    Hey, great video! Thank you =)
    Quick question: when you mentioned applying to programs that have accepted a certain percentage of IMG applicants - what would you say is a good percentage to take into account?

      My personal cutoff was 10-15%, my friends varied as well depending on their specialty, location choices, etc.

    Is it good or bad to apply in different program in same college?

      In my opinion, if you really like a certain area or hospital/programs then it's okay to apply in different programs in the same place, but make sure the specialties you are applying for are both of which you would enjoy, there's no point of matching into a specialty that doesn't make you truely happy!! Good luck .

      Hey! Let me see if I can access the uploading portal and make a quick video on it - I'll need some time. Shoot me an email with the same question as well -I'll look into possibly another resource I can find for you in the meantime. Good luck.

      Hey. Sorry to hear about the hardships you've had to face during these difficult times, know that you are not alone and there are many students having to adapt to the circumstances and enhance their applications in different unique ways this year. That being said, don't give up and keep fighting for your goals. I think doing telehealth/telerotations to get experience in that area of virtual healthcare is a great idea, especially if you can do it under a US clinician's supervision and obtain a LOR from a US doc. The first priority should be getting 4 LORs for each program to be eligible and having at least 2/4 LORs in your desired specialty. Good luck! Email me if you have more questions.

    Thank you very much doc for making all these videos. Can you please explain to me what is "perceived commitment to specialty"?

    • @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987
      @vaibhavisolankivm.d.5987  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Kinjal. You can show your commitment to specialty in many ways including: making your PS specialty specific, LORs specialty specific, having research/volunteer experiences geared towards that specialty or its related aspects, etc.
