Thank you. I'm new to your channel and grateful for your tips and tricks and informative videos. I have a ton of inefficiencies to improve. I look forward to checking out your videos and other resources. I wish I could binge watch your videos during the holidays, but I'm not sure my rural internet and data limits will allow. Thanks for sharing your expertise!

We've run into A LOT of records that look like ours but wasn't ours. Some names are super common in Papa's family. We have one family that ended up with 15 kids in 2 different towns in England. The mom would have been 13 when her first child was born.... possible but not likely. We want through each christening record and made a chart.... now we need to figure out which family is actually ours.

Oh the challenges of same name research. However, I hope when you do sort it out that you'll leave your research for the 'not-my-family' on FamilySearch so their descendants can find them and not confuse them with your family.

Hi Debbie 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌹🌹🌹🌹

What if you found a document on the web, but you don't have the right to save a copy, how do you deal with this? I can site and give the link, but websites go down all the time.

First, I'm curious about which website doesn't allow you to save information from it.
Second, I would transcribe all the relevant information. Then, see if you can find the information in another format. Meaning, if the website is a blog and they offer stories, see if you can find the origin of the stories. If it's an archive, see if you can find away to find the original and get a copy of the document.
Meanwhile, I would check the Internet Archive Wayback Machine to see if the website is being preserved there. That would help you know if you'll be able to access the content in the future if the website disappears. You'll then have to make some decisions if you find out that the website it don't being preserved.
      That's what I would do.

      @@FamilyHistoryFanatics great tips thank you.
It is actually a digitized copy of an old yearbook from when my grandmother was in high school. It is in a PDF format and will let you look at it and even download it but it does say it is copyright protected and you do not have the right to use it anywhere else.
So while I can keep it on my private tree for documentation, I can't put it up on my public tree and use it as a source to show residency.
