    Excellent video. I had my co2 and light timers all set up for 8 hours during the day when im not even home. But this makes perfect sense, have the lights and co2 on when im home from work, so i can enjoy watching the tank grow, thats the whole idea after all hey!? So now i have set it all for 4pm til 11pm. Thanks for this good advice

    Start with 6h in a new tank, after 1 month increase buy 30min every week, until 8h per day. Co2 ON 1 hour before light ON and turn off 1 hour before lights off. If got algae reduce light 1h, if problem not solved, reduce to 6h, never less than 6 hours.

    • @zlk718

      Ada recommends dosing liquid fertilizers while the lights are on. It's written in the manuals for their brighty line of ferts. They don't give a reason though.

    If you leave the lights on for 24 hours even once, your plants start to die and melt. I did it by accident a month ago and my moss has never recovered fully. Get a timer!

    For a 60p heavily planted tank with a lot of red stem plants is 7 hours of light + 7 hours of co2 at 90 bubbles per minute(1.5 bubbles/second) good enough?

    • @NORIaquaCh

    • @NORIaquaCh

    My tank is placed on the balcony and it receives direct sunlight (not the entire aquarium) in morning as the sun rises for 30mins and stays in shade all day except when the sun sets, it receives a lil direct sunlight only on the substrate but i’m planning adding floaters. My question is should I turn my artificial light on day? Or is the light in balcony enough? Or turn my light at 6pm til 10pm? I have no idea what to do.

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Official WASABI Moderator: This is a tricky one, UV plus an aquarium light will cause algae issues. If it's getting enough direct sunlight, you probably don't even need the light :)
