this is from the documentary The Beatles First US Visit. I believe this is while they were making A Hard Day's Night sometime in February or March 1964.
This film was obviously taken during the giddiness of the first U.S. trip, in the Winter of 1964. I suggest that the train, they’re aboard, is taking them from New York, and the Ed Sullivan show triumphs, to their first North American concert, in Washington D.C..
I believe the first two minutes of film were of them getting ready to leave the hotel for the Ed Sullivan Theater for their first appearance on 2/9/64.
And notice how cool, calm and collected they were!! But would John, Paul, George and Ringo have been that way had they known they were about to inalterably change the Free World, as well as the millions and millions of people under the communist thumb?
This is Just fascinating to me even though it’s all incidental with nothing of importance happening..I find the early days much more interesting than the latter days like in Disney’s Get Back(which was also great). Just amazing knowing that they’re about to become one of the most influential people of the 20th century and beyond

@@vintage_gal64 Okay, it’s what I _thought_ it was. Maybe I’d better not type the name of it (TH-cam being what it is), but if people search *Maysles Beatles 1964 wiki* they’ll find it. It’s from a 16mm documentary (shot by documentarians Al & David Maysles) about the Beatles' first visit to the US in February 1964, and it documents their travels to NYC, Washington, D.C., & Miami Beach. Although I own the 1990 version (later released on DVD), some of THIS footage doesn’t look familiar to me. Either that’s because it comes from the original 1964 version-which includes 20 minutes of footage that was cut out of the 1990 version-or because it’s been 12 years since I last watched it and I just don’t remember, lol! The 1990 version includes 22 minutes of musical performance by The Beatles from the _Ed Sullivan Show_ that the 1964 version didn’t have. Oh, and this footage was shot about 3 weeks before shooting began for _A Hard Day’s Night._
They used to take out their frustration on Mal. They tried to beat up Mal when they met him but he took the Beatles on so he got the job. I think that' was after they played in London and realized they needed a body guard.
It's cute and al, but not a big fan of them telling the little girl they would return someday when they had absolutely no intention of doing that. It's a small lie, but it wasn't necessary.
How great to have a hit record that is so huge you can turn on the radio randomly and hear it playing.

I'm honestly not sure. I know that this was filmed on the set of A Hard Day's Night but I am not sure who filmed it.
