    All these years following your articles, it was really interesting and cool to see how you model. The yellow painting is exceptional, and you really made this a great model for your shelf. If I didn't have the Razor Crest started I think I'd start a Tie Fighter, this was a really fun build :)

      Thank you very much! It's interesting that you mention the Razor Crest, but I can't say more right now. When you're finished with your Mano ride, submit photos for the FSM Reader Gallery. We'd love to see it. - TK

    Damn this looks good I don't think mine will turn out half as good but if it does I'll still be proud

    My TIE fighter just arrived from eBay , now I just need to get my hands on some decals, and i can start on my own.

    That is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I love black and yellow, always found the mining guild TIEs so interesting and your recreation of it is truly out of the park! Would you ever consider a commission for one?

    I really love how this model turned out and I really want a mining Guild TIE fighter in my collection the only toy model I can find is like the X-Wing game model and that is just too small but I don't really want to build it from a model kit either I really want to try doing this with a micro Galaxy Squad TIE... I'm also trying to do a TIE aggressor from a Thai Advanced X1 also micro Galaxy Squadron

      Thank you! I thought the same thing. It would be better for seeing details inside, too. -TK

    I'm thinking about doing this but not in so much detail to a micro Galaxy Squadron TIE fighter

    Beautiful work!! Problem is I can't find an original tie fighter only first order ones.

      Thank you! These are starting to show up again as some kits get through the crimp in the supply chain. Keep an eye out. There are a couple of sites that are starting to take orders again at the usual SRP. Thanks for watching and I hope you can make a TIE/mg of your own. -TK

      Right now Amazon has them. They are Bandai kits with a Revell sticker in the corner of the box. You can also use the first order kit and just leave of the kit part that covers up the details on the inner hub on the wings. The pilot is slightly different he only has one hose on his respirator instead of two. But inside the cockpit he is hardly noticeable.

    I have a post return of the Jedi tie advanced x1, in legends the new republic had a few anakin solo, juno ecplse, lando, so the new republic would first obviously paint them so red instead of gray, but then a few modifications cut out the front squares on the solar panels add the tie interceptor wing tip cannons and targeting sensors and then also fins like the red imperial royal guard tie interceptor, it’s a idea in my head but I don’t have the skill maybe this is a idea you can consider

      That sounds like a cool project. You should totally give it a go! You'll never know if you can pull it off until you get in the middle of it.

    Is there any way I can get the mining Guild decals in the micro Galaxy Squadron size scale..?? Any advice would be very helpful because I really don't want to attempt to paint that either.. on the internet it says that the micro Galaxy Squadron TIE fighter is 88 scale I'm not really sure what that means as from what I know various ship scales are different 1:50,1:75 and even 1:200...I have also heard the micro Galaxy Squadron TIE fighter is 1/72 scale from what I've read online.. I'm not sure what is correct if anybody has any answers much appreciated.

    Did the black panels get painted?

    • @FineScaleModelermagazine
      @FineScaleModelermagazine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There were no swirls or discolorations in the plastic, so left them unpainted and flat coated the whole ship at the end. Thanks for your question and for watching! -TK
