Paul did decide to help him, years later, getting him some work as a session musician which enabled him to have a renaissance and set up a new band. Eventually, however, he succumbed to heavy drugs. A little emotional and psychological therapy and some TLC might have done the trick after the let-down for this talented musician. Was the biopic about Jimmie's life ever made?
