They should've used this scene. It's fairly normal, even biological father could hate his baby after his wife died giving birth. It's just a kind of psychological distress. After reading comments on this video, I think many people misunderstand and think Rick ignored Judith bcos she was Shane's not his. Maybe this was the reason why they'd abandoned this scene, they didn't want to mislead the audience. IMO, even Judith was his own baby, Rick might still react the same. After everything he had been through, Rick totally needed some time to make up his mind. Fight me if you think Rick didn't want Judith, Rick always wanted the baby although he knew it's not his.
Most people are just joking about the fact that it's Shane's kid. The show itself has Shane come back as a hallucination to joke about it. Nobody needs to fight you on something that only you took issue with
Everyone's empty bowl and Carl's still full bowl is so sad... In between Rick's grief and a judith being a new born Carl's grief and how strong he is being, just goes unnoticed/underappreciated
@@synystershadows5989 yeah most of this scene is in the episode. When I saw this scene I totally knew something was missing, I wondered why Rick and the baby were never addressed
Well ever since season 2 when Lori told him she had an affair with shane, as well as being pregnant he knew that judith was shanes baby as soon as she said that.
Season 4 and 3 were the best season’s of The Walking Dead , they had a lot of action and stressfull moment’s with the whole war between them and The Governor , and the emotional moment’s were really on point , you could feel that how much broken Rick became after Lori’s death.
I think The Walking Dead was more interesting the first few seasons. I really believe the acting was amazing and on point. In the later seasons the acting got a bit worse, well not necessarily worse but typical. I remember The Walking Dead seasons 1,2, and 3 having a certain vibe that always made me excited to see the next episode. At a certain point especially when Rick left the show I completely lost that vibe. I now know it was better acting. The story focused on a tight-knit gang the first 3 seasons. Then in season 4 the gang got a bit bigger. What they were missing out on was more room for body language and better acting. I remember some scenes where a character didnt even have to say anything and you already knew what he/she was going through. With a smaller group they could have more potential for an improved story arc... more character development. In season 1 they had a short amount of time and they gave Jim a good story arc. Season 2 did really well on character development. I really like what they did with Shane throughout the entire season, but especially on 2x10 with the lone walker in the field. That episode was great and definitely one of my top favorites in the series. It was primarily a Rick and Shane episode how they would hash things out when they're out alone away from the group. I liked the chupacabra episode, that was definitely a Daryl episode. Its things like this that made the show great. When the group was smaller it felt like a family and they had more emphasis on our characters.
I don’t think he was completely ignoring her, I think he just had a lot on his mind at the time, but obviously he still should have kissed her forehead or something...
Let’s give rick a break ok, He did everything he could to keep Lori Carl and Judy alive, but she died, and it’s “kinda judity fault” of course it’s not for real , bc she didn’t asked to be born and Lori would live if Hershel did the leibor, but still a weird situation, also, rick is trying to ignore the fact that Judith is Shane’s daughter, and he killed him, his friend, and he was cheated on, and now he and Lori are dead and he have to take care, of a baby that it’s not just “not his”but is also the consequence of a cheat, so he is conflicted, but as soon as he looked at her for the first time he instantly falls in love for her, he realizes she is his daughter, and that he loves her, he regret the past days, thanks Daryl for taking care of her, and most of all, from that day on he takes care of her so fucking much, like she is his daughter, he loves her and protects her, just like he does for Carl, they both are his reason to live, and he is an amazing dad, definitely the best i have ever seen in real life and fiction, I love their relationship
exactly & then the fact that he could’ve, thru the lense of grief, seen it as this baby that isn’t his , whose bio parents are his dead best friend & his wife , just killed his wife so i can’t say i blame him at all
It is more than obvious that Rick would ignore Judith for not being his daughter and being Shane's daughter and secondly, because Lori gave her life for Judith, it is obvious
🇺🇸:Because that scene is a deleted scene because if they put it on they would label Rick as a bad stepfather for not loving Shane's daughter. I mean it's obvious why he would feel a certain suspicion towards his stepdaughter in the same way she will never be his daughter and despite the fact that Rick loves her, he would never say that if he harbors a certain hatred for him.
Let me see why it will be oh yes I already remembered 1.it is not his daughter and it is the daughter of his best friend 2. She is the reason why Lori is dead
Actually, lots of speculation that she's not. Many people believe that Michonne saved her. That's why they had the scene with her crying when she held Judy.
Ethan Templeton no. when he saw judith, what he saw was lori. he was still mourning ovef her death, so seeing something that reminds him so much of her, and that also got her killed, hurts. besides, he regetted treating lori badly after the farm, that's why her death hit him like a truck.
+ Arivor Yes it is. He told LORI that he will be a FATHER for this Baby AND he told Shane the same.. AND he made clear that he knew about Lori and Shane and was still angry when he thought that she took the abortionpills without speaking to him. He WANTED her to have that baby even though he KNEW that Carl was born via c-section AND that he is now living in a world in what that could mean that he has to raise this little one without Lori. He kind of killed Shane because he was ready to accept and raise her as his own instead of giving Lori and the baby "free". So that IS his baby, HIS responsibility no matter whose genes she is carrying. And I am happy they took that scene out.. because he is acting like a childish crybaby.
Fraukie - word! and, even if he had never made those promises, Judith is Carl's - HIS kid's - SISTER. Therefore family. the bond between siblings is the most important bond, and as a parent he has a responsibility to make that bond as strong and loving as possible.
No. It is not, the producers of The Walking Dead already confirmed that Judith is Shane's daughter and not Rick's, Lori only said that because she no longer felt anything for Shane but she herself knew that the baby she was expecting was from Shane and not Rick's and he's not acting like a cry baby he's just mad about the fact that Judith isn't his daughter and the reason why Lori is dead he thinks if Shane hadn't slept with his wife Lori She would still be alive and Judith wouldn't exist, he just doesn't know how to take care of a child alone or that he wants me to do the same thing that fucking Lori did who had the nerve to sleep with Shane.
They should've used this scene. It's fairly normal, even biological father could hate his baby after his wife died giving birth. It's just a kind of psychological distress.

He was grieving. You do weird things and aren’t yourself when you’re grieving
I miss the times where Daryl actually spoke
Now he just growls
We aren't even allowed to see his eyes for fucks sake. They ruined him. He says 2 words per season.
lillovebuglily His hair got longer and lines got shorter
PUTIN'S NEIGHBOR actually in season 7 Daryl said 3 words...
BOOM!!!!
Growls and grunts. He was so much more interesting before the writers turned him into a mute emo mope.

The tension in this scene is so palpable. I miss this season and these characters. All of them, even the minor characters.

This is way better than the scene they put in

He ignored the baby because the baby couldn't understand what happened to be scared to cause the need for concern, we are unsure who is the father.
The only reason he ignored Judith was because it's Shane's child not his.
