    I am a bit confused. Do I need to be available on Thalamus and Interview Broker beforehand or do all programs use ERAS/Mail irrespective? My point being, if I don't have an account on Thalamus, will I miss interviews or will programs use alternate means of contacting, particularly ERAS

    • @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987
      @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey! No these accounts are ment to SCHEDULE * your interviews, you will get invites from programs via email or ERAS with links to these platforms - i.e. if you get invited from a program that uses Thalamu's software to schedule so you get the link to the Thalamus invite via email and then you can go ahead and make the Thalamus account and accept the invite. Hope this helps!

    Hey Doc..thanks for your vdos.
    I have a confusion.This year we are taking OET medicine instead of CS and so many of us are taking it at the end of Sep as this exam is conducted only twice a month.So, we are supposed to get results by 15th Oct and application submission starts on 21st Oct.I am not sure whether we will be certified by 21st even if we get all scores by 15th.So, can we apply without certification but all the scores?Does it hurt the application?
    Another question,if I apply for certification and ecfmg accepts that in 2-3 days but getting the paper certificate takes time.So, once we apply for that email and our status changed electronically are we certified or we have to wait till we get the paper certificate?

    • @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987
      @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! TBH, I'm not too familiar with the new OET stuff going around this year, you should ask around other sites like Reddit or FB groups for IMGs and see who can answer OET specific stuff for you. Nonetheless, I always advise applicants to SUBMIT BEFORE DEADLINE!!! Try your best to do this!!

    • @og4687
      @og4687 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought the ECFMG CERTIFICATE gets handled electric tronically and the paper one in mail is just a copy for us? We have to send pur paper copy somewhere??

    Thank you for this!!! The word going around is that interview season will most likely be virtual. Do you have any tips with this in mind? Do you think it would be possible to continue working during interview season. Im working as a scribe now

      @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In terms of vitual interview tips, I would be professional, dress appropriately, be in a quiet room with good lighting and during the "zoom calls with all applicants" try to stand out by talking here and there, be mindful of others when they talk aka the applicants. There's a lot of changees happening, maybe I'll try and upload a video closer to interview season more about this.

    do we have to pay for thalamus, interview broker?

  • @orlando666100
    @orlando666100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, I don't get It, if one does not have Thalamus you might be missing some interviews because you never saw the invitation because It was made through Thalamus? TIA

    • @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987
      @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To clarify: you will get the interview invites from ERAS/email but the program may choose Thalamus for their scheduling platform so after which you can make your account and schedule the IV date itself. You should not miss IV emails because they don't come just on Thalamus, they should come to your email to schedule on Thalamus. Thalamus is a scheduling program.
