using this new shared platform with KTM twins, unlike the old 650nk which is based on a much more mature Kawasaki 650 platform already been developed for years.

This was a great chat about these bikes. I feel that many Chinese brands are proving themselves with good quality products these days. That's not to say that there aren't still terrible Chinese bikes out there, because there definitely are, but Chinese brands seem to be just another option in the motorcycle world. I've had two Chinese bikes so far, and they are great for beginner riders and amateur mechanics due to their simplicity. I just hope to see more from CF Moto in South Africa in the future. The Chinese brands here have really proven themselves over many years and are worth considering for new and old riders alike.

China's history of intellectual property theft and currency devaluation is the moral of the story here. CFMoto's bikes are obviously good because they're essentially Kawasaki's and KTM's (evidenced by a video from Spite showing KTM branding on the oil filters. If my memory is correct it was the hard break-in video). They can easily place higher tech parts on their bikes because they also have a history of devaluing their currency and treating workers poorly (part of the reason everything Chinese-made is so cheap). The reality is that there is no escape from Chinese manufacturing in the global economy, so there are plenty of bikes/parts and other goods that inevitably come from China. However, the issue with CFMoto is not their quality but the geopolitical implications of purchasing from a Chinese company, thereby directly supporting a country with ideals and governance directly at odds with American and European interests and what many would consider an evil regime. Hopefully it makes everything cheaper and pushes the industry forward like you say, but clearly knowing where the dollars are going is what makes this company a hard no for many people.

The performance is on par with the rest, they blow away the competition with features that are thousands of dollars (or way more) or not available (like on the 450s). Wiggle the clutch lever on the CRF300, I got the Rally, wiggle wiggle. I have the little Papio 125SS, built quality on par with the rest but so many nice little features.
