- Repentance on Steam: store.steampow...
This came from my Twitch stream on July 22nd, 2021. Follow me to catch me live every day but Saturday: / northernlion
Repentance is finally out and I am streaming a lot of it! I figured it would be a good idea to put the streamed videos in their own separate playlist, hope you enjoy following along with my progress (and streams of consciousness).
this video's fun because every time he's about to pick up a consumable he stutter steps as he tries to remember whether it'll ruin his run or not
What make it so funny about it, he don't never run outta the banter potion. He just banter forever and there aint no point to the stream
Good comment
he's been doing it since 2011 brother. It's fucking wild.
tell em soulja boy
Everybody gangster until the caveman leaves the peanut area.
your comment sent you thank you
Out of context this is so wild
@@tylerreigner3627 fr, I literally have zero recollection of what I was saying lmao

NL sighing sadly then getting the depression item shouldn't be as funny as it is
41:15 Comedic timing, the moment he sigh he found depression.
Coffee was introduced to Europe in 1669 by Sultan Mehmet IV of the Ottoman Empire. It was a gift to the French Royalty and become popular among the elite. From there it spread throughout Europe and became the drink of scholars and thinkers. It was probably introduced to North America some time after that.
every time NL says "nobody knows what this does" i literally not figuratively turn myself inside out
One time we had a sub in calc and he said he had a master's in math and knew everything, obviously meaning everything about the course, but by then it was too late and everyone was mocking him for knowing everything
I just spent 3 hours doing the rerun challenge with your videos on autoplay the whole time and I finally finished the achievement succesfully while this video was playing lol
Thank you for all your amazing content Ryan! :)
Thanks to you, I have found one of my new favorite songs and albums of all time - Songs From The Big Chair. I've always been a huge fan of a cover of Everybody Wants To Rule The World but the original has this...incredible energy and performance that is truly indescribable. Thank you as always for your wonderful taste in music, egg :)
It's a shame the baby isn't based anymore, with her favorite band being Weezer and all :/
😠 agoobi
go ahead, take your car to work
I'll be on my board
their first sentence is gonna be 'i'm cringe but i'm free'
Hey leave Weezer alone
"You're going to be fifty when your daughter is eighteen."
My father was fifty when I was born.
28:15 Dude I almost cried laughing at this 😂
"Cavemen" traveled a lot, so even if they lived in the peanut area it would not be year round. More nomadic peoples would follow their food source around, foraging for what they could find in-between hunting. On the other hand, many groups of people in prehistoric and barely historic times were much more settled than you'd expect. Still, their food sources were varied and changed based on the season. Also, many ancient societies, or peoples that are considered "native" to their respective areas (not to say they weren't native, just to say that that moniker is sometimes over stereotyped or not preferred by the people themselves) did use stimulants because their lifestyles were much more active than ours. Many plants can be chewed or brewed to have a stimulating effect, and alongside ancient beer were a staple in many diets
My last memory of public school is my Spanish II teacher sobbing and telling us there is a special place in hell for people like us lol
23:00 The phone bit with the fake laugh SENT me 😂
Claims this video is gonna be his manifesto because its so long, then releases a video a day later that's almost 30 minutes longer than this one. This is a pogged timeline for sure
I watched this bad boy live. Some of the biggest pogs of the man's career in this run.
NL if you like food history Adam Ragusea on TH-cam makes some easily digestible videos on that exact topic. Pretty cool.
He also makes easy and to-the-point recipe videos, but his food history and food science stuff is what I think sets him apart from other food TH-camrs.
Vinegar leg is indeed on the right
insert "why i season my cutting board instead of my steak" memes here
I prefer ethan
Good pun
The banter is great on this one
Egg with the comedic timing on the Depression pickup, +2
1:04:10 ryan, we dont call supreme being, the lord of computer science, interdimensional connector john carmack ''john carmack'' , its rude
Man, did that 9 year old baby vs a 5 year old geriatric joke crush me.
Also it's nice to hear NL cuss.
Hey NL, if you're really interested in the history of beverages and a quick informative read, check out "A History of the World in Six Glasses" by Tom Standage. It goes over beer, wine, tea, coffee, spirits, and coca cola and the historical context surrounding how those things affected people's daily lives, as well as influenced societal changes. I'm sure the audio book is fairly short too.
Usually during Summer/Winter break, teachers are organising their next classes and making new materials. They don't really ever stop working. My mom is a teacher and even though I respect her and her job to death I could never be a teacher, it's a thankless struggle!
I’m 18 and I can imagine that for every reference I understand, there’s gotta be at least a dozen that go over my head. That being said, I love when you go on tangents tossing out references that I don’t understand; it’s so surreal lol.
NL, with 20 lives: Damocles too risky.
Egg boy, why.
With the whole sleep discussion, I think it's just a person to person thing like most are.
Id love to just chill at home and have Ryan-teacher call me and go Ha ha!
Games like assassins creed generally have a function wherein you don't control your character at all and they automatically follow these days.
But the reason characters walked between the run and walk pace could be twofold, for one the journey length would have to suit the length of dialogue they're recording, although this could be fixed by things that aren't walking speed.
But secondarily, if they had the characters move at running speed, if you fell behind for whatever reason, you'd never be able to catch up with them, short of them just stopping and waiting, which might make sense for dialogue scenes, but if you were meant to be tailing someone, it'd be pretty immersion breaking. They could walk them at the slowest speed, but that'd just make the mission tedious as all hell as you slowly walk behind someone for 20 minutes, so they strike the middle, fast enough to not have it take forever, but slow enough that you can catch up if you get stuck.
man, the one stream where I might be able to help the conversation. Yaupon Holly is native to north America, like Texas and the south of the US, and has caffeine in its leaves. Tea, in the strict sense, is one specific plant and is native to somewhere in east Asia. I think coffee is native to Ethiopia. Hunter/Gatherer diets would've changed with the seasons and what was available in the region. Source: Dude, just trust me.
The extremely niche John Carmack reference had me fuckin dying
NL, In reference to the Caveman food variety, its true they had some of the best diets and variations. This is due to the variety of tribes being nomadic, living off the land and moving as they needed too, gave the land ample time to continue to thrive. This benefited them in their stature, weight, and muscle too. Studies show our variation now because of globalisation, has led us to have about the same level of variation as the cavemen, and we're only now starting to reach the average height and build they had because of it. Coincidentally, the worst period was the medieval period. because most lived in squalor or couldn't afford, they only had very limited access to basic grains, and suffered physically for it.
the beatles made Revolver when they were all in their mid twenties
I just finished duck dynasty for the first time, and they are introduced to espresso for the first time lol
"But honestly, I'd be kind of stoked, to be honest"
Old video but coffee was properly introduced and used as "the breakfast drink" during the revolutionary war! Drinking tea was seen as supporting the british so Coffee was the norm 2:30
"Oh fuck youre gonna make me cyberbully you" - My english teacher in south korea
NL really taught for one year and then never stopped talking about it
"Nobody knows what this item does, right?"
No that's Eucharist, an AB+ item from the DLC you played more than 4 years straight of
"Nobody knows what this one does either."
No that one's Circle of Protection, an Afterbirth item that debuted in late 2015
Please install External Item Descriptions btw
you made all that up
the aztecs had chocolate, also the enlightenment began when europeans switched from booze to coffee, the middle east had coffee in the 11th/12th century around their golden age, every place that had caffeine became powerful, I wonder if theres a caffeine theory book similar to guns, germs, and steel.
I've heard people say that caffeine caus d the enlightenment before, most notably in that cgp grey video about coffee
Kinda lame that broken modem works on familiar enemies’ tears and shots
Yaupon is a caffeinated plant from North America. You can make "tea" with it. But Tea as in Camellia sinensis
is from China originally yes. American Indians in what is now the American South drank Yaupon tea. But tobacco chew was also used as a stimulant.
Hello, Ryan teacher....
1 hour 24 minute run? must be a speedrun _sniffs_
Lol as if anything were apolitical, what an amazing joke NL! Have you been watching Jreg?
Baby got a based opinion on the Red album. +2 baby
Am I missing out on the red redemption run?
Substitute teaching was awesome, i played so much rimworld
Forgive me father for i have pogged
He talks about how when he hit his 30s it was fine because society’s perception of him now matched who he was (ie it was okay to stay in and read) problem is, I’m coming up on 30 and my pass time is to watch him play the same video game I’ve watched him play for 10 years… not what society wants me to be doing.
I live in west virginia, idk about fifty miles but that politician is 100% right that most of WV is a food desert, as most people mostly live off food from gas stations and dollar general. my local grocery store sells out of date food and gets away with it because it makes money off people in government housing. its fucked
Gotta love that capitalism.
does anyone know whether or not he's done red redemption challenge yet and if so where it is

The man uploaded his last challenge before the red redemption. I guess that's how tables turn around but out of genuine interest, why mess up the chronological order?
Thanks for telling me that cavemen eat at peanut areas
If you like Silver Jews, listen to Purple Mountains. It's David Berman's solo project before he died. His best work.
Peanut area... you mean a peanut gallery ?
1 hour long? Must be a rerun
Would love to see you try Noita
he's tried it before on nlss
Must be a speedrun…
Have we gotten the red redemption video yet?
what the hell is a latte?? might be poisonous
bro I they sell those everywhere. Can't believe they're selling poison just like that.
Why doesn’t NL like “Inside”?
He does! He’s talked about it in other vids, but the phrasing was confusing here. Basically he was explaining that Bo made something really good and is really young, like if you should only produce something this good at the end of your career
glad he stopped that sleep could kill him
no rem sleep is death
Ryan doesn’t understand Paleolithic humans
Gulp This
Dodge This
Analyze This
NL watch Dark on Netflix. It's my favorite TV show of all time.
He has and liked it.
Did I miss the Red Redemption episode?
ive been so confused looking for it the past 2 days lol
We all should probably forget about chronological order.
Love Wowee Zowee
Ennélle likes Nick Drake, has probably listened to Pink Moon and wept
I can't imagine that Ennélle has shed a tear once in his entire life, he probably thought "What a quaint little guitar strummer"
if ryan was my teacher id pog so damn hard dude
Has he gotten death certificate in a run yet?
What I hate even more on Netflix is their terrible live action originals and their humorless and disgusting "adult" cartoons
yeah but there is some absolute bangers
hello ryan teacher
half of this was just naming people lmao
10 years younger lol
NL what if I told you, there's even people in this day and age that don't consume caffeine. Including myself. In fact I smoke weed too lol
lol weed lmao drugs haha

You know what pisses?
Netflix should renew sense8

Are you tired from the vaccine?
I don't know if he's being wilfully ignorant about cavemen having varied diets or if it's a joke.
Edit: Now does he really not know what Eucharist or the Circle of Protection does? I thought this Pog Lord knew everything about trivia & Isaac
First?

Ok
Yeah
