Then one of your pieces of hardware is bottlenecking everything else. Things would be fine for me if I had a better CPU, but this game is also still at fault. I'm sure if Ubisoft comes around, they'll patch it up soon so people can still play comfortably with hardware in between recommended and minimum.

More vram does not mean more fps. You could be using less than 1gb of vram and still have the game be demanding enough only to get 10fps.

Turn "Dynamic Resolution (target frame rate)" OFF, to reduce VRAM. I use 3GB
I get a decent framerate but my biggest issue is the stuttering. I have a Asus 1080ti paired with an i7-8700k. I think the game is CPU intensive and setting the game to high/realtime priority in task manager doesn't seem to improve much either.

Textures quality doesn't take so much performance rather than post processing these days. I suggest maxing out terrain, water, and so. Anti aliasinh put to low fx or high taa, this makes the game look more smoothly. Everything else on low, or some personal preference, like vegetation or so
Okay , I have a question.. I got a GTX 1060 6gb SC which I overclocked just like my Ryzen 3 2200G
I had a 1050p 59hz screen and FC5 ran around 75fps on high settings
Recently I bought a 1080p 144hz screen and even on low settings I can't run the game above 20fps , for me this defenetely seems like a bug rather than a hardware issue since it's only FC5 where my frames are so horrible

Game is total bad optimized for Intel+Nvidia pairs. 1080ti+8700, and get massive drops to even 0 sometimes,with freezing. Ubisoft ftw..

Yo this helped me so much, my frames used to be 60 and dips often, but now, its a solid 55 - 60, subbed.
I used to have an average of 7 in the benchmark and just about to test on all low and no shadows or fog 😂

Try this:
1. Run Far Cry 5
2. Go to task manager > Processes > Ubisoft Connect WebCore (32 bit)
3. Right click the process and choose "Go to details"
4. Look for upc.exe
5. Right click upc.exe > Set priority > Low
6. Right click upc.exe > Set affinity > uncheck all "CPU" except one
7. Close task manager, go back to your game and see if it helps
8. You will need to repeat this process every time you play (not sure if there's a way to make the changes permanent)

Bottleneck... Your CPU is wayy to weak for that gpu.. I recommend you to buy a new cpu like Ryzen 5 3600 or I7-7700K ...

Ultra goes over 60 to 100 fps. High, medium and low are gonna be between 80- 140

What is your Monitor Refresh Rate. If it's like 60/75/100hz, then there's your issue.
There is a reason why but I can't remember it right now.
Just search any monitor with 144hz etc like Asus or Acer, and on the product page there's normally comparison images to show this.

Well I plugged my old 100hz monitor in, turned motion blur off, and trees etc were blurry on mouse movement. Then I plugged my 144hz back in, no more blur. So good luck figuring it out.
do you experience any stutters? Sometimes I do and its stupid, my PC is fast enough for this game. i7 4770, GTX 1060, 8GB of RAM and game running on an SSD and still stutters sometimes despite I get 60 fps all of the time.
Is it the GTX 1060 3gb or 6gb model. Plus 4770 is getting a bit old now, and lacking. I have a 4790K overclocked and even that is starting to show its age now. I can compare it directly beside an identical 8700k system and there's like a 20fps difference.
Also it's possible, if you have the 6gb GPU, that the CPU is bottlenecking it.
I know this video is old but this helped alot went from 45-50 frames to 65+

i think your cpu might be throttling, download any program to see its temperature, if its how you might need to decrease it, aka increase airflow, better cooler, replace thermal paste, blah blah blah

Not sure if you're still replying, but I'm getting 44min, 50ave, and 60max with an Intel Core i5-9400F, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, and 24GB of 2400MHz RAM. I'm running a 2560x1440 75Hz monitor if that helps.

upgrade ur cpu my guy or heck if ur using ur 1650 and not integratedd if u have a laptop, or check to see if ur bottlenecking ur machine, if u are then minimise everything in the game settings and increase if desired. another tip if u dont already know is run ur machine on high performance and keep rndom tabs closed this wil help ur cpu out heaps

I thought the game would run perfectly. sadly the performance is really bad for me and I dont even know why.
i run everything ultra as of now, but thing is from steady 80 fps it drops to like 5 fps for few seconds and comes back to normal, and it does that on random occasions. CPU temps during those lags are 95-98C and GPU 76-79C, got gtx 1660 ti max-q and ryzen 7

well i tried looking it up but couldn't understand, asked got the answer of 1GB...this is what it says in the "adapter" tab: intel hd graphics 530 string, total available graphics memory- 8259MB, dedicated video memory- 128MB, system video memory- 0MB, shared system memory- 8131MB....
I'm playing Far Cry 5 on high settings, 1366x768 with TAA antialiasing, and it's managing around 40-50 fps and in bunkers/buildings it's 60+. I to also have the Nvidia GTX 960m, but with an i5-6300HQ. I'm pretty sure you should be able to run it, also, if you're checking your display adapter, it shows what hardware is running your actual internal display on your screen, and in this case it's your intel HD graphics 530. If you want to check your Nvidia graphics memory, it'd be best to first make sure you have Nvidia drivers installed as well as the Nvidia Geforce Experience installed ( www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download ). After that, just go into your Nvidia Control panel, make sure that games are actually running with your Nvidia graphics and not your intel, hop into any game that shows in the settings, how much vRam you are using.
i actually didn't consider going into nvidia control panel >.< ...anywho...i do have gforce installed and in nvidia crtl panel it says 2048 mb dedicated vram...my only concern now is whether it's gonna use the full 2 gb's without harming the laptop's fan..coz i feel, like ram, it might keep some reserve allowing me to use 1.5 or less..no??
that might be hard to run the game then :T, but lowering the resolution and settings may achieve under 2 gb vram, going over it will only just make your game stutter and unplayable.
A lot of people crying about vram... I got only 1 GB of vram and playing with 15-30fps on lowest. And I am fine with it. at least I can ran it and play mostly comfortable :D

Ive got basically the same issue. Ryzen 7 1700. RTX 2070. Doesnt matter what settings I play at, theres always drops to 45fps, barely possible to play at constant 60.

@@Taran_Bali First of all from what ive gathered the game is optimized quite shitty for Ryzen. With my CPU I might as well put in a gtx 1060 and still get the same fps, because the 50-70 range is the highest this CPU is capable of in this game, not because of a bottleneck but because the game sucks ass in that regard.
With my setup and an intel processor 120fps would be possible.
Anyhow what "helped" me a little is going into Nvidia Driver settings, setting Vsync to "fast" there, Maximum performance instead of Energy saving, Triple Buffering "On" and - this is important - pre rendered frames to 1-4 (play around with that a little.).
The GPU is boring itself to death in this game, and with this setting you are essentially making it do more by creating "backup frames" of a sort.
@@Geolas88 that sucks , i got myself 1800x coz i do a lot of video editing. But its sad to see games running like consoles on $2500+ set ups. But i will try using your setting hopefully i will see somewhat increase in frames.
@@Taran_Bali Keep me updated on your progress. And yes, it does suck. The performance difference between Ryzen and Intel is negligible in most games but in Far Cry 5 you can see an increase of up to 100% depending on what Intel CPU you use.
At the same time older models of intel have reported similar issues, so this game might just be shit in that regard.

Playing this game on ultra with Vsync on. On my 240hz laptop. Runs at 70-90 FPS with all ultra but resolution scale at 1.2
