Yep, hoping for a nice haul, long term we want to get a rotation going so we can have plants at various harvest levels to ultimately give us close to year round yeild. ... gardening while simple is alot of work though so we will see, nice thing is the sweet potato is such aow maintenance easy plant to grow

@@Steve_aka_Fish I'm never and never was in gardening, but my hubby loves,I'm lazy bones😂😂,I can't take care of myself, how woukd I take care of these plants,but yeah I had that curiosity as how a root can be grown again, so it's stems create a new root,fascinating 😍😍
Fish 🐠, that is Fantastic!!! How many Sweet Potatoes per plant, 1 ? Thanks for Sharing.... You can use leaves or grass clippings for mulch, works Great. Just make sure if you use grass clippings it has not been fertilized...👍👊
@GoldAztec05 you get about 5 off the main plant and we are hoping to replant the vine as it grows and get additional yeild so hoping maybe 50-75 sweet potatos from this batch, maybe? We are not sure.... more than last batch lol! That is the goal, increase the yeild

Not yet, but we are going to start looking into preservation methods for sure, Mrs. was just talking about canning.

You can eat the leaves of the sweet potato vine , just lightly cook them , steamed , boiled or saute
