Now this is what I grew up with $6.50 to $8.50 General Admission bands like this that put out this energy to packed stadiums and nobody I mean nobody got in fights. 2 people started fighting we surrounded them grabbed them and dragged 🎉them to security your throw them out. I've seen everybody from Parliament Funkadelic to Metallica at those prices this energy and no problems.
Лорд, Блэкмор, Пэйс, вот настоящий Deep Purple! Гении! Творят и кайфуют от того, что делают! Не до, не после ни в одной группе вы такого не увидете!!! Восторг! FOREVER!
Hey it's Keith Lord!! I mean Jon Emerson!! Jon, you need a Moog Modular! Keith needs a couple of ARP Odysseys! Can you imagine the two of them on stage jamming?!??!!
Now that's a literally smoking rendition of a tune that live every so often tended to come across as rather insubstantial and seemed more of an individual showcase for the different members' instrumental wizardry than a coherent musical statement. My favourite version is probably from London '74. That one not only encompasses 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' and some bars of the Yardbirds staple 'Still I'm Sad' (pre-Rainbow) but also features the cheekily incorporated original intro of 'Bombay Calling'!
Glenn was coked up after snorting some offstage, I think during the drum solo. Apparently the police had footage of it and thought about charges. David insists on throwing his hair after every line. Ritchie missed his cue coming back to the riff and smiles in embarrassment, much to Glenn's amusement. I don't get why David sang the screaming bit low down, surely Hughes should have sung that part. Dance To The Rock And Roll was great, though I don't think it was called that here. (Glenn's solo part). When he shouts I don't wanna see anyone sitting down, a woman smiles in the audience and she's the spitting image of British soul singer Alison Moyet. Apparently Tommy Bolin was watching this at home and later commented about Ritchie almost burning his britches.

Extraordinario, amazing. Una cosa es escucharlo y otra cosa es ver su ejecución y que te vuele la cabeza. Te felicito. El espiritu de jon lord está contigo. Si Deep Purple quisiera retomar el sonido clásico debieran llamarte. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
@shotguy1 Yes, you are quite correct*. I wasn't referring to the riff of Blackmore's re-arrangement (which itself is heavily based on the sparse intro of the original) but rather the actual medlody/theme the man in black spontaneously launches into at the 25:17 time mark. *Although it bears a strong resemblance, I think there are still some subtle differences between the riffing on the intro of "You Fool No One" and the final version Ritchie lay down with Rainbow roughly a year later. Cheers!
Lord never was obsessed with synths and new technologies. He once said in the interview that he stuck with Hammond and it became his trademark instrument.
Man Jon Lord ...❤ That Hammond... His Arp.... That guy....!!! I have this concert on vhs, when i was 13.... 53 now... Didnt particularly like Purple MK 3, Glen Hughes screeching put me off... I happen to be looking at my Burn lp atm, just sitting there... I dig Glens Rickenbacker 4001 series bass, makes me think of Lemmy, and Geezer, Never Say Die tour.... ❤❤
@@ΜαριοςΓιακουμακης-κ3κ I mean each to his/her own. But hearing Coverdale sing Space Truckin' really shows his limits. Now, Gillan couldn't sing Mistreated like Coverdale does either, of course. But Coverdale and Hughes together can't even come close to the power of Gillan's Space Truckin', that's for sure. Adding in the Hughes gospel certainly doesn't make anything better - man dude, it's like your first gig with a band famous for a screaming singer, and you walk in doing that - and you're not even the bands singer dude.
03:44 they fucked up :D i can't hear exactly but either the guitar or the bass or the keys, or all of them started the chorus a few beats earlier .. and they corrected it on the spot, that's rock n roll!!!!!!!
Gillan and mark II absolutely the best. You can tell Jon Lord is not on track. Respect Coverdale and Hughes. It took years for those two to find a voice. Jon Lord predicted this when Gillan resigned. They were a rare ensemble group with Ian Gillan.
I laughed when Glenn does that falsetto bit during the chorus, it sounded hilarious. One of my acquaintances flinched visibly. He sounded like Mickey Mouse on helium.
dont know if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my gf for the last few months =)
Space trucking, gran versión , pero creo se dieron más fuerte live in Japan , aquí Jon Lord estuvo muy entregado a new Riff , Ian Paice espectacular a los cueros, junto a Lord Richie Blackmore con la guitar , luego de la mitad del tema hacia el final ,igual live in Japan 🎹🥁🎸🎸
Gillan/Glover are sorely missed. Coverdale, although a limited writer, went on to some growth, and used his bluesy voice well in later years. But that screeching bassplayer is an allround disaster to me.
Miss G&G, but Hughes should've handled all vocals - DC I thought was horrible in Purple...his talent was released in 'Snake. Gillan's shoes were just too big for most mortals to fill.
jon lord...the many sounds he was able to get out of a hammond b3 organ and 2 ARP odyssey synthesizers.....rest in peace, jon....

@@lauriesmith589 That’s true. And don’t forget about the Marshalls. 👍👍👍👍

David voice is sooooo good ❤️ husky and raspy 😲 wow one of the best vocalist ever love yah
The best live version of Space Truckin is on Made In Japan.
marc dewey
I agree! Paicey's work was incredible...didn't miss a beat...
It is. In fact, every song on MIJ is the best version of itself.
truth!
marc dewey And I cannot believe how much worse this one is, Blackmore was obviously getting tired of playing this stuff.
