@user-hm1vb1gq4h full size tarps are 27’ long. You can choose 4, 6, or 8’ for the drops on the side. 2 27’ long tarps will cover a full 53’ flatbed load. They of course come in smaller sizes for different size loads.
Hello Mr Alex. Here are the tarp sizes I have found that worked the best for me, two at 16x24 and one 16x20. These tarps will cover 95% of all my loads. I also have a 12x24 light weight. When I get new tarps I will buy light weight tarps that are a whole lot easer to tarp with. Alex thanks for another great video and good luck on your truck repairs.
16 feet wide is a 4 foot. A 24 foot wide is a 8 foot drop. And a 20 foot is a 6 foot drop. This combination work great for me. You just turn the tarps to according to your needs.
If your worried about weight what's the difference between the flap connected or if they're separate. I've drove since 1978 and the first 10 years I drove was flat bed, get a good 5 ft. Drop lumber tarp that covers 80% of loads. If you get a load taller slid your lumber tarp to one side a use curtain tarp underneath the otherside.
Ya know. I've been thinking. If you do it right. If you plan properly. With the proper truck and trailer. You can make a non cdl hotshot pay decently. You gotta know the inner workings tho. Gotta understand and be willing to go to Washington State. Or Maine or key west. Hmmmm 🤔🤔
Thanks for all your videos! I'm sure it's a chore to keep cranking them out. You're always upbeat and genuine. Where do you prefer to purchase your tarps? Also, 14oz, 18oz, etc?
Alex back in the day we had 4 ft drops with with 2 side curtains. I don't like them as well as 8 ft lumber tarp. But the way I made it easier is if the load is 6 ft tall and I had 4 ft tarps, move the tarp to one side and use one of the side curtains, instead of both.
TP , ya have not answered where ya get your tarps . What gives Senor ? I’m doing my due diligence so I can get started . I will probably start with the enterprise rental and work on fixing my 2008 Chevy Duramax 2500HD 4x4 for later as owner operator. What size of gooseneck trailer do ya recommend and did ya buy it New or used ? Thanks
hey boss!! im looking into non cdl hotshot more and more, listening to all the vlogs and etc. These tarps you speak of where may I find these? Thanks again for all the info!!!
I’m just getting ready to start hotshot in about a month. Last week I ordered two tarps not knowing anything about it. I went with 18oz material. One is a 24x18 steel tarp the other a 24x20 8’ drop lumber tarp. This is for a 40’ trailer. Maybe it’ll cover what I need to start.
How’s your hot shot business going about this many months? I am a week away and just bought similar size tarps from mytee. Hope things are going great!
Hey so where are you getting your tarps. I'm just getting to hotshoting and when you look up these tarts its hard to tell if they have the four side rings. Hard to find a 20x27 ect. So I suppose your running 14oz or 18oz. Where can you find them cause I have had no luck from what your saying
or heat and bend a larger bug guard i dont see any wax on her either remember slippery always even windshields u can wax umm think of it as anti corrioson
Man dude I hate tarping loads I had one tarp that out weighted me by a lot that thing was 200 lbs and use to beat my ass lol I end up getting a light weight tarp but I still hate using it because I can never secure the thing properly so it’s always flopping and flapping causing drivers to take caution on passing me
I just started the video and then immediately paused it to make my guess. I will say a 4 or 6 foot drop tarp is best. Let's see what you say in the video.
Does the 10' have D rings also???
Where do you get those tarps
Do you have a link to these tarps?I’ll even buy all ur hotshot tarps straps binders chains from ur buisness if you still have them
Thanks so much really appreciate the helpful information
27’ + 27’ = 54’ which will cover your 53’ flatbed with 1’ for overlap.
Dream Inspired most flatbed class 8 trailers are 48 ft long.

Make a video taking about the food did you recommend
So, TP is a hotshot driver AND a nutritionist?
Soon enough they'll be asking what underwear to use while driving hotshot.🤣🤣🤣
