In Zombicide, Torches don't add up, so you only get to draw 2 cards for 1 Search, even with multiple Torches in. Plus, the Skill that allow to draw 2 cards in 1 Search doesn't benefit from the Torch either. So Keira shouldn't draw 4 cards (and should have trade the card to a comrade).

Drawing 6 cards per search1? Now, that's taking the piss! Torches don't have the Duel Wield symbol, so I'd assume you can't duel wield them! Plus, as already mentioned, the character in question drawing 4 cards per search is wrong (unless the White Death version of the game contains a rule change we don't know about!). I have Black Plague and Green Horde, and all Torch cards are "draw 2 cards when searching". To me, 2 is 2, regardless of the characters ability. If the cards were "Search: +1", then they'd be stacking on to the characters ability.

Nice! Excited for the Kickstarter. What I loved about the recent Zombicide is the quality of life and streamlining of the game. As much as I loved BP it was also quite tedious!
unfortunately it doesn't seem like they have streamlined to much with this, which I suppose is fair considering they want backwards compatibility. The noise system is still the same, as well as the skills system for characters. The only thing I think they changed with this is the door system? If I am missing something that was changed someone please correct me.
Nice video. There is a lot going on with having to move so many different soldiers, zombies, characters, etc. so that seems a little overwhelming but still looks really cool. This scenario is a little like a tower defense game. Not a huge fan of those types of games (only one I have really liked is Village Attacks). But being as this is a beginning scenario I am interested to see what other scenarios are like.

Can you do a video explaining what makes this game different from Okko Chronicles: Cycle of Earth, which has the same premise (defend the fort from the undead hordes in a medieval Asian land) but their KS launched one year ago? They have many similarities, including the ability to order guard actions, etc... Last Year you did a video on Okko Chronicles: Cycle of Earth, calling it "a hidden gem."
I just can`t think of the beacon as anything other than a child wrapped in a loincloth, akin to baby jesus or something. Now the mission just got to messianic proportions.
House rules for the win :) Seems like there might be some rules improvements necessary in this. Everyone with the prototype is finding lots of confusing things going on :).
The theme is amazing, the new weapon types are cool (was hoping for some item variation), the guards and the wall are a cool new feature, and last but not least, the decision to make a necromancer and abomination deck is just *chef's kiss*. On another note, as a main solo player and Black Plague fan, I have to say that I don't like the decision to follow the steps of the other zombicides, in ending the game as soon as a character dies. Of course, I did not play this version yet, but it gives me the vibe that it is not going to be as difficult or agressive as before. I would appreciate opinions on this topic.
I didn't love the mold in Invader. Having to pick up all those minis and put tiles under them was a tedious chore by the end of a mission. That might be a deal breaker for me in this game... which my wallet would be thankful for haha.

These guys are demoing a new version of Zombicide... And the 1st time that the green boil/mist token gets played on a zone, they don't explain how/why it was played!

Having played a lot of massive darkness 2 and zombicide black plague/ green horde .... They both scratch a different itch which warrants having both for me. Massive darkness is a night where you need to think a bit more due to players acting very different from each other while zombicide is more of a night of drinking and boardgaming. Zombicide is a lot more straightforward in it's mechanics
They are both dice chuckers, but work in very different ways regarding abillities and items. Zombicide is a lot more streamlined (players have 3 life points, there is no healing, attacks are simple, etc). In my oppinion, zombicide is a very nice game to have as a gateway one (cthullu isn`t hard, but might be more difficult to get to the table because of its theme and more "advanced" gameplay regarding multiple skills, madness tracks, differente monster attacks, and so on)
@@billredford2 You are right. What I meant is that there is no healing as a core mechanic, like, there is no "rest" action. And, if I recall, there are no survivors with regeneration in the core sets, but I agree with you that the mechanic exists and I stand corrected.
Zombicide is starting to get repetitive. If you have zombicide content then you probably won't need to get this and more than likely won't play it. Black plague was fun but I don't actually want this one.

I am liking everything but the silly Tiger-men, at least have them as a made up creature/human mix, a tiger just doesn't fit the theme at all, a small negative but an annoying one.
To be fair it's a Russian/Chinese theme, apparently. Tigers are very Siberia. And to be fair on the other side... I don't like anthropomorphic animals the majority of the time. Sorry, Jesse.
Previous versions of zombicide were boring, repetitive, no story or campaign. Felt so boring to play, kids didnt even like it. I thought this was a tower defense and kinda interested but its just zombicide different skin.
