I live in Connecticut near Waterbury and it was raining very hard. Thankfully I live on a hill so I didn’t get flooded. My condolences to everyone hurt or dead.

I too was born and raised in Bpt. Moved to NH in 1990. Wasn't like that growing up.

I was working on Main Street North in Southbury and couldn't leave work. When I finally was able to leave, there were many cop detours on the way home making it difficult to find a way to get home!

I live about 25 minutes from Oxford. The whole area had weather reports and warnings about heavy rain and flash floods.
My friend, who lives there, told me he had several red alerts on his phone about the dangers involved, as did I.
I lived in Oxford when hurricane Gloria (1955) hit CT., and the main road was a river. I have to say, yesterdays flash floods were 3 times worse!!

I had some minor flooding I was up all night with that storm I was convinced that it wasn’t ever going to stop raining not just rain mind you absolutely downpours hour after hour after hour 😱 and never let up insane I’ve never see rain like that in my fifty years

I've lived in this area my whole life and have never seen anything like this. We got a summer's worth of rain in a few hours, about 10 inches. Every small river or stream overflowed.
