We call him rondey jesus mullen. Even the modern shape of the skateboard we ride qas invented by his imagination. Rare for a sport such as street skateboarding to still have its founder alive.
There are some of his biggest tricks he had ever done he doesn't do big often its all about innovation and creativity with Rodney it's a treat to see him do big
An awesome song [Dream on][by Aerosmith] and An Amazing skate vid part done by the great Rodney Mullen. This was the 2nd video I saw in 1994 & immediately bought a skateboard [right] afterwards. A mix of flatground 'freestyle' skating & street skating. Enjoy.
I think the most amazing thing is how he was the best in the world at freestyle, then transitioned into arguably the greatest street/tech skater of this period. You can see here he looks all sketchy as is still adapting. Pure talent!
_And John Rodney Mullen cast himself from the suburbs of Gainsville, Florida. After ten years of kickflips, ten years of endless championships, freestyle would finally come to an end, street skating, would be his escape from freestyle's decline. But it had not always been this way, Mullen had once been a champion of the Skate Gods._
the few of us on this earth who can realize the sheer innovation of this man will be forever engrained as a golden gem during the most trying times in humanity.
OK GUYS! I need to know what shoes these are, been scouring on the internets without finding anything. Anyone nostalgic enough to remember these shoes? The White ones!
First time I saw this I cried, it’s so beautiful.
Still gets me all these years later too.
What a legend.
Same bro. ..I couldnt believe what i saw. .. would watch this everytime i went skating with the song in the back of my head.

Never seen a skateboarder with more soul than this man. Legend.
Me and the team used to watch this section til the VHS got fuzzy. All time greatness.
I remember this was in black and white right?
My youth... Fisheye VHS Skateboard Videos. And Mullens Part on SHS was from another world.
This is what got me to pick up a board all those years ago.
Was an amazing time to be a skater.
It's like a travel machine for me , so good memories at his period .
Most creative/ innovative skater ever. Give a frrruck who you are!! You’re not topping two years let alone his career!!
Come at me!!!!!

Remember when you landed a hard flip and thought you were getting good, then this came out and you sucked again... Lol classic
@L G yes sir!
@L G of course i do, man... miss you bro... how are you? You were always a great dude
Exactly ha
I had this tape as a kid. Brings back so many memories. IIRC, Jeremy Wray had a sick part in the video as well.
"Iiiiin tttthe white room *huge front side flip over Carlsbad gap* with black curtains..."
Board control and balance second to none! First time I have seen all of those Casper Slide variations. Are you kidding me????
best Mullen part. a lot of these tricks would be worth while in a part today
He is a legend.
I find it interesting how he progressed. In the early 90s he pushed mongo switch but the late 90s to early 2000s he pushes normal switch.
Wow..i think i've never seen this video before. And i thought i would know all stuff about Rodney

Oh boy. I watched this in 0.5 times speed and I got really excited of the foot position switch in that casper spin thingy. That's nasty!
Also, the ender i watched at full speed. I got so much from this thank you.
Oh, the Casper slides!!!!!

How is Rodney Mullen still getting better? He said that he didn't want to fade in public but he's much better now than he ever has been.
ooooh really?!!? can you suggest some vids to check the contemporary growth?
The prolific magician!
this is a classic
Imagine being that good legend
Love Mullen
THIS GUY!!!
HIS TRICKS ARE NEVER. FINISHED.
Inspiring pairing of a song to a video.
I miss the late 90s/early 2000s so much i hate the modern world it's absolute shit and not worth living in

God
What is it about him? There's plenty of guys doing all kinds of tricks. For some reason, the guy is just mesmerizing above all others.
Because he was the first. He invented soo many tricks. No one skated like this in the 90s and early 2000’s.
Долой Штолле!

I'm pretty sure they're the original Etnies Sal 23s (before they were rereleased as the és launch model).
