Neither Rare Breed Triggers or bump stocks are serialized, so no direct records of sales exist at a point of sale location. Rumor has it that when the ATF raided Rare Breed, that the computers were seized and that they gleaned the sales records of people that directly purchased. Once the sales records of dealers, the sweep was widened to banks and card processors.
Remember when under the Clinton Justice Department headed by Janet (Waco) Reno in violation of the law, retained the NICS checks beyond the laws 90 day allowable. She ordered the retention of these records knowing that by law they were to be destroyed.

UNLESS HE HAD SEARCHABLE PAPER RECORDS. The FFL where I had bought it years before had gone out of business years before. There was no NICS yet in 1988

There is already a federal law requiring destruction of those purchase records. The federal government is simply violating that law and getting away with it because the executive branch will not press charges against its own members who violate the law. Congress cannot force such arrests, but they can eliminate funding for executive branch agencies and they can impeach every president that allows the executive branch to abuse delegated presidential authority.

you are correct. to begin with the ATF was a violation of the constitution. the ATF was formed during the prohibition 1920-1933 to enforce the 18th amendment but they werent officially the ATF yet, (BTW the 18th amendment was abolished by the 21st amendment.) they officially were formed in 1972 but originally started as a branch of the treasury as "The Bureau of Prohibition", the agents were also known as the "Untouchables" due to certain things. they were disbanded in 1933 but then became the ATU (Alcohol Tax Unit) and in 1942 responsibility for enforcing federal firearms laws was transferred to them, then in the 1950s the bureau of internal revenue (which had responsibility for enforcing federal tobacco tax laws at the time) became the IRS and responsibility for federal tobacco tax laws was transferred to the ATU and the name of the ATU became ATTD (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Division). and in 1968 when the GCA was passed they were given responsibility for enforcing it and started to be referred to as the ATF division of the IRS. then in title XI of the OCCA of 1970 Congress enacted the ECA which provided for close regulation of the explosives industry. The ATF was given responsibility for this act, and in 1972 the ATF became an independent bureau within The Treasury Department and then in 2002 after 9/11 when the HSA was signed into law and the Department of Homeland Security was established, the ATF was transferred from the Treasury to the Department of Justice (DOJ). then the task of collecting tax revenue from tobacco and alcohol was transferred to the TTB which remained a part of the treasury. which also means that the A and T in ATF dont matter anymore and are pretty much irrelevant at this point but they through their weight around as a branch of the DOJ illegally but since they are with the DOJ it is difficult for justice to be served. also the FOPA of 1986 had to be formed because of their corruption and unconstitutional actions against law abiding gun owners, because ATF agents had been targeting those with collections and collectors items rather than "criminal street guns" and in 1986 it was estimated that 75% of ATF gun prosecutions were aimed at ordinary citizens with no criminal intent. And since then theyve been a pest creating new definitions and enforcing them unlawfully, Ever heard of the Ruby Ridge standoff, i'd recommend looking it up.

So they say they scrub the names, but they have ALL the other information? Serial numbers, make and caliber, dealer name, time and locations of sales. Would that also include the address of the buyers of said firearms?
If it's unlawful to have the information while the business is still open, what makes it leagle when they close their business? You now have the locations of everyone that purchased a firearm! That's a registry is it not? Another unconstitutional 'rule' authorized by the ATFE.

The solution to the out of business forms is quite simple. Image the actual form, assign it a barcode, and record the serial number of the firearm. Thus, when a firearm is recovered from a crime, the serial number can be searched, and the actual form image can be seen. But there is no searchable info by firearm type or purchaser.
