Good! Some tlc and regular rides are the best way to preserve them. DAB is an important page in the Leyland history book. Just like Verheul was over here in Holland. They once belonged to the Leyland empire. Good luck!
Thanks.. the engine is just fine, but i have a bit of trouble with the transmission.. its an automatic, it has power and all but i does nothing when I push the buttons.. I think it might be an issue with the compressed air..
Drain all air pipes and air reservoirs, make sure the compressor is delivering to all circuits. The compressor should be able to fill the systems within 4 minutes, without revving the engine. Check the condition of the air dryer. A vehicle that is no longer in regular use will be vulnerable for all kinds of defects. Store it indoors and drive it at least once a month for an hour or so. The engine oil and coolant should reach normal operating temperatures. Check the tyres regularly and avoid long standing to avoid flat spots. If not done, the vehicle will not be reliable and certainly not fit for carrying people. So perhaps it is a good idea to donate the vehicle to a bus museum. Either to preserve the bus or to serve as a donor bus to keep the other units going. Leyland spares are becoming scarce. The engine allone is worth more than the entire bus.....Whatever you do, do not scrap the bus without securing its parts.

The bus belongs to a small private museum, we intend to put a bit of money and a lot of love and care into it and hopefully get it back on the streets.. this bus is only one of our 7 busses.. I'll try what you told me and I'll see if I can get it to roll on it's own again :)

I dont know the model of it, but it is a Leyland though 😊
