Love your daycare room. I taught preschool last year but this year I have playgroup 2 and 3 year olds. Had to totally change the room to meet their needs. I love that you don’t have stuff all over the walls. I have very little on my walls as well. I think the toys are enough for the child so they don’t because so overwhelming visually.
I can’t agree more! Thank you so much for your feedback, what a great thing to have a playgroup. Do you run it like a co-op? I did that when my children were little.
@@thecalmingchildcare9550 I work for a school. They have 2 year playgroup, 3 year old Explorer, 4 year old preschool and 5 year old Begindergarten. I have a huge room so it is nice to have the children spread out. I am the teacher but I have a co teacher and sometimes an aide as well.
I'm looking forward for your video about "what your day look like?" I am childcare provider too in my tiny home and you really inspired me. Your place is simple but absolutely a home full of learnings ❤️ I love your setup! Materials, the space it's beautiful 😍
I'm sorry, I never asked what your name was. I just love how calm and relaxing your space is. I have been doing daycare for 22 years and for the past few months I've been trying to figure out how to make mine calm and relaxing and you have really helped me to do that, thank you!
Awe, that makes me feel so good! My name is Shannon, I guess I should be better about doing introductions but I’m totally new at you tube. I just started this channel because I felt like there wasn’t any of this type of help and instruction when I stared so I put it out there hoping to help other FCC providers.
What a beautiful daycare setup! Absolutely stunning! I noticed that you only recently started this channel, so I'm sure you already have ideas for future content, but just wondering if you would consider sharing what your day looks like ie. your daily schedule/ programme with the kids? All the best with your daycare and your TH-cam channel. :)
Thank you! I have so many ideas I don’t even know where to begin! But I do have some things like that in the works. I haven’t figured out how to juggle a day in the life yet but stay tuned because it’s definitely coming. ❤️🥰👍
Hi Shannon. I am a home child care educator in South Australia and love the ideas and advice you provide. You have lots of amazing resources- I wonder if you would consider creating a video on how you manage storage in a small space? Thanks so much!
That’s wonderful! Thank you! That is amazing that you would ask that because I was seriously considering doing one very soon. I have the smallest storage closet and I’m about to do a complete do over in there. So maybe I can come up with something. The lighting is terrible in there though, fingers crossed I can pull something together 😅
I don’t keep very much in the bins and I make sure that they don’t have anything that is a choking hazard. So if the open a bin they usually just reach in and explore what’s there. It’s been really fun to watch my newest crawler start to explore the room. It’s actually the two year olds that love dumping. If dumping is a problem just keep a few things in each bin and show them how to take them out without dumping. Over time it works!
The toys on the low shelf are from a Montessori supply that is out of Germany. I got them when we lived there but you can easily find them on Amazon or a Montessori supply. The tissue box I made with some scarves and a wooden tissue box from Amazon.
Thank you! It’s actually a little ikea side table that I cut the top open and put in some LED lights and covered it back up with a piece of plexiglass glass.
Yes! This is so calm. Most daycares seem to have too many colors and causes the mind to feel overwhelmed. I really like this.

Where did you get the toys on the low shelves for your crawlers and how do you keep your crawlers from pulling out the bins and dumping?

Great space!
I love your home daycare set up. Thanks for sharing! Is that a light table or a light pad on an existing table?
Thank you! It’s actually a little ikea side table that I cut the top open and put in some LED lights and covered it back up with a piece of plexiglass glass.
@@thecalmingchildcare9550 What a great idea! Thank you for sharing!
Nice
Wjere did you get the light table from?
This is actually an Ikea side table that o cut the top off and put an led inside then covered it with a piece of frosted plexiglass
I love your space! Is this in your basement?
This is actually on my main floor in my living room right off of the kitchen.
Do you have a link for the white cubbies from ikea
Yes! www.ikea.com/us/en/p/kallax-shelf-unit-white-00275848/ hopefully this works. It’s just the kallax shelving. They are the best 👍
