Most gorgeous memory wire bracelet on TH-cam! I saw a bracelet like this at Nordstrom's going for a lot of money. Thanks for showing me how to make it at home!
so simple.... ive made few braceltes for family using memory wire. Always bung on bach of beads. But never thought to make it look like different rows. Im going to make a couple rows look like friendship bracelts by adding a little ssection of knots i uses. Many thanks
if you work with memory wire - get some xuron double flush memory wire cutters!! i've cut a few hundred memory wire bracelets and they look like new! and they're like $20, so not super expensive, but they're soooo worth it
also the charm is on a jump ring... its a LOT easier to make the loop, then just attach the jump ring with the charm :) plus you can do that at the very end, so it's not dangling and annoying while you make the bracelet
Hi Joan, We like to bend the wire up and out away from the wrist. That's just our preference. You can see that is step 2 of the how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ Hope that helps! Cheers, Jennifer & Kitty
Great video, quick question. I generally make stretch bracelets but hate that over time they break. Do you feel this method is better than stretch style?
Hi Laurie, Memory wire bracelets are a great alternative to stretch bracelets. No clasp, fits most, and easy to make and wear! Here are a few on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/?s=memory+wire+bracelet Also, we have a way to do stretch bracelets that works well. We haven't had any issues with them breaking. Here's the tutorial on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/gemstone-stretch-bracelet-video-and-kit/ Hope that helps!, Jennifer & Kitty
Helpful video. Do you have suggestions for making men’s bracelets (eg surfer dude). I know they often use black or dark blue “lava” beads, silver, chrome, etc. Would you use a heavier wire? Thanks!
The beads you mentioned sound great for a guy. Also jasper, agate, jade, and wood. (We don't think the wire needs to be any heavier. ) Also, check out our Gemstone Stretch Bracelet video. It's a style that men (including Rob Lowe) are wearing. Here's a link: th-cam.com/video/9UHLkU4vUcg/w-d-xo.html J&K
Thanks for the video! By far my favorite bracelet!!!! Beautiful colors! !!! Can you please tell me where did you buy that memory coil!? Thanks again for the video! !!! :)
Thanks so much Miriam! We got the memory wire at Michael's. You can usually find it at Hobby Lobby and Joann's too. It is also available online. We just checked and Amazon has it. Or you can go to an online bead store like Fire Mountain Gems. Hope that helps! J&K
Hi Tamicka, We used all different sizes of beads and changed the style each time around. Here's the how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ Hope that helps, J&K
Great question Amy! The memory wire comes in different sizes: small, medium, large, and extra large. The size refers to the diameter of the loop. Large bracelet size 55mm or 65mm in diameter fits most gals without being too loose. Here's what it looks like: amzn.to/2LtXu6x Here's the written how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ Hope that helps! J&K
Hi Jadi, We would guess the beads range from 3mm to 10mm. Here's the complete how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ Hope that helps! Jennifer & Kitty
+ipsy281 We checked the memory wire and while the gauge of the wire is not printed on the package, it's fairly thick. Pearls typically are drilled very thin, but maybe just test test it. Hope that helps!
Hi George, You can get memory wire at Michaels, JoAnn, and Hobby Lobby. If you want to shop online here's a link to some on Amazon: amzn.to/3cSbajW Here's the step-by-step how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ Hope that helps! J&K
What a beautiful bracelet! Thank you for sharing. I tried to make a bracelet, but the wire is not tight on my wrist, very loose, could that happen if the beads are too large or heavy? 😭
What size memory wire did you use? Did it fit alright before you put the beads on it? If yes, then possibly the beads are too heavy and are pulling it out of shape. Try smaller beads or a smaller size of memory wire. Hope that helps! J&K
We used bracelet sized memory wire. Not sure that gauge of the wire. Here's the complete how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ Hope that helps! Jennifer & Kitty
Hi Betty, The memory wire we used is large bracelet size. The package looks like this: amzn.to/3v0njgm Here's the how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ J&K
I'm finding all my memory wire bracelet are loose and slip open and often off the wrist. What am I doing wrong!!! The beads are all ok...it's the whole bracelet that separates instead of staying in a 2 coil or 3 or whatever.
So sorry you are having trouble with your memory wire Katie. It should spring right back like a Slinky! We like Beadalon. The package looks like this: amzn.to/3j9pE2D It comes in different diameters. Perhaps you could get a smaller size. Here's the how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ Hope that hellps! Jennifer & Kitty
Oh no! You can buy strong wire cutters at Michaels or the hardware store. Or buy cutters specifically made for memory wire. Amazon has them: amzn.to/2ZQ2KTL Hope that helps! J&K
So sorry you are having trouble with the loop. It can be helpful to grasp the end of the wire deep inside the pliers. Rotate the pliers, Then reposition and rotate again. It does take a little elbow grease, but placing the wire deeper in the pliers can help. Here's the how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/ Jennifer & Kitty
Love this bracelet and the simplicity of the instructions. 🙏
Thanks so much! We have a few more memory wire bracelets on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/?s=memory+wire

which way is the memory wire proper way to bend wire in or out for comfort and looks? I have watched different ones do different ways.
Hi Joan,
We like to bend the wire up and out away from the wrist. That's just our preference. You can see that is step 2 of the how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-a-memory-wire-wrap-bracelet/

You should let everyone know the thickness of the memory wire as some is very thin, not really good for a lot of beads. I use 0.8mm
Great point! We recommend you test the beads on your wire to make sure they fit. J&K

How do you keep the fabric from fraying?
Which project are you referring to Alice? Let us know! J&K
Sorry, I think I got this mixed up with a sewing video! Thanks! 💜
When cutting memory wire, you must use memory wire cutters. You will ruin any other cutter.
Yes LJ! Definitely do not us your good wire cutters to cut memory wire! Thanks! J&K
I so am gonna make this!😀
