Yorkshire Dales Gravel Epic

Josh & Nick take on the Yorkshire Dales - a 4.5 out of 5 full on gravel EPIC. One of our harder rides of the season with some technical sections and plenty of punchy climbs but oh so rewarding. The full route is 89km and nearly 2,000m of elevation starting and finishing in Skipton with a loop around Malham.

Very enjoyable vid!! Last time I cycled to Malham was the bitter winter of 1962/63 when the snow was as high as the walls!! Go there in my car now!!

One niggle: the 2nd feed on the long route needed savouries. It was lunch time. We opted for a bacon sarnie at the (excellent) cafe round the corner!

Is that a mountain bike with drop bars on it having raced cyclocross years ago before all this gravel nonsense came into being (bike manufacturers buzz word to sell more bikes) I still ride my colnago off road (gravel for all the gear no idea mob ) with 30mm cyclocross tyres no problem

It depends how tough the "gravel" is. There is a route that takes in the Yorkshire dales three peaks. I'm sure it would be impossible on a cyclo-cross bike.

oh yeah, a good old fashioned bike ride .
any bike will do , city bike , touring bike , mountain bike and a road bike with bigger tires also known as a gravel bike . 💤💤💤
