I like doing backyard food-forests (Edible landscape). You should cover that soil with mulch/wood chips. The sun will destroy all the nutrients in your new soil. Neem oil is good stuff, and there are beneficial insects you may want to research that will eat the bugs that attack your plants. Soil should never see the sun :-)
Some great advice my friend, I will try to find a good organic mulch for the peppers and basil bed, I think the sweet potato bed will be good as it will be completely covered in vines,
Back on the garden train, I like that! Smart move my friend! Gardening is completely a learning experience! Jalapeno's will change your life! Peppers grow great here in Florida! Yes, Black Kow is my jam, love that stuff. those beds look great! Horn worms, love tomatoes! More Sweets! Yes! You up potted those Papaya's, that will be good for them! Haha one is a Strawberry Papaya & the other is a Golden Papaya! Sharing is caring! Nice Aloe is very useful! Garden's looking good my friend! Arghhhhh!
I have not, and digging through the beds and turning them all over and working the new soil in I did not find hardly any bugs. ... probably jinxed myself
Hey Fish 🐠, very nice planters !!! Try Serrano Peppers they are a little more spicy than Jalapenos. I grew Roma & Tomatoes on the vine this year & no horn caterpillars. Also the plant or small tree that you moved a few times that was your momas is a Plumeria, it should flower if it is. Out here in So Cal it's harder to grow year round due to freezing temps. But my fruit trees do well ( Apple, Cherry,Apricot, & White Peach & Pomegranate)🥳,try chicken fertilizer next time I believe it works better cow manure IMO.. Keep up the good work Bro...👊
I was like, No, its a Frangipani... googled it, Plumeria is the formal name so you are right! We always just call them Frangies. Ill check out the chicken one! Appreciate all the advice!
@@Steve_aka_Fish 🤣 Fish 🐠, we are both right amigo 👊. I have to of them, they are beautiful plants. Well Bro keep prepping, planting & stacking...Aztec Out👊

Sasha tried to kill the Papaya!
That is the only thing I miss about SoCal was the Mediterranean weather. It was great for growing my orchids!
The weather and central CA mountains are the only redeeming qualities... and DA

Thanks bro, learning as I go and looking to expand next spring.
Nice that you're carrying on the Thai pepper tradition for your father-in-law. ✌🏼
Papa's peppers! The seeds we had for the peppers were we old but they still grew

Nice green thumb. It's good you got the weather to grow. Any day now the weather will start to get cold here
"THEY" say FL is year round, we about to find out!

@Steve_aka_Fish I've always known them as a Plumeria. I had three different colored flowers. I miss growing those as well.

I mis-spoke, its golden papaya and strawberry papaya. I think they are just variations of papaya.
@@Steve_aka_Fish Interesting 😁
