@@TheSlipAngle I've heard bad things about it on the forum... however really depends how much u undersize, the rx8 a/c isn't good to begin with lol. however I've seen races with a lightweight pull mod real time difference is actually apparent. car makes power more consistently. only frees up 3-4hp but on the torque less wonder it makes all the difference 😂
The weight is a good gain as long as engine doesn't super rely on crank pulley for dampening in which case you could be causing damage to engine. Alternators can't be underdriven due to how they work. AC Compressor I don't believe can be for same reason as alternator. Under driving power steering is one that's pretty win/win because there's no harm and you'd instantly know if it was overdone by steering resistance. That bling thooooooooooooooooooooo
this is like one of those mods tuners on Hot Version would do as that last 1-2% to help the car on the Gunsai Touge, after stripping all of the interior and slapping in a sequential transmission lmao
I mean for my daily driver with whatever tires this car actually set a pretty respectable lap time when we tested it. And I like my neo chrome QR so.....🤷

But trust me.....porting is the way, but not at the expense of taking out a nice healthy lump that's not blown ..not yet anyway.
Is there under charging going on with the lighter alternator pulley? Isn't that bad for the battery? And any issues with cooling having it on the water pump as well? Thanks
DNA Motorsport in Australia has a beautiful pro charger kit that has detailed instructions, and all the parts needed if you wanted to go with forced induction. I plan on getting one once I have money😂
Just disconnect the battery for 30 seconds and the ecu resets. Also don’t street or Bridgeport it, you’ll get a tiny bump in power from a streetport and tune, but you’ll decrease longevity pretty significantly. Bridgeporting has nothing to offer on a Renesis. If you do pull it apart just port out the carbon catchers in the exhaust ports and leave the intake ports alone.
I had a second gen xb (wait, waaaaait) that I had fairly extensively modified, but by far, the most eye opening mods were (besides all the suspension, i/h/e brakes, 5 speed swap, lsd and wheel/tire mods) were the lightweight flywheel and under drive pullies. It was SO easy to rev and rev match, felt like my engine went from flabby to ripped!
So what are your thoughts on this? Was it worth it? I recently got a set of ryan rotary performance pulleys to my S2, didn't had time to install them though. Bought them without any real research, just wanted the engine to look nicer.
can we get a RX-8 update and maybe a breakdown on all the mods you've done. Would like to know a long term breakdown/feel for them. If you'd still recommend each one. The gains you believe you've experienced. All the things!

Not possible to lighten Rx8 rotors AND balance them after, you’ll just end up smacking the irons and chewing up bearings plus the rotors are already ridiculously lighter than all older rotors due to heavy lack of material (which is why you can’t do both). Bridgeporting has nothing to offer for the Renesis.
What do you guys think of lightweight under drive pulleys as an engine mod upgrade?
Engine revs more freely, less power gets wasted. Had all aluminium pulleys on my ex clio RS 172, good mod. Done it when was doing other mods.

This and the neochrome hub will give you the edge at the track.

I don't see how a street port would reduce longevity. I've have multiple street ported engines that I put quite a few miles on.

They are discontinued but it's a strut tower bar, not a sway bar.
