uhm... Unity auto-updates all 2d sprites and 2d sprites in the scene, you do not have to manually apply a new material to everything... I might re-do this tutorial and do a little more research beforehand. There are also some things not covered by this tutorial that are essential, and this should be at least labeled as a 2D tutorial.
Unity does not redo it as it did not redo it in the video automatically. It also did not automatically update it in my main project which is why I made this video.
@@KAJ7x Ah, it didn't come across that way, yeah there's a system in place however, I've briefly had issues with it in the past which is why I went about it the way I did in the video. Just an alternative to give people better control over upgrading assets to be usable with 2D lights.

hmm i have it set up this way, and the lights do look enabled in the scene view, but once i start play to enter game mode, all the lighting is gone.

@@Hinternet i never said that unity just "does it" you have to go to somewhere in edit and you will find a button that converts everything to URP
