All the communities I'd like to join are meaningless. Most of them rather interact online. All of these guys that have the same interest as me don't wanna share in person. But the religious communities are different. Although the media likes to show the bad side of religions, most of them are actually peaceful. I always love to attend in my local mosque.
I’m gen Z. I was raised in a vehemently atheistic household, my parents never once allowed me to be near anything vaguely religious in school, why exactly I don’t know but I think it all had to do with fear of ‘brainwashing’, to let me form an ‘unbiased’ judgement of the world. It did the opposite as two decades later, I was a misanthropist, a nihilist, I thought having faith was lame at best and shameful or dangerous at worst, I had been sold the lie of liberation by false prophets and I had ended up hating myself, I lived in short-sightedness because “the sun is gonna explode one day and we’re all gonna die anyway lol”, I had no big plans because I thought I’d be pointless, but then I saw life was passing me by year in, year out. I tried to find meaning within a mindset of pure meaninglessness and guess what? I didn’t find it. I’m on my own now, my journey is going to be slow, but I intend to read the whole damn Bible myself instead of letting others tell me what to think about Jesus Christ, I listened to his teachings, and I haven’t felt this hopeful in a long time. I am glad I was wrong for once, I’m done living in the world of cold rationality and spite of Richard Dawkins.
GenZ really need this video, i'm kinda hopeless in my generation, living in Brazil its not easy, we have first and third worlds problems, we grow up whit a vision there is a noway to give ours sons a good legacy for they live in a good society. GOD IS KING

The industrial rat-race machine that human civilization has become, combined with how science (in the eyes of everyday folk) replaced the mystique of the universe that spirituality thrived on with explanations for everything, has resulted in a generation of agnostic hedonists who think they're above religion, but really just worship a more profane god, whether it's materialism, some political ideology, or more recently some sexual identity. And looking at the decay of society at the moment, whether it's mental health, the vitriol surrounding any contentious topic, or the dehumanization of people who disagree with you, it's clear that the pendulum of civilization HAS to swing back the other way soon if humanity wishes to survive. Gen Z-ers right now NEED something to BELIEVE in, a shining city on a hill to strive towards to, whether it's God, nirvana or whatever. I just pray that this great shift you say genuinely happens, because the alternative is more isolation, more division, and just more misery.
