I'd like to see these compared to conventional filters on a flow bench as well as filtering efficiency and efficacy. I'd also like to see these results on new filters as well as a few that have been used for tens of thousands of miles and cleanings.
The reusable filters look nice but the stock filters clean oil better. I have been using toilet paper filters since 1963. Any good filter has oil lines going to it. There are a lot of choices these days. My old Honda 500 Custom had a Frantz oil cleaner upside down behind a saddle bag.. I converted the canister full flow filter to take a Ford spin on. I could see using the pretty filter with a filter that actually cleans oil
It's well worth it and pays for itself. It filters to a lower micron level that the off the shelf filters, has the magnet inside to catch metal shavings, and the fin design helps cool the oil. I just had one installed on a rebuilt bike. Doing the first breaking oil change. 😍
That's a great question - the short answer is it can vary, but our tech team will be able to give you a much better answer. Give them a call at 800-969-7501.
Filters that have lower flow resistance are either very large or dont clean oil as well. The Australian Jackmaster Classic on my Pontiac Torrent is a 1 micron filter. When the oil is hot it cleans about 3/4 quart a minute. You cant have a full flow filter that cleans oil. I have seen bypass filters on Harleys. Im not familiar with Harleys. My old Honda was the same as a car.
Gasoline is a good product to clean with, but unfortunately it also is very flammable, and the fumes are not good for you. With caution you will probably get away with it, but I would never recommend it. One cup of gasoline, has about the same explosive force as a dynamite.. Just a thought..
Benefits he didn’t hit on, micron rating is 30, better than the cans, flow rate is far superior to a can, they cool your oil better, you get to actually see how you engine is wearing, cold flow on a can instantly bypasses, flooding your engine with unfiltered oil, these don’t because of the lack of restriction, and the Flo is so much easier to remove. They don’t have anti drainback because the filter is downstream from the engine. Ride safe
So you replace your $15 throw away filter for a $120 dollar forever filter but now I have to use a $10-12 can of cleaner every time I change my oil? What am I missing?
Exactly. When I first saw it, I thought it would have a wet filter replacement. I'm not into anything reusable, when it comes to filtering the most important thing in the motor.

I have the first one you showed it’s a good product
What is the micron rating of the filter and bypass pressure
35 micron absolute
i ran one on my 2010 turbo charged fatboy one best things you can buy

That second reusable oil filter looks like a shower handle to turn on my shower

Use some brake clean spray
I have the pcs-4 oil filter.
I wouldn’t use too much water pressure on that oil filter.
I dont have a Harley. I know something about filters. As far as cleaning oil better I would put my money on the stock filter.

Great additional info!!
Why did harley charge me $150 for oil change when they reuse my filter??
Because they're in business to make money, lots of it, not run a charity!🤑
@@jeffmiller3150 You nailed it....
And the anti drain back valve is where ?????????????????? Most filter are mounted on their side.
Oil drain back is not the best thing for cold starts. Are you still using the high flo filter ?
I have the flow.
This video was useless. We can see what they look like. LOL. I wanted to now how much better or worse do they filter, etc.
Bike look evil? Risking your life on bike why risk the soul as well

Totally up to you, RK! Thanks for the feedback.
I agree but look where the source is coming from looks like a Puerto Rican or black
This is just another gimmick to drain your wallet.

Lol nah $5.99 brake clean at harbor freight.
No bypass
Yes there is a bypass it's a small ball bearing on the bottom side.
