A trip to Vancouver Island would not be complete without going to San Josef Bay and Cape Scott, the northern most tip of Vancouver island. Such a rich and diverse history with a Danish settlement about 100 years ago

So looking forward to seeing what you all come up with on my Island. We live in the Valley, gateway to the North Island and have been camping it south and north, east and west in excess of 30 years. On your way back down please drive into the Nitnat. Turn west into Lake Cowichan, past Youbou and to the to the end of the lake and keep going. Loads of primitive sites all over the place there. Be aware that storms can strand you with wash outs and flooding. I'm serious. Welcome to the Island.

@@EFRT There are soo many spots. Cape Scott is a must. Our favourite is Stratchona park to wonder around. You will have some great snow experience on Mount Washington...
If you go south west a little bit from osoyoos lake there is a town called night hawk and that is the Start/End of what we call WABDR which is the Washington Back Road Discovery Route which will take you down to the Oregon Boarder at the Bridge of the Gods. I have herd it is an amazing run. After the border opens you guys should look into it. It takes about 5 days if you kind of hurry along. It is about 536 miles I believe.

Cool, I know of an epic secret campsite above Fanny Bay (near Denman Island) if you go through. Only for Jeeps with a bit of pinstriping from bushes but nice views.
WOW a turkey cooked in the ground! So impressed! I’ll bet no Thanksgiving meal was ever as good as that one eating outside in that beautiful wilderness ❤ Love your Winnebago so warm and cozy for the cold rainy nights! Just not sure where you are going to put one of those strapping sons of yours 😅

Loved your traditional thanksgiving at camp!!! Ours will be at home this year but we’ve added poutine to our family’s traditional meal....we miss visiting Canada. We usually are in BC several times each year for bike races....
I have really enjoyed following your travels since just before the World started shutting down . I hope at some point you decide to cross over to Powell River, BC , maybe on your way back to Vancouver you can go through the Sunshine Coast. Comox is where you can take a Ferry to Powell River, there are an abundance of back roads to explore here.
In Chilliwack, did you park along the river where there is a driveway bar closed during certain hours? We camp at the spot I try to describe. Along the river, only a small campground with desert’-like lack of foliage.
So much to say about this video!! You're in my part of the world. I'm from Vancouver, where my sister lives and my biological brother lives. Last year I found my entire biological family via 23andme. My mom is in Vernon and my Dad and sister are in Duncan. I think you would have driven through Duncan on the way to Parksville. Anyway, I'm so jealous. Since we can't drive up from the US, it's a bit frustrating. I will just continue to enjoy parts of my home through your adventures. Hopefully you'll be able to get to Tofino.
